The Garuda estate was as perfect in reality as we saw on the internet. The view and amenities were excellent. The house was warm and welcoming with room for our entire family. After a long trip, Tim\'s greeting and tour of the villa was very helpful and was greatly appreciated as was his help in answering the occasional questions we had. Garuda house is incredible! The view was unbelievable as was the pool and the landscaping all around us. We were so impressed with the home amenities and comfort. We were only able to stay in this home because our reserved home sold, and now we are so grateful that it did !! This was a bit above our budget, but would love to beable to enjoy another vacation here. Every thing was just wonderful!!! Our overall stay was amazing and we couldn\'t have asked for more. But there are a few things I wanted to mention - I gave a 1 in regards to the property manager because we never met him. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Dan Luchs, who was great and provided us with useful information. We were told the property manager, Michael Hudson, would stop by mid-week to pick up the garbage which he never did. This was a little disappointing because by the end of our stay the garbage was overflowing, which to me is unacceptable. He never even checked in with us. The cleanness of the villa upon our arrival certainly could have been better. There were things in plan site that the cleaning crew should have taken care of (finger marks on windows/wine refrigerator, refrigerator was dirty, there were spill marks on the floors.) On another note, both Levi Hoffman and Lucille MacDonald were a pleasure to work with. They are true professionals and helped make our trip a memorable one!Many thank - Carey M., New Jersey, USA

We absolutely loved this house. The house has everything one could ask for. The views were amazing. Hawaii has so much to offer but we found ourselves not wanting to leave the home. We spent the first two nights of our stay in Hawaii at the Hyatt Regency, which was beautiful as well however what it did not offer was the privacy and the peacefulness of the house. Waking up in the morning looking at the ocean from bed, watching the sunsets, hanging at the pool, cooking on the grill, eating dinner outside - all of it - we can\'t say enough! It was awesome. Tremendous accommodations, excellent location, priceless view of the ocean make this Estate an excellent choice for enjoying Maui. The gardens, fruit tree\'s, and beautiful landscaping on this 2 acre\'s of land make the overall experience tough to match. The open air feel to the house along with fantastic pool, hot tub, and grill area created many great memories and the sunsets were unforgettable. Tim, the property manager, provided an informative and useful orientation and the landscapers, pool cleaners, house cleaners were very professional and unobtrusive to our visit. We so enjoyed the house,it was truly beautiful and we sat and tried to take everything in as the view was so amazing... The house was everything and more than we expected,we truly enjoyed our time and did not want to leave. We felt very comfortable and we never worried about where we were,very safe!!! The house was well equipped and it had all we needed,it was hard to leave the house and go out and do things as we so enjoyed all our moments in the house...The towels had a bit of a mildewy smell and it took a few washes to get them to smell clean.The mid stay housekeeping was not up to par as they did not change the sheets and I really do not know what they did clean??? Our stay at this house was so great and all of us in the party so loved it....Tim was great..He gave us so much info and was very helpful with our questions...Lucille helped so much and I appreciated all she did for our trip.Ian was also very helpful and he was a pleasure to work with. Beautiful home in a beautiful environment. Privacy was essential to be able to relax. Loved the feeling of being remote and still having easy access to what the nearby towns offered. Garuda Estate is a great vacation villa for several couples or a family. The accommodations are wonderful and the villa has so much to offer. The grounds are impeccably maintained, and the interior of the villa is very comfortable with every possible amenity available. One feels at home quickly but the place continues to impress you until you leave. Home was clean and spacious, nice furnishing and well equipped kitchen. The pool was refreshing and slightly chilly as we chose not to heat it. Stayed here with a family group of 9 people during Christmas week of 2012. If you are considering this property, I definitely recommend it. The home is lovely and the view from the west-facing patio and pool is amazing -- I literally cannot imagine a better view. Luxury Retreats, the rental company we booked through, was very professional. We appreciated the fact that after arriving and personally being shown around the property, we were left to enjoy our week in paradise without interuption. If we had wanted or needed anything for the home or relating to island activities, they were only a phone call away. The location of this home is just a few minutes south of Lahaina, and centrally located among the various activies and beaches of West Maui. The only (slight) hiccup we had was that the house only has three bathrooms (two ensuite, the third by the front entrance that is split with sink/toilet and sink/shower in two separate rooms.) If you are utilizing all four bedrooms, this may become somewhat of a problem. We worked around it by sharing the ensuite bathrooms since we were all family. For future consideration, there is construction occuring on a new home immediately adjacent to this property (west). We had to listen to roofing noise one day, but thankfully the construction was at a stand still for the remaining days of our stay.

