Boise, IDLoved the Pikake... especially the beach!
Left on 04/18/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We absolutely loved our accommodations at the Pikake. The location was ideal for us and the view phenomenal. We could practically touch the beach from our lanai, and we spent hours playing in the sand and waves, watching the turtles up close, and spotting whales in the distance. With two young children, it was also convenient to be close to the beach park. We also liked being close to the Farmer's Market - especially on the outdoor market days (MWF). We enjoyed being in a small complex and practically had the beach to ourselves much of the time. The other residents and guests were all very friendly and the aloha spirit was definitely alive at the Pikake.
Our unit was clean, very nice and met all of our needs... plenty of cups, dishes, and cooking equipment to make anything we wanted in the kitchen (although the hot water heater cabinet was a bit wonky & the frying pan needs to be replaced; also plug for kitchen sink was missing). The blender was a champ!! A boogie board & beach umbrella in the closet were pleasant surprises. We rented beach towels through Chase 'N Rainbows and would recommend doing that to everyone. I felt like the price was more than reasonable for such an amazing location right on the beach (and no crowds!).
My only suggestions would be to provide a multipurpose cleaning spray to wipe down the counters (we did have a few little black bugs/ants in the kitchen, nothing bothersome or unexpected in the tropical climate, but I would have liked to to sanitize that area). Also would have been nice to have an extra blanket to use on the sofa bed and another chair or two for the lanai (there was only one). The couch was worn but comfy. Also just to note there are no window coverings so it was very bright which was great except when trying to get kids to nap. You could hear the traffic in the bedroom, but also the waves so didn't bother us. All in all we were very happy and hope to return. Mahalo!

Issaquah, WAPerfect Location!
Left on 03/13/2013 for a stay in March 2013
This condo is beautiful, fully updated, and has the best view you could ask for. We woke up every morning, and went to bed each night to the sound of the ocean. The condo had everything we needed to be able to cook our breakfasts and dinners to eat on the lanai while watching the waves... and the whales!!! Since it was whale season, we were lucky enough to do some whale watching right from our room, which was incredible. Chase'n Rainbows provided us with all the information we needed for a comfortable stay, easy check in and out of the condo, and they even gave us a gift - a soft cooler - that we used everyday for our lunches. We had no problems, and enjoyed everything about our condo and it's location! Thanks Chase'n Rainbows!

We usually stay in a very nearby condo, this being our first experience at Pikake. Naturally, there would be some apprehention. From the moment we walked into B-1 the we were at ease. The view was beautiful, even caught the end of whale migration. Saw dolphins and of course turtles galore. The unit itself was clean and welcoming. The location is perfect for what we like to do while on Maui. We absolutely would recommend this unit.

I recently stayed at Pikake #B1 for a week. I loved this little condo. I would definitely stay here again. The location has beautiful views. It was airy so there is no need for a/c. Everything worked well. The turtles gather on the rocks out front so we took a swim with them. It is so close to the water that you can't hear the TV but who needs TV. Its within walking distance to the park, coffee shop, market & my favorite teriyaki place Okazuya and short drive to Whalers Village & Lahina. Great spot.

Portland, ORWonderful!
Left on 09/14/2011 for a stay in September 2011
The location of the condo was nice. It has a tiny beach out front where turtles came every day. There is a wonderful farmer's market about a block away. The best snorkel spot was at the beach near there, Kahekili Beach, which also had a long boardwalk to Ka'anapali. Also, several beaches north of there were also beautiful and fun. We stayed for our honeymoon and it was nice to have our own place to come back to. The kitchen had a view of the ocean which was nice while making food or drinks. You can see the ocean from the bedroom too! We loved our stay at Pikake and will come back in the future. Maui was as magical and wonderful as we had heard.

Left on 06/20/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We stayed at the pikake for 10 days in June. It's an ideal location - right on the water. The unit contains everything you'd need - kitchen, comfy sofa, big screen TV, etc. The only drawback is that the bedroom is located at the back of the unit and the street noise makes it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

My adult daughter & I stayed at the Pikake on Maui and had a terrific time. The condo was wonderful, the view from our balcony was breathtaking and Chase N Rainbow made sure to take care of any little thing that we needed. I have recommended this condo and Chase N Rainbow to friends.
Maui is Paradise and we had a lot of fun on the island and would go back and I would use Chase N Rainbow and stay at the Pikake again. -

We had a wonderful time. The room was simple, but had very little problems. The screens need to be replaced in the windows, as there were some bug issues some nights. The cleaning staff were friendly and did an excellent job.

Left on 10/14/2010 for a stay in October 2010
We stayed 8 nights in Pikake B-1. We did have a problem getting the key in the code box to work. It took twenty minutes of jiggling it to finally get the dead bolt lock open. It didn't seem like a good start, but after all our stay was fine. It was right on the ocean and has a great beach. We could see the ocean from the balcony and even from the bed! We saw large turtles come up close to the beach and swam with them while snorkeling. The location was great! Lots of walk to shopping, great nearby restaurants and a very nice laundry facility on the grounds. The unit has an updated kitchen, but is overall rather dated. Some of the windows need attention...the mechanisms were broken and the screens had holes, but there were plenty of windows in this end unit, so it didn't matter much. There are no window coverings in this unit which would be nice to block out the hot afternoon sun, although it cools off nicely after sunset. Some street noise (unavoidable) and a loud sprinkler system that goes on at 4:30 am. were not great, but still we loved it! Be sure you drive up north to the mountain for some beautiful nearby views. We definitely would recommend this unit. We rented through Chase"N Rainbows who were very helpful and responsive.

This was our first trip to Hawaii, it was way more than we expected. We have been on alot of vacations but none that have made us so eager to return. The condo was very nice. The location could not have been better, we got to swim with the turtles each day!!! Paradise here on earth!!! We plan on returning in March, and moving to the islands in the next 3 years. Left on 06/30/2010 for a stay in June 2010
The condo was sparkling clean when we arrived. The the interim cleaning by Rosa was efficient, thurough, and unlike in most hotels, non-disruptive. The permanent residents were welcoming and helpful. The grounds were well-maintained and attractive. When the blender malfunctioned the management office cheerfully replaced it the next morning . Small issues: would have appreciated extra blankets kept available in the unit-some nights one was insufficient. The DVD player did not work-"no signal" error message on the screen with all connections verified. The check-in was a bit rough-the key refused to open one of the locks and needed lots of force to finally work-we never used that lock again in the fear of being locked out.

Seattle, WAPleasant Stay at Pikake
Left on 04/28/2010 for a stay in April 2010
We enjoyed our stay. The building is dated but the unit we stayed in had been renovated and it was very nice.
The only annoying thing was that I asked ahead of time whether or not there was a hairdryer in the unit and the person I emailed couldn't answer that question. Since we carried our bags on the plane we had very little extra space. All that was needed was for someone to check in the bathroom and see that there were in fact 2 hairdryers in there. It would have saved us from bringing one. Someone was dropping off towels for us anyways so they could have checked then.
PROS:
-excellent view
-good ventilation
-nice kitchen
CONS:
-small bathroom
-bedroom is a bit noisy since the street is nearby
-fridge moved every time we opened it - it needs to be stabilized -
