It's no shoes required at this beachfront home in Lahaina, where the sand is just a stroll through your backyard and the town a short walk up the beach. Maui Magic is casual island elegance at its best.

Maui Magic is built over 2 levels, with the entire upper floor dedicated as an oversized master suite loft with a private office. The suite opens mezzanine-style in places, looking over the great room, and allows floor to ceiling glass walls to provide soaring views of the ocean right outside. The second bedroom with private bathroom(in the main house) and third bedroom (in separate cottage) with en-suite bathroom both feature tumbled ma...rble floors, exotic carved Balinese antiques and Hawaiian art. Exotic wood detailing and an Asian feel continuous throughout the home.

Hardwood floors and wall-to-wall glass in the great room, dining room and sunken living room create an indoor-outdoor tropical living experience that's common in Maui. Even the state-of-the-art granite kitchen has an outdoor twin, great for easy alfresco brunches and sunset barbeques under the thatched pool bar. The pool itself has an infinity edge that falls into the Pacific just beyond, where there's great swimming and surfing along a meandering shallow coastline.

  Great House but not without hickups.

  We have rented many vacation homes and the outdoor setiing here was great. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not working properly when we arrived but was tended to the next day. However, this meant that while my wife and her freind were getting in house massages workers were walking by them. When it rained the water came pouring in the living room throught the patio door and in the upstairs bedroom entrance to the balcony. The owners property manager could not have been nicer and was very responsive. We requested that Luxury Retreats have a few groceries purchased due to a long flight and late arrival so we would not have to go out late and havefood for breakfast. The list included a dozen eggs that were not purchased so we had to find a grocery that stayed open late. I would not use this service again. As is often the case, the TV\'s were complecated to use and the person showing the home did not give complete instructions but the property manager was able to explain the next day. - Gary C., ,

  Location wise it was perfect. Far enough away from town, but close enough to walk to town either by beach or on the road. The outdoor kitchen was great for dining outside and it was so nice having a frig out there as well, so you didn\'t have to keep going inside.   Maui Magic is a wonderful place if you enjoy the beach, pool and being close to the city center of Lahaina. We spent all of our time outside and thoroughly enjoyed it. This villa is really for a group of 4 people max. With the master bedroom as an open loft bedroom, it leaves little room for privacy. The seperate outside 3rd bedroom really helped a lot. Because we loved the location and the pool/spa, the open layout of the master bedroom was a minor irratation. With all that said, I still think Maui Magic is an incredible value for what you get! - Mary S., Washington, USA

  This was my first time in Maui and renting a house to stay in. I did look online and that is how I came across Luxury Reteats. I was pleased to see they were a Canadian Company and once checking them out was very pleased with how pleasent and helpful Patrick and Kelly. I was a travel agent for 11 years so know what it takes for the personal touch and I certainty felt special!! All questions were answered quickly and Kelly was very helpful when I was selecting things to do. Everything turned out fabulously and the quality time I had with my dear friends is something I will always remember. I have no problem recommending your company, matter of fact, my nephew is also using your services for his honeymoon and I told him he will be very happy with Tim looking after things on site. Maui is a beautiful Island and the fact we could walk to almost everything was a bonus. All events we did, booked through you, worked out great. Thanks for the memmories, we will smile every time we remember!,

Loved the glass and the appliances and kitchen equipped well.\nI confess to being surprised and disappointed that 3rd bedroom was in a guest house.my mistake for not reading your web site properly.\nHouse getting a little \"worn\",door knob to lanai came off many times.TV cable stopped working.DVD player did not like our DVD`s.\nGuest house AC was portable noisy units we were asked to empty every 5 hours!\nGas BBQ would not have grilled a piece of toast so forced to use charcoal grill.\n

  This property has a good location near Lahaina, it\'s beach location and pool which were the key features on which I made this selection. With an outdoor kitchen and dining area we expected to eat many meals at the house. Propane tanks for the grill were empty and the gas grill was very difficult to light so we had to use the charcoal grill. The pool was nice but was not clean when we arrived and the property manager told me the pool service was to come the next day. They never did show up. The AC system in the guest cottage was not working properly so we had to have portable AC units brought in. These had to be emptied of condensation every 5 hours.

  Great pool and very active beach; it was like an ever-changing picture. The beach bungalow was very Hawaiian and worked just fine for both my sister and myself. It was convenient to town; just a short walk. The house had very loud cracks and groans during the night, which actually woke both of us on several occasions. I mentioned it to Mike Hudson after the first night. I actually thought it was the french door upstairs which became open; guess I didn\'t lock it securely, but the loud creaks& house cracks continued each night. Something someone should look at. We wondered if the weight room might have a load issue as Diane saw cracks in her ceiling bedroom which was directly under the weight room.

  Whilst we had a fantastic time overall in Maui we did feel that the house did fall short of our expectations from how it is percieved through the pictures on the web site. The Master does not show that the bedroom is also used as the owners artist studio which takes away the sense of opulance you feel in the morning when your greeted by the view of the palms swaying and the ocean. The master would benifit from being fitted out with more furniture of high quality when guests have rented. The issue with the technial equipment was purely that after trying to get the outside music system working through an i pod with no success, the whole tv centre needed to be reset by the ground agent so we could have a quick check on the news etc. The only other concern is Ants. We were very concious of keeping clean and tidy but it did not stop invasions in the kitchen, they were also present upstairs in the master bedroom and bathroom which can mean they are never far away from your thoughts.
