Our family rented all of the cabins and had a wonderful reunion. We were there for our granddaughter's wedding at the Lake Lure Inn and the cabins were within walking distance to the Inn and beach. I especially loved the porch area as it was the entire length of the cabin and was so quiet and peaceful early in the morning having coffee with my husband.

We loved our stay in the autumn Splendor cabin as a family of 6 ( with 4 young children). The cabin had all we needed and enough room for us. It was a quiet area and very peaceful. A few of our favorite things were the porch swing, the proximity to everything (Chimney Rock, Lake Lure Beach, and shops) and the jacuzzi. Pat Cook made it simple and easy for our family to enjoy Lake Lure:)

Everything we needed was provided and then some. We were there for three nights to attend family wedding activities. The cottage was most comfortable with all amenities provided. We will certainly consider staying there again if/when we return to the LakeLure area. Ms. Cook was very pleasant and accommodating.

Our cottage was clean, well stocked (I would be surprised if you need anything that is not there). We could walk to town and are 60 seconds from the Flowering Bridge which was just being finished. Ingles (grocery) is first class and only 10 minutes away. We are photographers, and because our stay was in early spring, we encountered rain and clouds. Even so, the area is beautiful (you can see photos below). There are several comments about cells phone and internet reception, but we have found that mountains and wireless reception do not go together (especially if bad weather is present). Pat was very hospitable.

My family and I stayed here during Thanksgiving week. It was our second year in a row to stay in one of the cabins. Both years were wonderful. During this time, we just wanted to be able to spend time w/each other and our Lord in a quiet, relaxed placed. These cabins (and their location) allows us to do just that. It's not just the cabins...the owners are warm and friendly, and do a tremendous to make each stay special.

South CarolinaPerfect Weekend Getaway at River Landing
Left on 01/02/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We stayed in River Landing for the New Year's holiday and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The cabin was beautiful and clean, and there was a card and box of candy waiting for us upon arrival. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and Pat was willing to work with us to accomodate our early arrival. I highly recommend River Landing - not only for the cabin itself, but the surroundings. It's easy to get to, and there is a beautiful river (lake? body of water?) in the backyard, with a covered swing area, a fire pit, and horseshoes. The setting could not be more idyllic. I have stayed in many mountain cabins around North Carolina and Tennessee in the past 10 years, but this one takes the cake. Pat and Four Seasons are hospitable and friendly, and we will definitely be staying there for our next getaway.

This was our return visit. We liked the screen porch, however the street traffic noise has gotten to be disturbing. Not relaxing in the least. The cabin is located close to Chimney Rock and only 45 mins. from ashville, but prepare yourself for the LeMans drive over the mountain. Internet worked fine as did our cell phone.

Stayed at River Landing Cabin to get away from hustle and bustle of work and life, Boy did I hit the jackpot. As mentioned Pat did everything to make my stay comfortable and relaxing. My family stayed in the Evergreen cottage. It was very comfortable, clean and fully stocked. Anything and everything you needed was there. The lake was beautifu.l There is a nice grocery store about 5 minutes down the street. It's about 30 minutes away from asheville which is nice. My husband said, "it feels like home". The only thing if you have to be connected to the internet and have a phone signal at all times, you might have an issue. I personally thought it was nice- more family time. Oh- Pat is great!

Left on 10/15/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Blue skies was our cabin. My new wife and I enjoyed a three night stay in the cabin. Its no lie that this place is fully furnished. We first went to a grocery store close by and came home that night to find we didn't need to buy a few things we thought we needed because everything was there. This place is cozy, very clean and in great condition. You could literally walk down the road and reach chimney rock and a few other cool shops. Our drive from the cabins to the Biltmore house was beautiful and its about 30 minutes away with very minimal traffic. Its close to many restaurants and attractions and if I need to contact the owner I could just walk to her house. Only bad thing is the cell phone service but thats really out of anyone's control. I use verizon because I have an insurance business that requires me to be anywhere and it usually works better than anyone else in the state of SC where I'm from, but I was surprised that my wife's T mobile service worked very well, normally shes borrowing my phone because she never has service. Lastly, the owner was very nice she greeted us and made sure she was over the top in accommodating our needs. Our stay there was quiet and peaceful, providing a great quiet time with the Bible open in the morning with a cup of coffee out on the screened in porch. My wife and I love the mountains and will definitely entertain vacation here again.

We stayed at the River Landing cabin. My husband, me, 3 kids and my mom all felt very comfortable the whole week. My daughters took advantage of the river behind the creek with fishing and we did visit and enjoy the Broad River Gem Mining down the road. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of towel, kitchen ware, space, nothing to complain about. Lots of great memories were made, and we got to see some of the Hunger Games movie locations. And after a long day of hiking, sight seeing it felt like coming home to this cabin. Great Job, four seasons cabins!

