We loved it!, what we saw for the 1st time we opened the door made our jaws drop. Unit 1008 is decorated beautifully and we both loved the new mattress! The location was perfect, this end of the beach was so peaceful. The views from the lanai were breathtaking, loved watching the whales and turtles. Now I know where I want to go when I am retired!!!

A comfortable home with a perfect view. The owners have included many extra amenities to make this condo feel like a cherished home and not a resort. The kitchen is fully stocked with higher end items, so cooking is a joy (a grocery store is one block away).

Spent our 30th anniversary in a condo that was everything described and more. Fabulously furnished, well equipped kitchen. Spectacular view. Watched turtles nearly every day from our lanai. Easy access to groceries/restaurants. Convenient having a concierge in the lobby. Check in was a breeze with predelivered instructions, beach towels delivered and on bed from Chase-n-Rainbows. Elevators convenient, made use of the gas grilles in the pool/spa area. Mahana is an excellent place to stay-everyone has the same view. We were up and out most everyday but to come back to such a comfortable unit in the evenings really made the trip. Beach in front of the condo has coral but suitable for snorkeling or boogie boarding/surfing, wider beach with less coral on side. Although condo had set of fins and masks, we rented equipment for minimal dollars at Snorkel Bob's for the week. Molokini crater snorkeling on the Lani Kai was a highlight day. Lots of choices for charters but this was recommended by Bob's and they were right. Saw a few whale tales, dolphins, flying fish turtles. This was a relatively quiet, more adult environment which is exactly what we were looking for.

We have stayed at the Mahana in Maui several times. We keep going back to the Mahana because it has been perfect for us. The views from the Mahana cannot be beat with every unit being ocean front. Listening to the soothing waves at night from the lanai after a fun day in paradise puts you to sleep like a baby. There is a walkway nearby, besides the morning walks on the beach, that we took that leads right to Whalers Village for shopping and great sandy beach resturants with glorious views such as Hula Grill and Lelanies. We did many excursions such as the road to Hana, luaus, biking down the mountain, snorkeling, helicopter ride, and covering Lahaina in the many times visiting Maui. Pacificos and Mamas Fish House were also big favorites! What can we say except that we love Maui and staying at the Mahana. Relaxing and taking in the beauty of each day is a must. I must tell you about how courteous and honest the staff was especially with our recent stay. Upon returning home I could not find a gold tahitian pearl necklace that I had just purchased in Maui. I searched everywhere until I was about to give up to the fact that I had lost it. I tried one last thing and that was to email the Mahana to see if I had left it there in the unit. To my surprise I soon received an email that they indeed had my necklace and that they had it in lost and found for valuable items. I was thrilled, and I could not believe that I had left it there! How honest of housekeeping, and the staff was most kind to send it to me as well. Thank you Brian Cox and to your staff ! Everyone this is a perfect example of how courteous and honest the staff of the Mahana works to make your stay pleasureable.

Amazing how relaxing it can be, just looking out over the ocean and the beach, looking for the turtles etc. The only problem is the popularity of this place, that requires a lot of advance planning to get a booking.

We stayed here back in September 2010. Had been looking at many hotels and properties in Maui and settled here. Turned out to be a fantastic choice! The room was perfect. All the utilities required were there and weren't just any old cheap thing thrown in. Everything in the room was finished very well. The view was fantastic. Can only imagine what its like when the whales pass through.
We had no issues whatsoever and would definatley stay here again. My first time booking a rental by owner and would do it again. Fantastic value. We didnt rent a car so we used the bus to get into the nearby shopping areas. This wasnt a big issue but the bus stops later in the evening. -

Me and my husband stayed in 1008 for our honeymoon. This place was amazing and looks even better then the pictures. You really cant beat the views in is condo. Every morning we would wake up to hearing and seeing the ocean along with the moon setting. One morning we woke up to a rainbow and it was so beautiful. You can see the ocean from every room in the house. It was very very clean and had everything from scotch tape to alcohol. It had boogie boards, snorkeling gear, ice chest and chairs. Literally almost everything you could need. There is a pay if forward system they have. We left wine & a few toiletries. The resort itself was beautiful, clean and friendly employees. Again the location of the resort was simply the best. We plan to come back in a few years with our family and will stay here again! The only issue we had was the mattress, it needs a upgrade very badly.

