Really impressed with the unit we stayed in and want to let you know that it is a real treat to stay in a room that was so clean! Please let the owners know how pleased we were with the housekeeping that you are responsible for. Also the 1 800 toll free service was great. We had a few concerns, and they answered all, were easy to reach and very helpful. We weren't sure how renting from a condo would be, but pretty impressed with the whole experience. Thank you

The condo is really nice. The kitchen has top appliances. Very convenient.The facility is really nice, close to beach,has a restaurant and very well maintained. Unfortunately the carpets were not clean in the condo and the bathroom lighting and mirrors are not adequate for the ladies. Poor lighting and only one mirror. Instructions for the a/c and tv needed to be added to there booklet.We were there for a wedding...We would stay again in that facility, but probally not in that condo.

Good service, beautiful beach front property. The condo was very nice. The pros - new, upgraded, sofa couch was comfy, tv in living room and bed room. Huge lanai. The cons - no space to put anything in the bathroom or the kitchen. My makeup bag, etc. ended up on the bathroom floor. The groceries were on the counter. So in that respect it was a bad design. The lanai was huge, but the furniture was too big for the space so you had to move stuff around to get to the other side.
Location was great. We loved Duke's. Pools were nice but there was a lot of small pools so felt crowded.
My fav. feature is, of course, beautiful Maui!

The condo (in general), location and amenities were great. The bathroom lighting is terrible. There is only one mirror, it would be nice to have a full length mirror in the bathroom or bedroom. Also, it would be helpful to provide a list of TV channels.
We were not impressed by Chase 'N Rainbows Real Estate, Inc. Prior to our leaving for our trip, we received an e-mail saying that we will be receiving a packet with instructions 21 days prior to our departure. We were heading to the airport on March 9 for our flight on the 10 and had received nothing so I e-mailed you a few days prior to our leaving and received a response that the information had been sent via e-mail on Feb. 28 and would be resent immediately. I checked all my e-mails and nothing had been received from you on the 28th of Feb. or any day thereafter. We arrived in Maui on March 10 and called your office around 11:30 a.m. asking for an address so the rental car person could provide directons from the airport to the condo. The person I spoke with was very rude, told me that I could not get into the condo until 3 p.m. (which I knew)and said that our instructions had been e-mailed twice (again, I did not receive them). The reason we were in Hawaii was for our son's wedding. Our entire family and close friends of the bride and groom, had a wonderful experience with their Hawaiian contact person. They all received their "packets" in a timely manner, someone met them at the Condo, took them to their units, showed them how to work the appliances, etc. One member of the group even had their parking paid by their contact person, another was provided passes to a local event. We all stayed in the same complex on different floors. We received a call from the cleaning people a day before our departure reminding us that we had to be out of the condo by 11:00 a.m. We told them that we would be out by 9:00 a.m.
My husband and I felt that once you received your money, you were done with us. -

We rented this pretty much at the last minute and it turned out to be a good choice. The unit was very clean and well furnished. The pull-out bed of the couch is very uncomfortable. I would suggest replacing it. This unit was on the 'mountain-view' side and there were a few occasions that smells from what I assume is a treatment plant made it to our room. The parking was convenient.
The grounds are beautiful as are the pools. We like the layout of all the pools. Staff are very nice and helpful. No problems at all.
Working with Chase 'N Rainbows was easy and they, too were very helpful and responsive. I would definitely use their services again. -

The resort was excellent. The condo was very nice but lacked a lot of extra amenities ie: spices, laundry detergent, beach chairs etc.

overall, i liked the property, good location and i knew what i was getting. there were some small issues (key stopped working and it took 45 minutes to fix) but i did enjoy it.

Unit 932 at Honua Kai is a good value but has some shortcomings. It is a very small one bedroom. There is no space for groceries in the kitchen, no counter space in the bathroom. There is only one mirror in the unit, in the bath, and the bath doesn't connect with the bedroom. Hard for a women to get dressed There is only one towel rack in the bath. You can't hang two towels and a wash cloth. The shower head sprayed a stinging needle-like spray that was uncomfortable and it was not adjustable. You can't open the patio doors without hitting the patio furniture. On the plus side, Honua Kai is a very nice project. The pools are great and the beach is pretty and uncrowded. The $10 fee to self-park is a ripoff and should be eliminated.

We really had no idea what to expect but were so excited when we entered our room. The room was so tastefully decorated and the stainless steel appliances were beautiful. The full kitchen was such an added bonus. We were able to
make our meals and have plenty of time to go play on the beach or by one of the many beautiful pools. I love how the staff at chase'n rainbows were so quick to please. We phoned with alot of questions and were treated very well. We have recomended Chase'N Rainbows to alot of our friends and family and we would definitely rent from them again. -

Wow what can I say!!! We had an awesome time and it was hard to leave. The room was fantastic as well as the resort.

Everything about our vacation to the Honua Kai was perfect! Our condo was spotless, and had everything we needed. We loved the gourmet market in the lobby (they had the best lattes and pastries), Duke's Restaurant was a wonderful treat to have onsite. The pools were amazing. Taking walks on the boardwalk along the beach in the morning was a great way to start our day. I can't say enough about our experience! Can't wait to go back!

We stayed in unit #932 and it was beautiful, clean and well-maintained. My only issue with it is that it was stripped bare of all kitchen basics like salt & pepper, cooking oil, sugar, spices...nothing there when we arrived. Compare that to our friend's rental (#210 I think) that had all of those things plus a closet full of beach toys & snorkeling gear and laundry detergent. We left all of the stuff we bought behind so I hope it stays there for future guests. Also, our instructions indicated that there was a $10/day parking fee that had to be paid upfront...I later learned that we could have used the self-parking option for free which I would have appreciated knowing about. All in all, it was an amazing vacation...loved the easy wi-fi access and Dukes restaurant on the beach was a highlight. My kids (4 and 7) loved the pools and water slide and hunting for frogs in the dark.

Honua Kai was lovely. The property is great: beautiful pool area, nice beach, convenient location for what we wanted to do on vacation. This condo is advertised as mountain view, but it's probably just better to say that you do not face the beach or ocean. Yes, there is a "mountain" in the distance, but really your view is the parking lot in and road in front of Honua Kai. But since I didn't spend much time in the condo, that did not matter. The condo itself was great: clean, modern, very comfortable. It was like staying at a very nice hotel. I definitely would rent again at this property. The rest of the family rented another condo in this same building - larger to accommodate their kids. They loved Honua Kai, too.

Perfect and best vacation for my family of three. We have been everywhere, europe, thailand (8 times), all over the the us this location and facility tops them all.
Quiet fantastic new building with top of the line kitchen (we cook), good service, good parking, best Kaanapali location and Lahaina Town nearby. snorkeling is also fantastic. We Will be back for sure in 2011 if not sooner. -
