The carpet was filthy, big spots on the floor in the living room. Reported it to the office and she acted like she knew that they didn't have time to clean it. The curtain in the room with twin beds was ripping at the bottom, it needs to be replaced with a room darkening curtain as the light on the walk way lights up the room at night. We stayed at this location 4 years ago and there was a beach in front, since then the beach has eroded away. Extremely disappointing.

Thank you so much for your response. I wanted to let you know that the carpet was already scheduled to be cleaned the day you checked out. It was taken care of, and the drapes in the walkway bedroom have also been replaced. We really do hope that you will join us again.

Unit 602A is out dated. The carpet was very dirty. The decor was not "resort" standard. We even had to buy our own garbage bags and toilet paper. I would stay at Hololani again, but in a different unit.

We have been coming to the Hololani in January for many years and have always thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The weather has generally been great and the people very friendly. We look forward to returning each year and regret having to return home.

We've stayed @ Hololani since late 90's & it continues to be a well-kept-up property. Only one concern are the rather unstable beach access stairs. New handrails & lower rise steps would really contribute to safety.
Appearance of the grounds & pool area is lovely.

This was our first trip to Maui and our stay @ Hololani was everything we expected. The unit was spacious and in great shape. The lanai was fantastic and being so near the water was great. Marcia in the office was also super helpful. Thanks!

We are satisfied with out stay at A602 Hololani but found following improvements be made for an even better experience.
1. It appears there are some kind of bugs (may be bed bugs) in the kids bed room because on both nights they slept in that room, they woke up with red bite marks on them. Or may they are something else other than bed bugs?
2. The water pressure in the showers were low.
3. The door frame on the main door was sooo rusty and holes on it.
Other than the above, our stay was very very pleasant and we loved every minute of it. The view was awesome from our unit and the moment we opened the door on the first day...we all went WOW by looking at the view of the ocean and the two islands. -

We have known Hololani for more than 20 years and cannot stay away. The ambiance and views are as fantastic as ever. The diving at "Airport" beach, Kaanapali, and at Kapalua still beckons, and I am now 65! And thank you, Marcia, for the Aloha spirit you radiate.

Beautiful ocean view with a nice quiet sandy beach in front. Great location - close by great restaurants, take-out spot and grocery store. No air-conditioning or heat in unit and do not need it! That is how perfect the temperature was! (Yes there is no thermostat!)
Unit was beautifully furnished with everything you need. Definitely would rent this unit again! -

My husband turned 75 and my son and his wife had their 5th wedding anniversary on the same week we were in Maui. This beautiful oceanfront condo was such a treat for all of us. The view was awesome from the 6th floor.
We had our 2 year old grandson with us and it was disappointing that the condo did not have a children's pool. The tide goes too close to the condo reef for children to play in the sand.
Over-all, we did enjoy our stay at the Holalani resort. Except for the sky high prices of everything everywhere in Maui, we wish we could have stayed longer.
I think we got ripped off by the Dollar-A Rent Co.($467.+ for a van for 6 days) for not explaining in details what they were charging us. -

Nice Condo for 4 or less people. It can hold up to 6 but that is tight for sure. Cool breezes this far North on the island but NO Air Conditioning is probably the only drawback. Its on the Ocean and very close to the main highway so its easy to get to. Great View of Lanai and Molokai.

Our family of four enjoyed a wonderful week together in this ocean front property. The view is fantastic from the living room, master bedroom and lanai. The one thing I would change is how the buildings are situated (impossible at this point!). You can see the lanais and into the units of the opposite building (there is an A and B building). It doesn't block the view, just does not add to a sense of privacy, also can be quite noisy depending on who is out on their lanai or in the pool. The managers are very helpful and good to work with. It is a nice family location.

Over the years my wife and I have looked forward to returning to Maui and to make the Hololani our home away from home. The units have always been well maintained and are very pleasant. Marcia McRae has been a gem. It has been gratifying to see the improvements made over the years to the buildings and grounds. We would highly recommend the Hololani to anyone desiring to rent a condo while vacationing in Maui.

Awesome location to the best beaches. Nice relaxing pool, super maintained. And if you get tired of the sun, go on the front lawn and lay under the awesome trees. (i would recommend a hammock!) great place for the family. we enjoyed our stay. thanks!!
