Bainbridge Island, WAA very nice unit and a great location.
Left on 05/15/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Unit D277 is very modern and very clean. It has a great Lanai with a direct view of the beautiful pool and a nice view of the ocean. You are only steps from the sandy beach and the rental shack where you can rent kayaks, paddle boats, beach chairs, etc. One note: the bedroom is located up a narrow staircase and there is no bathroom up there. My wife and I did not find that to be much of a problem, but we suggest you unpack your clothes in the downstairs bathroom, plenty of drawers and quite convenient. This was a very nice vacation condo and we would certainly stay there again. You'll enjoy the ocean front walk that goes through the property and south to the Hyatt Resort and north to the Mahana.

My wife and I stayed in D277 and very much enjoyed the modern furnishings and the great view from the lanai. We would certainly stay here again and would recommend it to others. One note: the bedroom is located up a narrow staircase and there is no bathroom upstairs.
From the lanai, you look directly at the beautiful pool and to the right is a lovely view of the ocean. You are only steps from the sandy beach and the rental shack (stand up paddle boards, kayaks, beach chairs, etc). The property is very lovely and low key. The ocean front walk cuts through the property and is a great way to start the day on Kaanapali Beach. -

Santa Rosa CAlovely "old Hawaii" resort with great ocean views and access
Left on 04/04/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We enjoyed our time very much. The condo was very nice. The spiral
stair case should be given a thorough heads up to potential renters as this would be challenging to manage for many people especially with any leg, back or renal issues. Also, when renting in a beach front resort it felt a bit tacky and irritating to have such difficulties getting beach towels (charge more and include with the rental) Don't want to sound negative please take constructively. Thank you!

Langley (Vancouver) British ColumbiaBad start but great location
Left on 08/17/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We had a bad start. We arrived at our rented condo a few hours early. When we went to check in, we were told our condo was not ready. We chose to change and go and enjoy the beach. When we returned at the correct check-in time, we were told once again the condo was not ready as the villa representative had not received the key back from the maid. I asked him to call Chase N'Rainbows - he did and was told that someone would call back. They didn't. After another hour wait, we asked him to contact C N R once again. He did and was told someone would would come with a key. He told us you office is only 15 min away but we waited another hour for your representative to appear with a spare key. Once in the condo, everything was fantastic. The condo was well appointed and had everything the two of required. We couldn't ask for a better location - overlooking the pool and only a 100 ft. from the beach. If I had to change the condo in any way, it would have been nice to have a bathroom in the loft near the bedroom. We had a great vacation, just an extremely frustrating start.

We had a great time - place was exactly as shown in the pictures and nice and clean. Great time snorkeling right off the beach or watching whales from the lanai. Only thing that would have made it better would have been a window to leave open, had air conditioning but would have loved the breeze and sound of the waves.

Disappointed This Year
CaliforniaD-277 No Rebooking for Us
Left on 06/01/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Once a year we make our trek to Mkvillas and stay in the Emerald Building. This year we tried something new. We were disappointed w/our stay this year in this condo for several reasons. Our first disappointment was the owners did not provide any beach chairs, mats or beach accessories and prohibited anything in the unit because it would smell like the ocean/beach. Hello? Other condos have had wonderful guest accessories. Secondly,a loft is not for us. Heat rises and there is no fan upstairs and if you are a large person, think twice about booking. Third, if decor means alot to you and you are expecting a tropical, beachy theme that transitions out into the gorgeous grounds, you will be disappointed. Fourth, all other units that we have stayed in have a washer/dryer availabe in the condo to use. Not this one. Unfortunately, a ground unit was being refurbished two doors down and they were using a polyurethane that infilterated the condo for 3days leaving a terribly strong smell in the condo. The Villas are a wonderful place to stay. The beach is fabulous, the Cafe' and the grounds are emaculate, but will not re-book D-277.

Denver, COA delightful place to relax and enjoy.
Left on 05/30/2011 for a stay in May 2011
This unit is just like the pictures...updated, clean and well-kept. It has a nice view from the lanai of the quiet pool and the beautiful ocean. This area is nice and less busy compared to neighboring resorts. An ideal getaway! The kitchen has all the ammenities you need and the bed is very comfortable. Just watch your head on the low ceiling in the loft!

