I stayed in unit 211 and found it great! It is not ocean front but it is very nice. Plenty of room. Great amenities, and it has been well kept. I really liked sitting on the lanai in the morning and evening and the room was very clean.
My wife and I wanted to get away for our 31st wedding anniversary. This was perfect! Thanks... -

We loved staying at the Whaler (our first time)...our unit couldn't have been nicer - the staff was wonderful -
perfect weather. However, the one issue that we, along with many other non-owners, experienced was the way the
owners saved lounges by the pool. One or more would put a towel on up to 10 to 15 lounges every morning at 8:00am
and the lounges would sit empty - often for more than an hour - complaints were made to management but they either wouldn't or couldn't do anything about this issue. Unfortunately, non-owner renters were not able to enjoy the poolside lounges. One of the Board's rules state "no saving of lounges" but apparently the condo owners aren't required to follow their own rules. Other than this lounge issue, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Whaler. -

The owners of Whaler 211 have done a wonderful job in upgrading their unit and the location is perfect for what we were looking for. Unfortunately, the cleaning service and management company the owners have are taking them for a ride. Livingroom floor was in bad need of shampooing and the bathroom floors and kitchen floor were in need of a good scrubbing. When we entered the unit on Saturday we informed Monte Realtor, and in fact spoke with Mr. Monte. He informed us someone would check into it on Monday. We departed the following Saturday and never heard a word from the management company again. The owners have done their part in upgrading the place, but they really need to switch management companies and cleaning companies. What a difference a clean unit could make.