Our stay in 1008 was relaxing and the views were beautiful.
It was furnished beautifully, much better than the building
itself. The staff was lovely in the lobby, had some issues checking
in on the computer, the Chase N Rainbows staff was not particularly
helpful at all, but security at the building helped. I was probably
most disappointed in ChasenRainbow staff, during the reservation period they were so helpful, but a couple of calls from the island, not so much. The only issue we had was the refrigerator, it seems to

Management comments: This particular guest had an issue upon check-in with the computer Kiosk in the lobby that is used to register and obtain the parking permit. The computer is owned and maintained by the Mahana AOAO staff, her frustration was that Chase 'N Rainbows was unable to rectify the computer error immediately upon check-in. We do apologize that the guest did have that less than satisfactory experience, but again it was a situation out of our control.

Wow were do I start. Front the time I first contacted chasin rainbows every step of the process was made so easy. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions. I received multiple e mails with everything I needed to know about my rental. The we got to our condo and was so amazed by the quality of the finishes the owner has chosen. It made me feel like I was in a Hgtv home. Everything we could of ever thought to have was already there. The view made us feel like we were on a cruise bout, it was truly amazing. I would recommend this condo to everyone. I am definatly going back to Maui and I will be staying at this same Condo. God bless

To begin, people should know that anything that comes in email from the rental agency "may" go to your spam folder. I made the mistake of not checking constantly and the code to get into the condo went to my spam mail and I did not have it upon check in. The problem was that it was 9:00 pm. on a Sunday evening and Chase N'Rainbows was closed so we had no way into our condo. A security guard took pity on us and tried to contact the emergency number and we were finally allowed in at 11:00 that night. The Mahana desk people were no help at all - they didn't care if we slept in our rental car after traveling 12 hours to get there. The condo is beautifully decorated, the view is spectacular and the location is ideal. The only thing that really needs improvement is the mattress in this place. It felt like it was 20 years old - my husband couldn't even sleep on it the last 3 nights of our stay. The owners definitely need to invest in a new mattress for the price you pay for this condo. That was my only complaint, otherwise a beautiful place.

Stayed 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The place is very clean, modern, wonderful view and a great location. The owners have gone out of there way to open their home to others with a lot of amenities that normally cost extra. We loved the "pay it forward" idea. The location was perfect for traveling activites and walking to nearby resorts. We walked several times to black rock to "jump off the rock", snorkel and enjoy the cliff diving ceremonies. We have nothing but compliments. My only complaint is that I can't vacation here every summer.

This condo is right on the water and is very updated and comfortable. The lanai is extremely private and you can look down and see turtles swimming. The kitchen has everything you need and the bed is extremely comfortable. The pool area is nice but very windy so we didn't spend much time there. The beach in front of the building is kind of narrow, we preferred to drive just a few minutes down the road to a fantastic beach near the Westin. We gave the service an average rating only because these are self-serve facilities, there really wasn't any service to speak of. We would definately return.

This condo is spacious and beautifully decorated! It was like staying in someone's private home, so much better than a cramped hotel room.

We loved this place, everything was so modern, and decorated beautifully. The walls were glass from top to bottom in both rooms, so wherever we were, we had full view of the ocean. The fact that it is on the 10th floor only added to our gorgeous view. It was even stocked with all kinds of drinks, full bar, too bad we don't drink, but it was a nice touch.

When we opened the door of 1008 we felt like we had stepped onto the cover of a magazine! The decor was truly beautiful and we loved the oriental influence of the furnishings. The only complaint we could possibly have would be the too-soft mattress. Otherwise the condo felt like home!

