The Spirit of aloha will embrace you from the moment you arrive at The Whaler Suite 802. The Maui decor is elegant while providing comfort and relaxation at a premium. The exceptionally equipped kitchen will accommodate casual to gourmet culinary tastes. The appliances are first class.
We were 2 adult couples staying in this beautiful island home. The beds were so comfortable that we all remarked on our wonderful restful sleep (even my dear friend that has sleep challenges had the best sleep in months!). The linens were new and crisp, and the outer bedding was immaculate.
The condo was so roomy. We never felt like we did not have our own "space". The lanai was a 90 degree wrap around and provided so much room we could've invited all of the Sheraton Luau performers up for Mai Tais after the Luau - but we did not. (Really, JaNell, we did not... )
The owners provided outstanding service and gave us a call on the 2nd night to make sure that we had everything we needed. I have stayed at many Maui condos, and JaNell and Simon are by far the most accommodating. They provided excellent follow through from the moment of reserving their home, to the sad point of our departure.
The location is so perfect. It is a quick walk to excellent snorkeling at Black Rock. Mr. Sea Turtle is there every day! The Whaler Village is a quick walk for shopping and ocean front restaurants.
The Master Suite is unbelievable - it is beyond definition. Our friends won the toss on the Master Suite. They tried not to rave about it too much. We were very happy with our room. It was beautiful, incredibly comfortable and the view was outstanding. Even though my dear friend tried not to gloat, she could not keep from raving about the soaking tub in the Master Suite. (she did offer to let me use it...)
Did we love the Spirit of aloha? (Aka Suite 802 at The Whaler) We are already planning our next trip! (And next time my husband and I get the Master Suite!)

You will love this condo. Location cant be beat, right on Kaanapali beach beside Whaler Village but on the quiet side. Can see black rock and watch evening torch ceremony, wine in hand, on the wrap around lanai. Beautifully furnished in island style but without the cutsie version you often find. Owners great to work with, very reliable and helpful before you get there and throughout the stay. Have stayed in a number of Whaler condos over the years, most all high floors and ocean front, and this is my favorite. They also have fully stocked kitchen, including food basics, so its particularly nice, like being at home.

Viewing rainbows and whales while having coffee on the lanai (balcony), we had a dream vacation at the Whaler #802. We never felt like leaving the property and Kaanapali Beach. Everything looks exactly as it does in the pictures on the site. Each room is visually stunning, yet so comfortable. If you have forgotten anything, it is probably provided, and if you want to cook or barbeque, the kitchen has everything you will need. We snorkeled on the beach outside the condo with snorkel gear, again provided.
We saw our first Humpback Whale breaching on December 11, and every day thereafter right from our lanai. We worked out in the gym, swam in the pool on the beach, and saw the most amazing rainbows over the water while the sun was shinning! Maui No Ka Oi (there is no better) and so is the whaler #802. It was a magical experience. -

This unit is the whole package... Location, view, amenities, creature comforts. We are a party of 5 (3 adults and 2 children) who have traveled to Maui several times and stayed at some very nice condos but I have to say this unit was our best condo experience yet. Everything from the owner interaction (JaNell is wonderful to work with and really cares about her guests) to the condo itself blew us away. I highly recommend this unit to anyone who wants their Maui experience to be special... you will not be disappointed! Thank you JaNell!!!

We have visited Maui for the past 27 years and by far this was our best vacation. All due to the great stay we had at this wonderful condo(home). The views from the rooms were fantastic and the amenities in this unit were all you could ask for. (5 Tv's including the NFL package, rain shower, soaking tub, modern unique appiances,2 huge bedrooms, etc.etc.). Located right on the best beach in Maui with great views of Lanai and Molokai you can't ask for anything more. We can't wait to return to Maui and stay in this wonderful home.

Unit #802 is absolutely stunning! The owners have spared no expense making it top-of-the-line and beautiful. The attention to detail is superb. Our family felt like we were in a home, not a condo.
They even supplied beach gear; chairs, snorkeling gear, cooler, etc. Our Maui vacation was perfect thanks to this amazing condo. We plan to return to this unit again and again. You won't be disappointed!

My husband and I along with another couple recently stayed in Suite 802 at the Whaler Maui. It was absolutely incredible. Everything one would need is right at your fingertips. All the beach chairs, snorkel gear,and paddle boards were left for us to use. The unit was impeccable and every morning we had coffee and breakfast over looking a spectacular view. Nothing could have been nicer. Great location also. Close to everthing!!! The owners of the unit were excellent to deal with. Would go back in a heartbeat.!!!

We recently stayed at the Whaler condo 802 and had a wonderful time and an exceptional stay. The condo was appointed better than any condo I have previously rented and was equipped with a wolf stove, Miele appliances and the best cooking eqipment I have seen in a condo for rent. The upgraded bathrooms were also outfitted with the best money can buy.Overall we felt like we were in the lap of luxury.

For the last 20 years we have always stayed in Condo's for vacation. My wife, family & myself were amazed at the quality, condition and all the ammenities the McCullough's have for thier guests in unit#802. The Whaler is a very nice resort, and staying in thier unit made it even better. The views are spectacular. While the cost may seem a little higher than other places we looked at--the quality and ammenties of this unit more than justify the little extra cost. In addition JaNell & her husband are very nice and were a pleasure to work with. If you are planning a trip to Maui--We highly recommend contacting them and staying in thier unit. We are positive you will be as impressed as we were.

we have stayed in this unit several times...we love it and would not stay anywhere else...everything you need (except groceries)is a quick walk..the unit is beautiful and you could not have a better view on Kaanapali..great snorkeling at Black Rocks, wonderful pool and lounge area, great shopping and restaurants...the unit is gorgeous and wonderfully maintained...excellent communication with owners!

As a frequent visitor to Maui for the last 30 years I am well versed in the better locations and most of the properties on the Kannapali side of Maui.
As much homework as one can do and a many virtual tours you can take on line still have no assurance of what the unit and property will be like.
Unit 802 at the Whaler in Maui is as nice a condo as you will ever find. The furnishings and layout are immaculate and something out of a lifestyle of the rich and famous episode. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone an the owners are an absolute joy to work with. No games , very professional and a genuine interest in ensuring your stay in their home is a memory for a lifetime.

You will not find a more beautiful condominum experience on Kaanapali than this unit. My husband and I stayed for a week with our two "twenty-something" sons and decided this was by far our best Hawaiian vacation ever (we have visited the Islands a number of times over the years). The amenties were top notch - the views from the lanai were spectacular, and we truly felt as if we were "living" in Hawaii rather than just visiting. We only wish our own home was as luxurious! Great location for any type of island activity - and the owners were extremely gracious. Definitely a winner!
