Lairg is a small, rural village set in the centre of Sutherland. The Loch Shin Holiday Homes comprise of 2 cottages that are situated just 4 miles away from the village of Lairg. They are set on the edge of Sutherland’s largest and finest Loch: Loch Shin. The Oak has 3 bedrooms and the property offers enough space to accommodate up to 5 people; all the accommodation is spread across one level. There is plenty of off-road parking, allowing you to use your car to explore the immediate area and the many attractions that lie beyond.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Fantatsic cottage with all mod cons, spotless and well looked after by caretakers who were there if needed but not intrusive. Great lochside location, great views and lots of wildlife and good fishing.

The Oak was a lovely and comfortable house, with plenty space as there were 5 of us and our dog. The manager was very helpful and friendly. As it was gala week in Lairg, she came over with a brouchure with ideas for things to do with the kids during that week. The garden was spacious, plenty room for the dog to run around. Dissappointed not to get down to the loch side, but the manager explained why that wasn't possible. Nice quiet area with lovely views and quite central to go in any direction for a day out.
