Antique cabin sleeps 5 comfortably and two more on a fold out couch.

Everything there, just as grandma and grandpa left it ... pretty much. Full kitchen, including microwave these days, pots & pans, hair dryer, sheets & towels, hammock, shower, bicycles.

Lake front cabin with a glorious view of nearby Mt. Lassen from the water. Volcanic history. Great paved bike trail along the lake. The Neighborhood
You will be within walking distance of a nice restaurant with lake views and a small general store at Plumas Pines Resort. PP also has horseback riding, boat and skidoo rentals. A short bike trip (1/2 mi.?) to Prattville, well known for their Sunday chicken dinners and breakfasts on their deck.
You can see Mt. Lassen volcano from the shore in front of our cabin. This state park with bubbling mud pots is 32 miles away and makes a nice day trip. Picnics allowed.
The town of Chester is 10 miles away and great for heavy duty grocery shopping, live fishing bait, bowling, etc.
There is a public golf course a short drive away at Almanor West.
Driving Directions
From Reno:
Take Hwy 395 North towards Susanville. Near the Nevada/California border Hwy 395 turns into Hwy 36. Follow Hwy 36 through Chester. Turn Left onto Hwy 89 approximately 2 miles past Chester. Go approximately 6.2 miles and turn left at sign that says "Almanor 1." Follow to Plumas Pines Resort. Backup, you've gone a few cabins too far. Look for green cabin with chocolate colored trim, flags flyling and "Wilsons" on the sign on your left, Lake on the right.
From Chico:
Follow Hwy 32 East. Turn right onto Hwy 36 where Hwy 32 dead ends. Follow Hwy 36 towards Chester. Take right onto Hwy 89 two miles before Chester. Go approximately 6.2 miles and turn left at sign that says "Almanor 1." Follow to Plumas Pines Resort. Drive on for 6 homes (on your left, lake on the right) and see Wilson's green cabin with chocolate colored trim and flags flying in front.
From Sacramento:
Take I-5 north. A short ways outside of Sacramento take a right onto Hwy 99 North. Take right turn onto Hwy 70 North towards Oroville and Quincy. You will be driving up the beautiful Feather River Canyon. Several miles later take a left onto Hwy 89 through Crescent Milles, Greenville and Canyon Dam. Immediately after Canyon Dam you will see a right hand turned marked "Almanor." DO NOT take that as it goes to the east side of the lake. Continue on 89N and notice a sign on the right for Almanor/Pratville. Turn right and at the dead end at the bottom of hill turn left onto Almanor Drive West. Follow pst Plumas Pines Resort. Drive on past Dusty Road on your left, lake on the right. See many flags flying in front of Wilson's green cabin with chocolate colored trim and you've arrived.
From Red Bluff:
Follow Hwy 99 towards Chico. Take left onto Hwy 36 towards Chester, mineral and Lassen Park.Take right onto Hwy 89 two miles before Chester. Go approximately 6.2 miles and turn left at sign that says "Almanor 1." Follow to Plumas Pines Resort.Backup, you've gone a few caabins too far. Look for white rocks, flags flyling and "Wilsons" on the sign on your left, Lake on the right.
*If you're driving or towing a camping rig, it's better to stay on I-5 until Red Bluff, and take Hwy 36 from there. The Hwy 32 and Hwy 70 contains more hills and winding roads.*
Airport:
