      Mornings and Evenings

Left on 03/29/2013 for a stay in October 2012

Wow! What can I say. The rental has a bit of age to it, but the location and views are worth every penny! We kept the sliding door open at night so we could hear the waves and slept wonderfully! I'd wake up early while the sun came up and we would be sure to be there at sundown to see the incredible sunset!!! There were also rainbows almost every day we were there. There is a local that lives in the building as well that was very helpful in trying to figure out what to do and what not to do. The only thing missing here is a pool, but other than that- I would highly recommend staying here!

Nice, well located condo on the water

Left on 12/20/2012 for a stay in December 2012

We just stayed here last week. The apartment was well furnished and comfortable, we ate every meal outside on the lani and enjoyed watching the waves - no whales or turtles. The kitchen had everything needed, including salt and a little oil. If you do much cooking take your own sharp knives. We were especially delighted to find the Britta water filter since Maui water is chemical tasting. I am one who loves long walks on the beach and that was not possible because is was only the length of the condo. Several days were stormy, with waves too big for swimming and it was compromised by the rocky reef. Waves broke right on the rocks, thus preventing snorkeling. The sound of the waves crashing so close was awesome and soothing to the soul. We appreciated the farmer's market across the street on Monday and Thursday, plus the food service which is half price between 6 and 7 PM. All in all, a nice vacation.

Air freshener turned an ideal setting into a perfect vacation sp

Left on 04/02/2012 for a stay in March 2012

We received excellent reservation services and support when we arrived on Maui. All instructions and directions were useful. The unit was visibly clean but smelled very bad, especially in the bedroom closet and near the rusted heater/fan in the living room. We were able to air out the unit whenever we were there.

The view from the unit was lovely. The grassy area and beach were fabulous, indoor and outdoor furnishings were great, and neighbors were very friendly. The Pikake caretakers, John and Vi, were also friendly and helpful. We appreciated the Maui Lodging notebook with activity and restaurant recommendations.

The best feature of the property is the location. The least appealing feature is the indoor smell.

Mahalo for the heads up on the odor. We have had the carpets cleaned and also clean up the fan and closert area. The problem has been resolved. I spent a half day in the unit with the door shut and the odor never returned. The condo has alway been a favorite for return guest and we've never had this complaint before. Mahalo for bring this to our attention.
