Our stay at aina Nalu was just magificent. The condo is beautifully furnished and fantastically fitted out with everything we could possibly need. With only two of us using a 'wing' each, we felt we were living in absolute luxury and the massive bathrooms complete with lovely aveda products added to the effect.
The condo was clean and tidy and the added bonus of a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer made our three week stay a breeze. Both bedrooms and the living room had flatscreen TVs, although we didn't end up using them as they didn't have Hdmi ports, so couldn't connect to my laptop for watching films we'd brought with us. If you're thinking of doing the same bring a cable for an older tv and you'll be set.
The on-site pools made for the perfect place to hang out after a morning of Maui activities and the wifi both in the room and at the pool areas was great. Front Street is a 5 minute walk away from the condo, so evening strolls for ice cream or pre-dinner drinks were easy. Bbqs at the pool areas made for some great 'dinners out' and the condo and the complex were so nice that we only ate out at restaurants twice in the three weeks we were there.
Parking was easy. We decided not to park on site as you couldn't get a monthly pass for only three weeks and reception at aina Nalu were quite unhelpful (note: Angela is awesome so go directly to her with any questions; avoid contact with aina Nalu reception as they don't like to deal with private rentals). We parked on the street and in 21 days only had one night when we couldn't get a space and had to pay $12 at the parking lot down the street. We arrived on Thanksgiving, so the complex was pretty crowded.
If you've never been to Maui and are tossing up on where to stay I'd recommend aina Nalu at Lahaina as the other towns are either too suburban (Kahului) or too small and sleepy (Kaanapali, Napili, Kihei, Wailea). We're both from London so are urban folks, and in my opinion Lahaina has enough in town to keep you interested and a bit more going on than the resort towns of Kaanapali or Wailea, which would be boring for a full three weeks.
Angela was fantasic from our initial queries prior to booking through to post-stay communication. She bent over backwards to help us out with anything we needed and was always available with advice and helpful tips. Everything was as promised and the owners always available if needed. Angela and Mike were very friendly and very helpful. The pools were very clean and tidy. It is located 2 blocks from the heart of old Lahania , the beach and waterfront. Great access to everything. Four of us, two couples, stayed for 5 weeks and only rented a car for the first and last week to do some touring. The rest of the time buses and walking was all that was needed to totally enjoy this location and its beaches.

We had a wonderful experience in Maui and staying in your condo helped make it a great experience for us. We loved the location because it was walking distance to restaurants and shops. We also loved the fact that we were able to walk outside and there was the pool area and we were also able to book our Luau and Snorkeling activity there as well. We have been to Hawaii several times and this was one of the best places we have stayed at. The Condo units are modern and very clean. Well maintained grounds with 2 pools, a Jacuzzi, and a nice entertaining area by one of the pools (with WiFi). We stayed in unit D210 for 2 days and the other 5 days in unit I209. Both units were comfortable, quiet and clean. We loved the new wireless key entry system - great idea!
We parked on-site for $15 a day but only had 1 rental car between 2 couples. We only used the car a couple of times during the week as everything is within walking distance from this condo.
We had a minor problem that was fixed very quickly by Mike who is the on-site maintenance man. Angela was especially helpful and friendly as was Mike. We were very impressed with angela who was always ready with helpful advice and information.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great condos, great location, and great people to deal with!

We stayed at the aina Nalu in the Ginger building, unit D210 over Christmastime. We truly lucked out in finding this lovely condo complex - it was fantastic value for a renovated condo in the heart of Lahaina. We have two young children - so having the separate bedroom with two single beds was just perfect. When we were in the unit, it was nice to have flatscreen televisions and DVD players in the livingroom and both bedrooms. The ceilings were high and peaked, giving the unit an even more spacious feel, and we occasionally made use of the air conditioning units.
Both bedrooms had quality mattresses and bedding and very spacious closets. The unit had everything we needed for our stay from towels to kitchen utensils and appliances, washer and dryer, to all beach toys and essentials.
One thing I did wish the unit had was a vacuum cleaner. We borrowed one from a friend in another unit.
The complex grounds were well kept and our area was not only quiet but steps from a lovely saltwater pool and jacuzzi. Our kids loved it. We also made use of the entertaining area one night next to the pool. On "pool mornings/afternoons" we always found a nice lounge chair and the guest demographic was low-key and relaxed. Not a crowded place, which was great.
It is worth paying the extra few dollars to park at the complex; it makes for much easier walks into bed at night!
We were only a few minutes' drive from Whaler's Village and the golden beaches of Ka'anapali. It was also very easy to drive south into Kihei and Wailea. Lahaina is a nice central location and we often dined out on Front street if we were too tired to cook after the beach.

The weather is always great. The pools are never crowded and the water is salty so you don't have chlorine on skin and suits.
The condo's are roomy, with all ammenities you might need including washer and dryer.

Aina Nalu impresses you the minute you drive in.
There is a welcoming open-air lobby with a friendly staff to greet you.
The grounds are lush, & relatively private.
Two pools make it very nice to have a choice depending on the location of your unit.
The accommodations are extremely clean, and decorated very nicely.
The units are family friendly, with huge bathrooms.
The area next to the main pool is shaded, and has plush seating, plasma tvs,rest rooms,and even kitchen facilities with dining seating. Very nice for entertaining either just for a couple, or a group.
The location is ideal-- an easy walk to everything!
The harbor is great for surfing, fishing, boat rides, or just to watch the sunsets.
The shops on Front Street are varied and interesting.
The restaurant choices are amazing. Many located oceanside.
This is a wonderful condo with or without children.
We checked out other condos while were there, and we were so glad we chose aina Nalu.
We can't wait for our return visit to Lahaina this December so we can stay there again.

From the first time we contacted these owners until after we returned from vacation - the communication was so impressive. They were helpful and welcoming.The condo was just what they advertised and then some. To provide towels,chairs, etc. for their guests is so considerate. It's an easy walk to beautiful Lahaina, yet away from the noise!
