This newly remodeled 2nd floor condo has outstanding ocean views toward the neighbor islands of Lanai and Molokai. Kulakane is a charming and small direct ocean front 3 story property just minutes from Lahaina, Kaanapali, and Kapalua. There are only 42 units in this nicely landscaped resort. Lots of deck space around the pool for sunning or lounging. Watch whales, dolphins and turtles (seasonal) from the living area. Nicely decorated, very fresh and clean. High definition LCD TV's. We did a lot of research trying to find a place that was nice, affordable for us, and convenient to the places that we wanted to be. It's hard sometimes to pick places sight unseen...we've done that before and been disappointed and this is why we did so much research. We were fortunate enough to find Kulakane. It was such a great place that I am relunctant to let my secret out! The owner was excellent to work with. It is an older facility, but it is very well maintained. The grounds were kept so clean and the people who ran the place were so nice. Our condo was very well stocked with supplies for cooking and supplies that we could use at the beach. When we arrived, we realized the fridge was not working. They very quickly got someone in there, replaced it, and it really wasn't a big deal. The view was fantastic as it was right on the ocean. The condo itself was clean (cleanliness is a huge issue for me) and the king size bed was comfortable. Our kids slept in the living room on the couch and on the blow up bed that was provided. It's not a huge condo by any means, but the layout works. It has a nice walk in closet in the bedroom where you can keep your stuff out of the way. You can literally open up the sliding glass doors to the patio and hear the crash of the waves on the sea wall. It was nice to eat out on the patio and watch the ocean. We enjoy snorkeling and right in front of the hotel is an excellent place to do so. It's also so close to our favorite places for shopping and our favorite beaches. I would highly recommend Kulakane to people who are like us...looking for a great value, without sacrificing the view!
