Ottawa, CanadaVery clean, very nice .. cottage
Left on 04/02/2013 for a stay in February 2013
This is a very clean, perfectly located cottage. If your looking for a home with all new bells & whistles this might not be the one but if your looking for a great location with paradise out the back door then this is it.
The home is an older cottage that has everything you need to be comfortable. Bedroom TV was not working, sent a email and had a new one a day later.
Grounds keeper was there every second day ensuring everything was good.
What makes this home so wonderful is the location .. on one side you have a small town to walk to and on the other is the Pacific Ocean with great swimming and a wonderful sand beach. -

Like staying at a relative's place. Lots of things (everyday consumables and beach accessories) already there (good if you are coming from australia). Absolute beachfront and nice sandy beach. Saw green turtles from the beach. Close to many attractions. Shops just down the road.

Excellent stay at this home! We stayed for 8 nights mid October. Everything is well thought out as far as amenities with this rental. The house was clean and more than met all of our needs. The back yard/porch are beautiful and the beach right out your backdoor could not be any better. We had a small problem with the TV not working, but the owner immediately replaced it. (excellent communication) The house is set back from the street just a bit more than the rest of the houses in the area, so you mostly only hear the sound of the waves at night. Boogie boards, beach towels, snorkeling equip all provided are a huge plus! Don't over pack, the house has washer/dryer with laundry soap, very convenient. The location is great, groceries directly across the street and a few places to eat. Very close 3-4 minutes from P.C.C. and about 10-15 minutes from Turtle Bay. Turtle Bay has many activities, great beginning snorkeling, horseback rides, helicopter tour. The beach in front of the house is a bit rocky so if you want to boogie board, you need to move down the beach a little and find a more sandy spot. We saw lots of sea turtles in the evening and one of the neighbors brought us some huge avocados! This side of the island is much more relaxed, and everyone was very friendly. No chain restaurants, so be prepared to try something new. Papa Oles has excellent ribs! Be sure to try the pineapples from the side of the road, excellent pineapple and lots of cool geckos at the stands for the kids to see! We would't hesitate to rent this home again.

TexasWonderful Beach!
Left on 10/18/2010 for a stay in July 2010
The location was excellent - being able to spend so much time on a beach that was not crowded was so relaxing! The aC window unit was not working and even after a call to the manager, was not fixed. With the exception of that, everything was great!

Unfortunately, the air conditioner in the second bedroom could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. A new air conditioner was promptly installed in the second bedroom as soon as the replacement unit was available.

Nice little rental an hour out of Honolulu. Basically across from the Mormon Temple and a dry town.
Beds good, showers good, well stocked kitchen, wonderful deck, backyard, everything that others have said. Basically wonderful.
That said, it wasn't really clean~clean. A superficial kind of clean, so we cleaned it till we felt right. I am not "Monk", but I ...
The location was totally great for us because the compromise between touristy and privacy was met.
I spent my 60th Birthday at this little place and it was great.
Enjoy! -

Houston, TXQuaint, remote, and beautiful beach retreat!
Left on 07/17/2009 for a stay in June 2009
The home was a small unassuming beach house on the North Shore community of Laie. The home is conveniently located across from a small shopping center with a local grocery store and a couple of small restaurants. This was very convenient as we walked across the street to shop for groceries.
Laie is dry, so if you would like wine, etc, you can drive a short 5 minutes North to a local store in the next town. You will also see famous shrimp trucks on the side of the road nearby.
When you're pulling out of the yard where you park, be careful as the property is on a blind curve in the road. Fortunately (or irritating if you're in a hurry), the roads on the North Shore average 35mph.
The home itself was nice and clean - nothing elaborate or flashy, but all the necessities. The backyard deck is great! It is large and two-tiered with a nice grill and patio dining table and chairs. All the meals we ate at the house were eaten outside. The backyard could use a sprinkler system as the grass was a little sparse and noticeable compared to neighbors with sprinkler systems with green, lush grass. However, my son and I enjoyed passing a football in the nice-sized back yard.
The house in on an amazingly wonderful beach location! It is at the end of a beach with a hillside wall to the right of the backyard. To the left is a long, clean, and mostly uninhabited beach extending around to Goat Island. The beach visitors are mostly locals and they are few and far between. The snorkeling is wonderful with many varieties of aquatic creatures including colorful fish, lobster, octopus, and sea turtles. At least that's what all we saw... I?m sure there is more!
In relation to the other sites on Oahu, the home is in a great location. We saw everything on the island and the home was not more than an hour away from Honolulu or the other side of the island. North Shore beaches and attractions are only minutes away! Great get-away! -

OklahomaWonderful Beach view in a peaceful and quite town
Left on 07/16/2009 for a stay in June 2009
Don't let the simple outward apperance fool you. This little beach house right on the beach in Laie on the northeast side of the island of Ohau was simply wonderful. The inside has been updated and moderized with a very nice kitchen for those interested in cooking your own meals. The house was well equiped with washer and dryer and was very comfortable. It was also nicely supplied with little things, like dishwasher detergent, shampoo, etc. saving us from buying them while there. The beach is beautiful, quite, and peaceful. We woke up early a couple of mornings and watched the sunrise coming up over the ocean while sitting on the deck with a nice cup of kula coffee, what a beautiful site! I would stay there again.

Carmel, CARight on the ocean
Left on 07/16/2009 for a stay in June 2009
We would like to thank you for a too short stay at your home in Laie. We really enjoyed going to sleep to the sound of the ocean, walking the beach in the morning, and discovering crabs and other sea life near the shore. We especially appreciate your personal attention at the beginning and end of the trip. Your place would be ideal for someone who wanted to spend a lot of time at the Polynesian Cultural Center and do the snorkel/hike to Goat Island.

Left on 07/07/2009 for a stay in May 2009
Our stay in this home was perfect! It was everything we hoped it would be and more-on the beach and close to our family living on the North Shore. If you are looking for a quiet get away, clean and comfortable with room to relax and play on the beach, this home is it. We are planning to go again and will definately book our stay there. I have eagerly recommened it to anyone I talk with who is planning a trip to Laie. The location is ideal, close to shopping and the Polynesian Cultural Center, and a 15 minute drive to Turtle Bay. However, with the beach in our backyard, we stayed close to home.
