Its been 2 days home and we yearn for the beautiful serenade of the ocean waves. The condo is very nicely decorated and the floor plan is perfect for two couples allowing for privacy as well as wonderful views from both bedrooms. Great Balcony living area to watch whales, sea turtles and windsurfers. Don't forget your Binoculars or zoom camera! Save on a rental car the building has a great location with bus stop in front of building to take you to Market and Whalers Village (transfer required for Old town Lahaina). Short walk to several sandy beaches.

Everything was great with our stay. Website is a little deceiving showing a beach area in front, but beach was close by and the turtles were a bonus!

We felt that the hot water system should of been fix sometime in the 5 weeks we rented . Taking luke warm showers wasn't pleasent. We realy enjoy Unit A304 and would recommend that a review of the supplies of silverwear and dishes. Also If there is a way we can pay and upgrade the TV channels so we can watch the other sports channels during our stay it would be nice. The Hansens

This was our third time staying at the Hololani Resort. The resort is always clean, well maintained and very friendly. The only issue we had was access to the beach, time and water have caused the stairs to be unstable. I know the resort is addressing this problem, but getting to the beach was made difficult with this issue.

We rented three rooms for our family and while there was a variation in quality based on how recently they had been remodeled, all were very comfortable and all had great views. My only suggestion would be umbrellas around the pool to provide some shade for reading and relaxing.

Lovely rental with a beautiful view. Master bedroom had a very nice view but could use a newer mattress-this one was a little thin and hard. Otherwise everything else was great.

We have stayed at Hololani many times. Always go back because we have not found a better deal for what you get anywhere else. Can't beat the location and the rate for a 2 bed 2 bath oceanfront condo. On this last visit we even saw several turtles swim by from our lanai! Perfect location. The only thing that would make Hololani better would be a hot tub.

My wife and I just returned from a wonderful 10 day stay in unit A304 at the Hololani condos on Maui. We traveled with another couple and the Hololani made a great home base to explore the island. Situated beachfront in the community of Kahana it is just a few minutes from snorkeling at the marine preserve at Honolua Bay or the historic sites, restaurants, and shopping in Lahina. We snorkeled along the reef in front of the condo and saw a variety of tropical fish, including Moorish Idols; one of my favorites. There are stores and great restaurants nearby in Kahana, Napili, and Kapalua; many in walking distance. Quick access to the main highway made trips to the other beaches easy. However, you may not want to leave the condo if the humpback whales are around (December through March). We spent some time each day whale watching from the balcony. The islands of Molokai and Lani set the backdrop for watching newborn whales and their mothers frolic in the ocean. Bring binoculars for a close-up view of these majestic mammals. We also saw sea turtles in the surf and one morning a monk seal swam along the shoreline. The sunsets were spectacular. Binoculars are about all you need to bring as the unit is well furnished. Whether it was beach towels and a soft-sided cooler for picnics or cookware for dining in, if we needed it, this unit seemed to have it. A side note: for renting snorkel gear I recommend Snorkel Bob’s; the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and they didn’t push timeshares or excursions. The company’s CEO, Snorkel Bob, himself, is dedicated to preserving the world’s reefs and the community of sea life that inhabits them.

We have been guests of Hololani for over 15 yrs sometimes 2-3 x's a year. We have noticed with changes in staff over the years that the quality of care has changed. Marcia (as well as her predecessor) has remained constant in providing excellent guess services. Our unit was clean and comfortable as always but we were disappointed with the pool area. We understand maintenance providers for Hololani change periodically but the standards should not suffer. During our recent visit we noticed residual dirt and cobwebs on the lawn chairs as well as a ring of dirt in the pool. Care in this area was not to our liking. Attention to this matter would be appreciated. That said, we still love the Hololani and will come again.

We enjoy the unit very much.We also find that Marcia is very helpful in seeing everything is to our liking. Glad the elevator was redone, however the floor cover cauld be improved. Look forward to returning net year.

The condo had been updated, and was very clean and comfortable, with a great view. Elevator access was excellent at the Hololani compared to other properties on Kahana Beach, and parking was easy in a designated spot. My wife and I enjoyed our swims at Kahana and saw many turtles.

One of the best parts about this property is Marcia. She is both knowledgable and freindly. Our unit was comfortable and we really liked that it had a sectional sofa. It is obvious the unit has been updated at some point and was nicely done. The television is old and needs replacement as well as the mattresses in both bedrooms. Other than that everything was very nice and we had a wonderful time. The kitchen is very well equipped which is also a real plus. The only thing we found the property to be lacking was a spa. It would have been nice to have the option to use a spa, especially on windy evenings. Although, the pool was heated which was also nice. This was our first stay in Kahana and we were not expecting it to be quite as windy as it was. I am not sure whether the wind we had was normal or out of the ordinary. If it was normal, we may choose to stay closer to LaHaina next year where it is less windy. Again - Marcia is wonderful and the unit was very nice.

We have been visiting Hololani several times a year for the past 14-15 years. With the exception of one, we have always enjoyed delightful stays. Marcia is an excellent property manager. We LOVE Marcia. The grounds are picture perfect. The sounds of the ocean waves crashing is soothing and lalls us into deep restful nights of sleep. Whale season is the best. Location allows us to experience all the delicious foods of the island. We love that it is so close to Roy's of Kahana... we can walk there eat, drink (lots) and walk home .. can't say enough good things about staying at the Hololani.

I've stayed at many other condominiums in the past and have always found a stock of condiments aviailable in the kitchen. When something runs out we replace it for ourselves and the remainder stays for the next persons use. There were no such items in this condo and even though the kitchen was clean and stocked with new utencils, it should also have a cabinet with various spices and condiments. Also because this is a beach condo, having beach supplies available for use would have been nice such as beach chairs, mats, umbrellas, etc. This unit should also have a hard line to hook up high speed internet, not just wireless. The tv is very basic and should be updated with a larger flat screen that meets todays' standards. Overall we enjoyed this condo and have stayed here in the past and will stay again the next time in Maui. Thanks for your hospitality.

What a beautiful unit!!! Wouldn't want to stay in any other. The views of the sunsets were exactly what I had hoped for and all the sightings of the whales was worth every penny. The unit is very well stocked with all you could need and a great place to relax after a day of events. Would recommend this unit to everyone and still can't stop talking about it!

We enjoyed our stay. I would only have one comment for you to consider. We have friends that booked a stay with you, later cancelled and forfeited their deposit, and later yet tried to book another reservation. This was all for the same winter season, but the dates were different. He inquired as to some application of some of their lost deposit to their new reservation, and were denied. They did visit our unit while we were here and were very impressed. I think in these times you probably could have been a little more flexible with the deposit, even though it was against your policy, and you would have gained a long term customer(27 visits to your state in the last 20 years). A small adjustment would have shown some flexibility. As it stands, they will not consider your property on future visits-they feel that a little give and take would have shown some flexibility and exhibited some value to them as customers.
