About Our Cabin: Pine walls adorn our newly remodeled cabin. Kitchen and baths feature new cabinets, granite counters and appliances, new floor coverings and paint. Everything about the house was very comfortable and clean. The location was good. The only thing was, there was no internet, which would have made the stay more convenient.

My wife and I celebrated our 24th anniversary at the Norning Star cabin. We arrived on the 15th of Feb with just a hint of snow but within 3 days we had the most beautiful vision of pure white peacefullness. The cabin was very cozy, and had everything we could need for ou week in the mountains. The only thing we missed was a barbecue grill (they put it away in the winter) The master bedroom was very cozy and my girls loved the other upstairs bedroom. One bedroom downstairs was perfect for my aged aunt. It would have been nice to have uphill parking and unless you have chains on your tires I would not recommend parking on the driveway when it is snowing but we felt comfortable parking north? of the house. Our grandchildren came up and visited the last couple of days and had a wonderful time playng in the snow.
I and my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to renting it again (maybe for our 25th anniversary?...hmmm)
The owners were very pleasant to deal with and answered all of our questions prior to our vacation stay.
My wife and I recommend if you have a group of 8 or less this cabin is a great value and a great getaway retreat. -

My family of 8, 4 adults and 4 kids stayed for 3 days. We had such a great time. The cabin is spotless with new everything! We loved the new bathrooms and kitchen. The beds were super comfy too! The cabin is just a couple minutes up from the village and lake. My family had a great time! We truly appreciated such a nice place for such a great price! We would and have recommended this house to anyone! P.S. Loved the new washer and dryer as well!

When we arrived the stress of the week immediately melted away. Everything was immaculately clean and perfectly organized. We didn't want for a thing. We had expected to go out for dinner one evening, but we were so comfortable nestled into this little sanctuary that we decided to simply order in a pizza instead of venturing out. In short our stay was a much appreciated escape from the pressures of daily life.