We loved the unit! It was beautiful and what an amazing view of sunset. My husband said, "Don't you wish we lived here?" several times throughout our stay! We had a rocky start with extremely loud music playing from the unit above us but one quick call to Chase 'n rainbows and I never heard another sound! The only downfall is the pool at the Mahana. We solved that problem by going over to the pool next door.. Shhh! don't tell! :)

I was so impressed with this condo ...Im not sure where to begin!! We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and we definitely picked the best place on the island! The view was incredible..from the sound of the waves crashing, sea turtles swimming to the gorgeous pool and beach front lounging!This is a very comfortable condo and is filled with every amenity you will need!This was our first time renting a condo instead of a hotel and we will never go back!Thank you so much for sharing your home with us and making this such a special vacation for us! This was our 7th trip to Maui and the Mahana in the past 7 years but our 1st time booking through Chase 'N Rainbows. The experience was great and we will certainly book through them again. We stayed in 1008 and the condo was lovely: beautifully decorated, including stainless steel appliances, and the most amazing oceanfront view. We love to cook, so we were quite pleased to find a very well-stocked kitchen. We really liked the fact that the bedroom had not just privacy shades but black-out shades, as well, for those mornings when we wanted to sleep in a little later. The lanai was also very nice with a ceiling light and fan, square table and 4 chairs, a chaise lounge, and a table candle...which was really nice (and romantic) in the evenings! The check-in and check-out process was very easy. Bottom line, this was a great experience for us and we would definitely book this unit again.

This building and condo are superbly located on the beautiful coast of West Maui. The management of the condo and reservations was excellent and efficient. The building and condo were perfect. A lovely, relaxed atmosphere that still provided all the amenities (e.g., pool, beach access, ocean front view!) we could have asked for. The grocery store right across the street was also a treat! We would love to come back here as often as we can.

This was our first visit to the hi islands. Upon arrival to The Mahana, my soon-to-be wife and I were very impressed with the appearance of the property. Extremely clean and the front desk was helpful even at 12:15am in the morning (late flight).
As we entered room 1008, our jaws hit the floor. This unit is stunning! We were impressed by the photos of the unit posted on Chasin' Rainbows site and let me tell you, the photos don't lie. My fiance and I got married at Kapalua Bay Beach on the 3rd day of our visit. We then started off our honeymoon by completing the remainder of our stay in 1008. We absolutely loved this condo. The owners have a clean sense of decor. Everything flows, colors-themes-textures (all with an asian theme). Everyone of our wedding guests who saw our room couldn't believe how nice it was. In fact, my wife's hair & make-up lady commented on the room (as she was prepping Naomi for our wedding) by saying that out of all the condos she's been in at the Mahana, this room was the absolute best. It was a nice surprise to find beach chairs and a cooler in one of the closets. Bottom line, our experience on Maui was wonderful and room 1008 definitely made our dream come true. Also, the location of the Mahana is wonderful. Stainless grills by the pool (cleaned every morning) - small private pool with hot tub. We give The Mahana and room 1008 a 10 out of 10. This is a unit we definitely will rent again should we return to the beautiful island of Maui. Note: We spent 7 days on Kaua'i after leaving Maui and we booked a resort to get a feel for that type of vacation. We'll stick with a condo everytime from here on out. It's nice to have the options of making your own breakfast, packing sandwiches & drinks for the beach, etc. Going out to eat is fun, but 3 times per day gets a bit old. The bar was set real high by room #1008 and the resort on Kaua'i fell short. -

Everything about this condo is first class. You feel like you are staying in someone's home, not a vacation rental. Location is perfect, view is exquisite. The owners have thought of everything. If I had any complaint, it would be that the beautiful king size bed is way too soft (but mattress preferences are subjective), and having back problems anyway, I didn't sleep well...but I napped at the beach everyday to make up for it! A firmer mattress would make this condo perfection!

This unit is truely at the top of the list of places to stay when in Maui. Everything you could possibly need or want is there in the condo for you to use, right down to a beach cooler, chairs and boogie board! The view from the lanai was spectacular and included whales, sea turtles, and cruise ships. The sound of the waves crashing on the beach, made for the perfect sleeping atmosphere. This is the perfect place for an amazing stay in Maui.