My husband and I had the perfect stay in unit D277. The unit was great with all the amenities you would ever need for your stay. We loved the large lanai overlooking the pool and beach and spent many mornings and evenings enjoying the tropical birds that would visit us!
We had stayed at the Maui Kaanapali Villas with our children a few years back and knew it was the perfect location for us. The beach, grounds, and pool etc. are gorgeous and so close in proximately to walk to Whalers Village shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again. Loved the unit well maintained and nicely renovated. -

Vancouver, BCGreat place to relax!
Left on 05/04/2011 for a stay in March 2011
We stayed here for 6 days in March 2011. Checking in was a breeze. The unit has everything you need to stay in and cook for yourself and Safeway is a short drive away. The view from the patio is amazing and the location is great for the Kaanapali area. Great beach and the pool and lawns are really well kept. Here are my minor complaints: The lighting isn't great in the unit because they use the enviro bulbs throughout so it has a flourescent look. I almost bought my own regular bulbs at Safeway. The pool and hot tub are great except family's tend to treat the hot tub like a day care. The sign clearly states children under 5 (or something) are not allowed in the hot tub but it's typically full of little kids all day. The audio equipment is tough to operate but the Tv's are great. But overall. a very nice unit that I would not hesitate to stay at again. Probably the best location in the complex. Loved sitting on the lanai at night. Wished we had eaten at the restaurant on the premises more. The people are very nice and the prices are reasonable. Very convenient.

D277 was a great condo to rent; loved all the updated features - tile floor, huge bathroom, granite counters.
Loved the location of the villas (right next to beach); loved using the Shuttle; the only negative was not having any in suite laundry and the winding staircase to the bedroom upstairs was a killer (especially if you have back problems). -

If you plan on going to Maui, stay in Lahaina/Ka'anapali. And if you plan on staying in Lahaina/Ka'anapali, and a one-bedroom is sufficient, you must book through ChaseNrainbows and stay in Unit D277 at the Maui Kaanapali Villas. It was just renovated in Nov 2009, so everything is practically new. Very clean and quiet, nice new appliances, pretty views from the Lanai of the pool and ocean, a 50 step distance to the beach, and the on-site restaurant, Castaway Cafe, is a treasure! The only cons - old barely-working iron, no Dvds to enjoy the Lcds/Blurays, and lighting isn't bright enough at night. And put everything in the fridge, because food on the counter will be attacked by ants by the time you wake up the next morning. But other than that, a perfect little place!

Clovis, CAMost relaxing trip ever.
Left on 09/15/2010 for a stay in September 2010
From the first day our trip was wonderful. The room was great, with a fantastic view. The people at the facility are the friendliest and most accomodating of any resort we have ever stayed. This was our 3rd stay at the Villas and we are already planning next years trip, which will be our 10th trip to Maui.

My husband and I loved the Maui Kaanapali Villa's. Unit D-277 was fabulous, as well as the beach out front. The view from our Lanai was amazing. The pool and hot tub area was great. We loved it at this property so much and had such good service from Chase N Rainbows that we are booked to come back april 2011. When renting at the Mkv's, units through Chase N Rainbows are the way to go. You get the unit you want, not what they choose for you at the unsite management company.

North IdahoWhat a great condo for the money!
Left on 06/21/2010 for a stay in May 2010
This condo was one we found through Vrbo. My wife and I were traveling by ourselves and not looking for anything too luxurious, just a nice place near the ocean. We definitely got what we paid for and more here! Aston Kaanapali Villas is an older resort but in the process of getting some renovations (the lobby was closed during our stay, but the friendly front-desk staff moved to a unit close by). The condo itself was recently renovated and it is in great shape. The view of the ocean and island of Lana'i from our balcony was a popular breakfast and reading place. The pool was clean and offered good lounging, as did the grassy area right next to the beach. The bed might be one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in!
You're not too far away from giant mega-resorts for shopping, eating, etc. if you want, and Lahaina is only a few minutes away. You can enjoy the amenities of being in Kannapali but pay several hundred dollars less than some comparable resorts in the area. Central and east Maui are a bit of a haul, but the drive is definitely scenic. I would enthusiastically recommend this condo to any couples wanting a good bargain and a great experience in west Maui. -

My daughter and I stayed in this unit for a week and were so sad to leave. This unit is beautiful - it appears to have been recently remodeled and they did an outstanding job. The kitchen has every amenity you could need and the king sized bed was so comfortable. This unit is in a perfect location - close to the pool, beach and restaurant. I will definately be staying here again!
