We stayed for 5 nights in March and were more than impressed with the standard of accommodation; a luxury condo. Although not ocean front the condo had great sea views, we spent may hours watching the whales. Also beautiful sun sets over Lanai. Although not a negative for us you did not get direct sunlight on the balcony for most of the day - but hey you're right by the beach and pools! Our only recommendation for the owners is to provide a couple of pairs of binoculars please for next time. We booked through Chase "N Rainbows and were equally impressed with the ease of booking and the standard of service.

We were very impressed with our rental experience. The unit was spotless and well decorated. Appliances were all top of the line and the unit was very spacious for a family with 2 teenagers...the 2 king size beds were lovely. The highlight was the view from the balcony and watching the whales.
Property Management company helped us recommend a car rental which saved us money and they helped with a Luau reservation. The coffee maker wasn't working properly and when we phoned the property manager, we had a brand new Cuisinart still in the box within hours...now that is great service! We would definitely stay here again. -

We were so pleased when we walked into our suite! It was bright, spacious, clean and beautiful. We were all so glad that we had a whole week to spend there. The view of the ocean and those wonderful sunsets were what we will remember the most, sitting on our deck with a glass of wine at dusk. With the beach so close, we could spend time walking in the sand or enjoying our morning walk on the boardwalk. And having Dukes Restaurant just minutes away, was a bonus. They are the best!
We will definitely return. -

We recently stayed a week at the Honua Kai (Konea919) for the first time. We usually stay at the Westin Ocean Villas but decided to give this reosrt a try. The overall experience was pretty good, however I wish there was an option for full service (room cleaning, pool towels, etc.) The only service we received was the bellhop service delivering our luggage to our room. Unknowingly the room we rented did not come with mid-week cleaning so that was a let down. Pool towels were extra and the use of the in-room safe was not available to us (what's up with that...) There definitely is a deliniation between resort guests and timeshare renters. It was obvious that the resort guests received the better service. It's definitely more economical renting from a timeshare owner than renting directly from the resort, but I wish the service ammenities were better for timeshare renters... Overall the property and facility is really nice and our family had a great time.

A wonderful location with amenities second to none. My family and I enjoyed our trip to Maui and the stay a Honua Kai made it that much better. 919 is a wonderful unit tastefully decorated and completely stocked with everything required for a wonderful vacation.

The 2 BR condo was not perfect for 2 couples due to the fact that only one of the bedrooms had a bathroom. The second bathroom was down the hall, right next to the master bedroom that contained its own bathroom. Other than that, the condo was comfortable, clean, and well appointed. I liked the 9th floor for it's view of the ocean. Although it was off in the distance, we could still see some whale spouts. The mid-stay sheet/towel replacement was nice. I would have appreciated replacement of soap, shampoo, etc. but with shopping so close, it wasn't a big deal.
Honua Kai is upper end, and that is reflected in the price for the rental. -

My family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers was very comfortable in 919! The view from the lanai is better than the picture! Loved opening the wall of windows between the lanai and the family room to get that outdoors feeling. We also liked the convenient grocery store (about 1/4 mile away) and the convenience to Lahina. We would definitely stay here again!

What a gorgeous property!!! We could not have asked for anything more. The room was beautiful, spacious and the view breathtaking. The staff was wonderful. The location was amazing. It is perfect for those traveling with families. It was truly a vacation of a lifetime!!!

The Unit was not ready when we arrived-but the cleaners were very helpful-since we had food to get into fridge etc-the unit is very nice-but the resort is really set up for families with kids-i would be great if they had a designated "adult pool"-
