Situated on the golden expanse of Ka'anapli Beach this resort has easy access to snorkeling, whale watching in-season and nearby shopping. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Honua Kai. The suite was stunning and spacious with all the amenities of home. Situated on the private side of the building, we enjoyed the ocean views and sunsets from the beautiful, tranquil, lanai. An added bonus was the beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, snorkel gear and cooler - even the kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials.
The grounds were lovely and every morning we walked the beach walk to the Whaler's Village then back to Duke's for happy hour.
Jill was so friendly, accommodating and helpful with lots of advice on the resort and nearby restaurants/sights. She was always a phone call or text away.
Overall, it was a beautiful and relaxing vacation and we are hoping to stay in Jill and Terry's suite when we go back this summer.
Thanks for making our stay a beautiful and memorable one!

The description and photos of this rental unit and resort amenities are extremely accurate. Exceptionally clean and very well maintained, this property exceeded our expectations. We never tired of early morning coffees and watching the beautiful sunset in the evening from the lanai. Close to Dukes and Whaler's Village, there was never a shortage of good resteraunts and with the beach as our front yard, we enjoyed countless walks.
The owners, Jill and Terry are wonderful to work with and replied quickly to all e-mails -answering all questions very thoroughly. I recommend this property to others and I hope to return sometime soon -

We had a wonderful time at this resort. The condo unit was in pristine condition, and extremely well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The location of this unit was very quiet with great access to the outdoor barbeque area and pools. During our stay we experienced high winds, but the location allowed us to fully open the sliding glass doors and enjoy the lanai without being affected by the wind or its noise. It was also nice to be on the shady side of the building as it provided us with much needed cover from the hot Maui sun. The resort grounds and pools were stunning, and the location provided us with excellent access to some of Maui's best snorkeling and tourist activities. We used the fitness room daily. Although it was a little on the small side, it provided me with all of the exercise equipment I normally use. I also appreciated the high end caliber of the equipment, and the cleanliness of this facility. The maître d' service at the resort was very informative and helpful when it came to planning our activities and booking excursions. We used this service to book all of our excursions during our stay and were not disappointed in any of the outings they recommended. There is also an activities shack by the pool where outings such as scuba diving, dinner cruises, whale watching and paddle surfing can also be booked. There is definitely no shortage of things to do in Maui and should you be stumped for an activity, the resort staff is readily available to help you out. The owners of the unit were very friendly and easy to deal with. They went out of their way to connect personally with us, and made themselves available to answer any questions we had. Any concern we had was immediately addressed. This is without a doubt a very high end unit and resort. I would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to the island looking for a 5 star vacation!

This condo is beautiful. Felt like home but even nicer! Everything was clean, there were actually condiments in the frig, boogie boards waiting, a couple nice beach chairs, snorkeling gear . . . way more equipped than what some of our friends rented at the same condo through a company! Would definitely go back!!!

As a family of four with two young children (aged 6 and 3), the unit, and location were perfect! There we tons of beach toys for the kids, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, and much more. The kitchen was very well equipped and the in-suite laundry was a life saver! The view from the balcony was better that in the photos, and very quiet! It was easy to get around the island from this location and enjoyed the shopping centre with full grocery store across the street. Next time we'll skip Costco and just shop there. The rooms seemed much more spacious than in the photos, so that was a lovely surprise! The resort grounds were amazing, the many pools kept our kids busy for ages! It was great to rent from Jill and Terry, very quick and attentive communication, will be renting from them again, and recommending their units to our friends!

Our family of four rented this fabulous Konea Tower, one bedroom condo unit 248, directly from the owners, Terry and Jill. This was our first experience in Maui and Terry and Jill were quick to respond to all inquires, and the rental of the unit was an easy and pleasant transaction. The condo was exactly as pictured on the site and certainly met all of our expectations. It had everything needed both for comfort and convenience, including beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel equipment, cooler and beach toys. The resort grounds are clean and immaculate, the beach is pristine in front of the resort (can even snorkel off shore and saw many sea turtles and fish) while the kids enjoyed the large pools. The resort puts you in a perfect location to drive up to Haleakal? National Park or drive to Lahaina for dinner or to go shopping. There is a grocery store and a few restaurants across from the resort and Dukes is on site. We had a wonderful vacation in Maui and wouldn't hesitate to come back and rent this condo again.

My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids aged 4 & 7) spent an extraordinary week living in this beautiful unit. It was our first visit to Honua Kai (having stayed at the neighboring Westin Ocean Villas North previously) and it was a phenomenal choice for a family with kids. The highlight for the kids, of course, were the fantastic pools and Waterslide and the lovely Kaanapali beach. There is some great snorkeling right from the beach here, and the surf is never very rough for sandplay and kids' boogie boarding. My wife and I really appreciated the super spacious room (bigger in person than in photos), filled with plenty of comfortable and full-sized furniture. My kids slept on the pull-out sofa, which was Queen sized and plenty big enough for both of them (and all the linens were super clean and comfy throughout). The resort was full (mid-August), but our unit was very quiet and serene. Occasionally, we would hear people in the unit above us moving the chairs on their lanai, but that was the only muffled sounds we heard all week. The lanai is gorgeous, spacious with a table that can easily accommodate six people. This unit is much closer to the ocean that I had thought. Jill & Terry were great to rent from -- wonderful communicators throughout the rental process. Answered all my questions and I was able to contact them immediately via e-mail and telephone. I did a lot of research and found them to have priced this unit very competitively -- much cheaper than going the hotel, for sure and better priced than 90% of the other units we looked into. The other 10% were in areas of the property that we wouldn't have chosen (in the other tower, which is adjacent to a construction project). We got an incredible deal and would like to repeat with Konea 248 often!!

Our family stayed 11 nights in this amazing condo. This was our first time in Hawaii and it was awesome! The condo far outweighed our expectations. It was very spacious, even for our family of 4. We loved how the doors opened up to the lanai. We ate breakfast every morning on the lanai to a nice breeze and a partial view of the ocean. Jill and Terry were so thoughtful and made us feel like their home was our home. The book about the condo that Jill made was so helpful, we used it anytime a question came up about how to use something in the condo. Thanks Jill, the book was a lifesaver! Our kids loved the boogie boards that were in the room, we used them everytime we went to the beach. Since we cooked alot in the condo, we really enjoyed using the top notch bosch appliances. The grounds of the resort were spectacular. The flowers were beautiful, the fish were fun to feed each morning, and the pools and waterslides kept our kids and their friends busy for hours. Also, we loved how quiet and relaxing the unit and the resort both were. All in all, it was the best resort experience we could have asked for. We highly recommend this unit if you are planning on visiting West Maui.

We had a fabulous time. The suite was gorgeous. It had everything we needed. I was thrilled to check in and find it so clean. Everything was like new and perfect. The owners had so many extras that made a huge difference. Laundry soap, dish soap, lawn chairs, beach toys, boogie boards, snorkel gear with flippers, free internet, DVD player, free long distance calls to us/Canada and so much more. We were able to truly kick back and relax on this vacation.
It was so wonderful to have Dukes Restaurant right on the property for those nights that you want to go out for dinner. They have great food and are right along the beach.
There is a market on the property that has a great selection of grocery items, gift ideas, snacks and some of the best coffee we had on the island.
