Whaler 1102 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath ocean front condominium located on the north side of Tower I. It’s 11th floor location offers an unobstructed northern view from the West Maui Mountains, down to Kaanapali Beach and out to the neighbor island of Molokai. Enjoy full shade in the afternoon from the lanai. Recently updated, the unit has new furnishings, a renovated kitchen, new bathroom cabinets and countertops. King bed in master bedroom, 2 twin beds in second bedroom.

We loved the Whaler...but the only reason we rated it very good instead of excellent was for the check in process, where the man who checked us in treated us like we weren't guests but intruders. We did not receive the courteous words he had for those staying in his hotel portion (we were in condos which are privately owned but had to check in there) or the coupons the others received, and he made us wait as others came in after us. He even took the info out of the regular packet/folder, sans coupons, and handed it to us!

Fabulous comes to mind with this rental. Lots of space, beachfront, beautifully appointed unit in Whalers village condos. Plenty to do right in the heart of Kaanapali beach.

My husband and I normally stay at a resort on Kaanapali but decided to rent a condo for the two of us and my sister with her husband. This turned out to be a wonderful experience. The condo is just beautiful. Being on the 11th floor made the views simply incredible. We saw more whales from the balcony of the condo than we've seen in the last 5 years of vising Maui. The location is fantastic. We were only steps away from shopping at Whalers Village and all the great restaurants there.
Although, my husband and I truly do enjoy all the amenities that a full service resort has to offer, the Whaler has a very nice spa that we took advantage of. The pool is rather small and they could improve this by adding another "adult" pool as the one they have gets crowded and has it's share of kids. I am not a fan of children in the hot tub, and, there were quite a few in there. Our only other concern was the parking. I think if you are going to have a daily charge for parking then there really should be adequate and decent parking for everyone.
But, all in all... this was a great week. As mentioned previously, the location is incredible, the wrap around balcony made for fantastic views and the comfort factor was terrific.
You will love this condo.