We stayed for 9 days at Garuda Estate and it was amazing.The house is beautiful and has everything that a family needs.We so enjoyed the pool and hot tub and spent many hours by the pool enjoying the Hawaiian sunshine. We used Luxury Retreats to book the house and it was our 3rd time to rent with them and they were so great to work with.

We went on many activities, heliocopter, zodiac, zip-line, also spent alot of time at the beaches, jumped off Black\'s Rock, but it was always such a pleasure to come home. Then, it was non-stop swimming pool. We consider ourselves to be very fortunate to spend our time together {with such wonderful people} at such a luxurious home. We also had nightly entertainment by our granddaughters after they were inspired by watching the show at Whaler\'s Village. We even had a ride on the Sugar Cane Train with our youngest one. Bill and I took care of the kids so our daughters and their husbands could have \"date night\", on the best sunset night. Memories galore, Thank you for a wondreful trip.

We particularly enjoyed the setting and the privacy. We found the house very clean and the decor was warm and inviting...what one would anticipate if it was our own house. I found the on site manager very warm, friendly and exceptionally helpful in knowing the surrounding area well and guiding us accordingly. He was always prompt and courteous. It proved to be one of those rare situations where the delivery actually exceeded our expectations...well done!

Our stay at Garuda Estate the week after Christmas, 2010, was a slice of Hawaiian paradise. The home was inviting, comfortable, well-appointed, and had spectacular views of the Pacific. The grounds were immaculate and well maintained. The pool was delightful and the home had excellent closed facilities.\n\nThere is very little to say that is negative about Garuda. Although the home is no longer brand new, it has been kept in excellent repair.\n\nMaui has so much to offer, there is certainly not enough time to take but a small piece of the island in during a one week stay. Tim Ellis made our stay even more rewarding. He picked up three boys at the airport, and drove them back on their departure. He rescued our evening with a chef by scrambling to obtain an extra grill when the gas on Maui was disrupted. His suggestions about things to do were very helpful.\n\nThe visit was made that much easier by the assistance of Levi Hoffman in securing the property and Marianne Casey\'s assis

Both my brother and I had been to Maui many times in the past, and we love the island...paradise. The others had never been and they were in awe with the islands beauty. Our home away from home made the experience a 10! Garuda is stunning and we were thrilled to have the house for a week, just wish it had been longer.

We had a glorious time at the Garuda Estate in Maui. To begin with, we originally rented the Guest Villa down the hill, but when construction for a new pool was delayed due to permitting, the owner graciously upgraded us to the larger mansion up the hill at no extra charge. We couldn\'t believe it! We feel so much gratitude, especially since the occasion was our honeymoon. Our time at the estate created a memory to last a lifetime. It is distinguished without being stuffy, elegant and luxurious without being fussy. We loved the vibe of the place, the decor, the layout, the amazing view, the comfortable bedding - everything was exquisite yet relaxing and serene. The place far exceeded our expectations (and that is hard to do given the impressive photos!) 5-Star Luxury in the comfort of beautifully appointed home.

The only problem we had was with the heated pool. It really never got warm enough except for 1 or 2 days. We couldn't even use it for 3 days, because heater was not working. All of Luxury Retreat's specialists were extremely nice & very helpful. It was a wonderful experience. I would book with them again, and I have also recommended them to my friends.
