Overall we had a nice time at the house. Lavishgetaways were very quick to deal with the initial problems we encountered such as lack of linen, broken lock on back door and poor functioning kitchen utensils.
As previous reviews have mentioned, the house lacks basics such as wine glasses, cutlery, sharp knives , mugs in the kitchen and soft furnishings in the living areas . The configuration of bed are only suitable for 3 couples or people who don't mind sharing. We travelled as one couple, 2 mothers and 2 teenagers which meant my daughter (17ry) had to sleep in the back office/nanny room with next to no windows and my son (15ry) had to share the master bedroom, sleeping on the futon which was situated beside the walk in wardrobe but unfortunately there's no door between the two. Additionally lack of privacy prevails at the entrance between the bathroom and the bathroom with again no door. The location is great for walking to beaches and the local supermarket. We rented a car but in hind sight would have probably managed with the local bus service. We would certainly go back to the area and would book with Lavishgetaways again. -

This house is ideally situated on a rocky lava point between Shark's Cove and the southern end of Sunset beach. Some of the best snorkeling on the island was only 100m down the coastline from us at Shark's. Foodland is also walking distance just south of the house. The backyard has steps down to the lava and you can pick your way down to the beach or to Shark's Cove in about 5 minutes.
We traveled with a large group and rented the house next door as well. This house was ideal for entertaining - the kitchen & living room open into the backyard which is so nice for enjoying the perfect Hawaiian weather. Everyone hung out in the kitchen/living room of this house. The kitchen itself is massive with a huge island and excellent appliances.
The main downside was that the house was underfurnished. For example the living room is huge but it only had 2 armchairs and a sofa. The master bedroom looks almost ridiculous with a king bed in the middle of a massive empty room. The kitchen also was missing some utensils, etc. that would have been useful. And for example there were only about 8 glasses. The house has probably been a rental since it was built (quite recently) and the owners kind of cheaped out on the furnishing. -

This is truly Luxury Home on the Beach. Every part of this house is 10 times better than the pictures on the website. My father loved this house so much and even wanted to buy this house since it was for sale. But he couldn't since it was out of his range. This house was 4 millions.

We had a wonderful family small wedding on the beach just like 5 minutes walking from the house and had a family gathering inside the properties after the wedding. Jessie was absolutely helpful by answering all of our questions through the email. We only arrived in this island a day before our wedding but could arrange everything from Japan because he helps us to understand what is in the house very clearly. We stayed a few nights after our event, my family was very happy to stay at this house; we even had a BBQ for our last night to stay. There is a grocery store just a few minutes driving from this house. We really would love to go back again in the future, maybe next time, we would like to stay even longer, and would like to just stay in this house, chilling and relaxing in the backyard, doing nothing, going nowhere in that house!... that would be our next plan. Thank you!

I would recommend this rental to my friends if...
pros-If having a beautiful place to view the beach from to sit out on the balcony from the master upstairs and watch the waves crash against the rocks is important,then this is a good place.
-if you watch a large modern kitchen to prepare meals this is the place. This is a nice large open plan beach home that has access to the beach by a rock climb. There are
three full bedrooms one master up and two down with plenty of restrooms. There is a small "office" at the front on the home with a small twin for a person if necessary. so if you don't mind sleeping in the master upstairs while your children are down below in a strange place, then this is for you.
-close to resort, cultural center, grocery store, busy beach for tourism and local eating
Cons-home had a bug and ant infestation-they said they would handle it
-someone occupies the front house(so it is semi private)they were very quiet however
-not alot of comfortable seating areas for relaxation with a small TV so if you are doing a full entertainment night bring your own music and Tv's
-the path from the house down to the beach - two steps laid out and the rest a lot of choppy lava rock formation so for teens ok for grown ups good luck-there is however a close public access path minutes down from house
luxury retreats however are very professional. I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised by IaN and Shayne They should probably talk to the property management about upkeeping of an expensive home. Thanks! -

Redondo beachDream house

We went to the villa for vacation and birthaday. We stayed there for a week and had a blast. The view was amazing and it had a big lawn. The rooms were just amazing and the bathrooms too. The shower head was huge and it had jets to the side. We loved the floors and the hallway. The kitchen was big and spacious and we loved the sliding doors. We also loved that they had suave shampoo already in the bathroom. They had huge closets which we all love. It is just a mile walk to pipeline,and we would just walk to food land. Sharks cove was beautiful and there were so many fish! There were so many things to do !!! We had such a great time, and we will love to come back!!This really was a dream house!!! Mahalo J. Age 10
