This 1 bedroom 2nd floor condo has ocean front views of North Ka'anapali and neighboring islands so spectacular you feel like you're floating above the water. I rented this condo because of the remodeled kitchen. We planned on cooking our meals during our 10 day stay. So, I will start with the kitchen. The pots and pans cost $1 from Goodwill, barely useable. Plates,silverware, glasses, four of each,no useable knifes or cooking utinsils. The refrigerator leaked and did not keep food cold. Ice maker broken. The dryer would not dry, so we cleaned inside lint and also tons of lint behind dryer backed up, huge fire risk. The bedroom was the worst, hard to believe after the kitchen. The bed was not bolted to the wall, so everytime you sat on edge of bed it would fly up in the air. There are four windows and all are broken and rotted out and only one opens. It is the only unit that has not updated the windows. Everyone got sick that slept in the bedroom, because of moldy rotten windows and one person started having dizzy spells. So,I would think again about ever renting this unit. There was no extra bedding,what was on the beds is all you got, no maid service, you would think they would give you extra. Four of each towels and wash cloths. I have stayed in Maui many times and have never written a bad review. This unit was just unbelievably bad.

To the readers out there: Since this guest stay the ice maker and air conditioner have been replaced and the kitchen has been replenished with new pots & pans, silverware and food storage containers. All other maintenance issues have been addressed as well.
Upon arrival all beds are prepared with linens, there are 6 sets of bath towels in each bathroom. The condos in our program do not have daily maid service, but in order to keep costs down for the guests, additional cleaning services are offered on an ala carte basis. This condo does not have a mold issue.
Unfortunately this particular guest chose the day before their departure to express their issues (using inappropriate phone behavior with our staff) with the condo vs a day or two into their stay. Had we been given the opportunity to address these issues we would have done do in a timely and professional manner. -

This unit was clean and comfortable. We walked into the unit for the first time and were stunned by the view of the ocean through the lanai windows. The unit was very clean, but a little more thought could have been put into stocking it. The pots and pans were cheap and scratched up and there wasn't a lid that fit the skillet. There were plastic containers, but only one of them had a lid. There was enough to make due, but several times I thought to myself that I wish I had something in the kitchen that wasn't there. The bed was not all that comfortable, an issue we have noticed with most rentals we have stayed in. It is really hard to return from vacation rested and relaxed if you haven't had a good night sleep the whole time you were gone. Rental owners should really consider investing in decent beds. It would have been nice to have a full tub in the bathroom and the window in the bedroom was ugly and corroded, the only one of that type that I could find in the complex. The others had the windows with slats.
The grounds at Papakea were beautiful and the staff extremely courteous and helpful. All in all we really enjoyed our stay there

Over all a very comfortable place to stay with a great location. The condo was well furnished and clean. we had a problem with the kitchen faucet, reported it and it was fixed right away. The only issue we had was the handicap parking in terms of number of spaces.

We stayed in this condo for 10 days. It was updated nicely. The view amazing! The only 2 things that could be improved are the water temp. in the shower doesn't stay hot long enough to finish washing your hair. Also the blow dryer shut off every 30 seconds. It would also be nice to have BBQ tools.

This condo was a good value considering the high cost of others near by. Sure it has few fancy features and the dinning room light was missing but the whale watching was great. Watching sunsets were the main reason for selecting that part of Maui and the condo provided those.
We also appreciated the starter pack of paper goods and dish soap. Super having those supplies for folks that are only there one week. -

Convenient and well-located right on the beach. A bit small for the price. Lots of amenities within the resort. Wonderful views over to Molokai - bring your binos to watch the whales! Garberator smelled foul when we arrived but was cleaned up easily. Real estate agent was very helpful and clear about the booking. Not enough towels and had to go to the front desk to pick up towels - service?. Every day, rainbows and gorgeous sunsets from the balcony.
