This is a moderately appointed studio apartment in the academic/classically-styled Lahaina Shores Hotel. The hotel itself is attractively detailed, is well-maintained and staffed, and offers underground parking, and is situated on the southern waterfront of Lahaina. There is easy access to a nice beach directly behind the hotel, and the sunsets are beautiful.
This vacation unit faces the street and offers no ocean view, but has a decent view of south Lahaina and the West Maui mountains. Kitchen and bathroom supplies were well-stocked and the room was clean. There is a single ceiling fan located over the bed, which you will need to keep running if you want to stay cool, and you will also need to keep the lanai doors open, which may expose you to occasional unwanted street/traffic noise.
The best thing about this unit was the great south Lahaina location, which proved to be a perfect base for exploring this entertainment nexus on Maui, with it's impressive collection of quaint/chic/hip galleries, shops, charters, restaurants, and bars, all within walking distance! This review would have been rated a "4" but for the discomfort we experienced sleeping on (or rather enduring) the fold-down bed. If you prefer sleeping on hard surfaces, you will have no trouble but if you have back problems, be warned- this bed is built for durability!

I just returned from my 4th trip to Maui and I've rented this condo each time. Lahaina Shores offers both an oceanfront location and the convenience of being able to walk into Lahainna to take advantage of the excursions taking off from Lahainna marina, shopping and restaurants in Lahaina. The condo is comfortable and the owners seem to continue to make updates on a regular basis so this already great value only continues to get better.

This is the best location in Lahina, everything is in walking distance. A well equiped unit with most everything you need for a pleasant stay.
