      The Perfect Place to Stay!

Left on 04/30/2013 for a stay in April 2013

My husband and I decided to take a long weekend from Minneapolis over to Hawaii to enjoy a much needed break. We haven't traveled alone (without the kids) in 12 years, so we wanted someplace quiet, relaxing, and with a great ocean view. The Hibuscus House was perfect! We looked at many Ta reviews and chose this one for the view, the beach access, and the price. After looking at so many hotels and their prices, only to maybe see a partial view of the ocean, we decided to go the vacation rental route. We would never go any other way, after this experience. Heck, my father-in-law already took down the info before we got home, so he can look into booking it for his next trip, after seeing the pictures and videos we sent home while we were staying there.

Ed was very responsive, and we liked that he answered our questions before booking; ultimately, that was what made us choose this property over another we were considering.

The condo was very clean, the bed super comfortable (with extra blankets and pillows in the closet), and we loved that there were a couple of beach chairs, snorkel gear, and a cooler in the bathroom closet. The kitchen was wonderful to have - we headed to the supermarket and stocked up (a little too much, as we ended up leaving some food and spirits behind for the next group :) ) and were able to kick back and relax.

We talked to John (the concierge) and ended up booking a Molokini trip based on his recommendation which was perfect. The rest of the time, we lounged on the beach, grilled up steaks (the gas grills have a beautiful view out to the ocean), and just hung out on the lanai.

If you are looking for an affordable, ocean-front property that is well-appointed, clean and has many ammenities, this is the one!

Amazing first impression of Maui at this condo!

Left on 01/04/2013 for a stay in December 2012

This was mine and my husband's first time to Maui and we absolutely loved it. Staying at this condo truly made our trip. As others have said, we didn't spend a ton of time there, the time we did spend was amazing. We used the grills right in front of the ocean to cook dinner (plan your dinners around sunset, amazing view while grilling) and meet new people. We ate on the lanai and shared wine out there. The pool area is very nice and clean. The only nitpicky thing I can think of is in order to get to the grounds of the condo you have to go through a locked gate, closer than walking through the office area.
The location is perfect, Lahaina has so much to offer and the towns around it are quaint and easy to access. You will get a parking pass and don't have to worry about paying extra as you would at any hotel.
At the condo you get the homey feel which we didn't get during our last three days at Lahaina Shores Beach Resort. At the condo you are provided with beach towels, chairs and mats and a cooler (came in really handy when we circumnavigated West Maui and South Maui).
Also, snorkeling out in front of the condo is amazing. We saw a bunch of turtles and fish. Bonus is that you don't have to drive anywhere!
Don't second guess and book somewhere else, enjoy your time on Maui and stay at the Hibiscus House! You won't regret it.

Fantastic ocean view in a relaxing, modern condo!

Left on 11/02/2012 for a stay in October 2012

My husband Steve and I really enjoyed our stay in this tidy, comfy condo. The fact that it was a condo and not a gargantuan hotel gave our entire Maui experience a more familiar, homey feel which we absolutely loved. Super soft memory foam on queen mattresss ... Nice! New a/C unit was impressive.

We recommend that anyone staying here read the guest book for excellent tips on where to go, not to go, what to eat and what not to eat while in Maui.

This was our first Maui experience but definitely not our last. We plan on revisiting this very same condo (schedule permitting) in 2013!

Beautiful spot perfectly appointed for a lovely Maui vacation.

Left on 01/08/2012 for a stay in December 2011

This apartment met all our needs and the location was just what we wanted. Near Lahaina and other great beaches we found it was a perfect spot for a first trip to Maui (and there will be more to be sure!) The property was lovely thanks to amazing landscaping and proximity to the ocean. The amenities in the apartment we perfect for our needs and the instructions and information provided by the owner made everything easy to figure out. Be sure to read the comments from previous guests when you arrive in the trip log for some good tips and ideas about the area.

The bedroom is near the door and the staircase to the other units so it can be a bit noisy when folks come in late to the other units. Not a real issue to worry about but our first night we did wake up a couple of times.

This was a very satisfying rental for us.

      Excellent Christmas Getaway

Left on 01/05/2011 for a stay in December 2010

We loved our stay at the Hibiscus House. The place is beautifully designed with modern amenities while maintaining a cozy Hawaiian feel. We were happy to spend a day of our vacation just relaxing on the lanai just watching the ocean while sipping wine.

The view from the lanai is amazing. We were able to watch whales breaching with field glasses supplied in the entertainment center under the TV.

A sandy beach perfect for swimming and recreation sits about 100 yards south of the condo and there are several semi-secluded rocky beaches running up the coast.

Ed(the owner) was very nice and accommodating. We had to make some last minute changes to our vacation plans and he quickly replied to our emails/phone calls to help any way he could.