First the owner is a phenomenal person and I only met her once. She is straight forward and there are no hidden secrets. We loved the clenliness of the cabin, but the thing that really made us feel good was the "like home" feel. It smelled wonderful and you oould tell there was a lot of love and time spent in decorating the cabin. My 4 year old son loved it so much he kept saying "Mommy this is our home for now right?". If we visit Lake Lure again Four Seasons Cottages is where we would be, no questions.

Left on 07/26/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We were assured the cottage at 109 Boys Camp Rd had wireless internet and were disappointed to find that the signal really only works out on the deck (above what once was a single-car garage) where there are no power outlets. The 3 days of rainy weather could have been more bearable if we could have used the internet.
The Jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom is just a tub. The jets stopped working long before we stayed there.Response from Pat Cook - 07/27/2012

John, the wireless and cell phone coverage in the Lake Lure is a problem for all of us and the inclement weather doesn't help. Evergreen doesn't list a Jacuzzi on the amenities because it hasn't work in many year. It is very old and not fixable, we have tried. I do appreciate your business very much and I worked very hard for my guest to have a memoriable stay in my cabins and their visit to Lake Lure. Sincerely, Pat Cook

My family stayed in the Evergreen cottage so that we could bring our little dog with us. Having the kitchen and washer/dryer was great and the convenient grocery store so close by helped us to save money by eating some meals in the cottage. The Evergreen was clean and roomy. The biggest plus was that the Four Seasons Cottages are very close to all the attractions and the contrast of Lake Lure set against the mountain view is by far the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen. We miss it already and hope to be back soon.

Left on 07/21/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Visited Lake Lure for a Family Reunion. Rented 3 of the Four Seasons units. Ours was Blue Skies. Comfy beds and cleverly decorated. We enjoyed cooking out on the grills provided with each unit and sharing meals on the back screened-in porch. While our porch was in the shade most of the time a ceiling fan would have made it ideal. Pat Cook was very helpful in planning our visit and answered questions about the area while we were there. Would recommend Four Seasons to other family and friends. The main drawback was poor to non-existent cell phone service. Internet service was a bit better.
Response from Pat Cook - 07/22/2012

The cottage we stayed in (Autumn Splendor) was nicely decored and loved the smell of wood throughout, very comfortable atmosphere. Pat Cook's Four Seasons cabins at Lake Lure were a great place for our family reunion. We rented four cabins, sharing the cooking duties. The kids in our group (ages 5-14) played happily around the well-kept grounds. The adults enjoyed meals and games on the comfortable porches. It was also great for the little kids as they could play on the screened in porch. We enjoyed getting together in the beautiful asheville area. Lake Lure is a beautiful place, and it is only a short drive to asheville. We spent a day in asheville and also enjoy the small town shops Chimney Rock had to offer. My family and I went to Lake Lure for our niece's wedding. We stayed in a Four Season's cabin - Autumn Splendor. From the front porch to the back porch we could not have asked for a more lovely place to stay. All one needs to bring with them is a tooth brush and tooth paste, and, of course, clothes! Pat Cook has the cabin stocked with everything one would need. She was also very informative with letting us know about activities in the area. If we ever get back that way we would rent a cabin at the Four Season's.

I wanted to do something different for my son's Spring Break this year and we decided to do something adventurous and away from home. We brought along one of my childhood friends and her daughter (my god-daughter) to join us and we had an amazing experience. The service we received was excellent. Pat's hospitality will never be forgotten and from the minute we arrived we felt welcomed. The cabin (Autumn Splendor)is a beautiful 2 bedroom cabin in a great location and well organized. We felt right at home. The amenities are great. Everything we needed was available. In the four days we stayed at the Cabin, we went to Chimney Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, and Gem Mining. We ate at Old Rock Cafe and went hiking at DuPont Forrest Park to see the waterfalls. The people in the community made us feel very welcome and the overall customer service we received was outstanding. The entire experience is one that we will talk about for a very long time and will not be forgotten. We plan on going back again with a larger group (family members) so they can share our experience. I can honestly say that there was nothing to dislike. We had lots of fun and we are very pleased we selected Four Seasons Cottages & Cabins.

Left on 03/05/2012 for a stay in March 2012
My family stayed in the Creek Water Cabin for a relaxing weekend getaway. It's true that Pat is very friendly and accomidating and check-in was a breeze. The cabin was spacious and very cozy. Everything is very clean and beautifully decorated and we loved the gas fireplace. The screened porch was very large with lots of places to sit and relax. The view left a little to be desired but it was still very serene and we have no complaints about outside noise. There is also a grill available that we used one night for dinner. The kitchen is stocked with just about anything you can think of. Other than the food, the cabin had everything we needed to cook a great meal. The cabin is also child-friendly which was a relief since we have a 15 month old. Pat has toys and books and even a pack-n-play for the kids which was a nice suprise. Overall we were very happy with our stay and have already decided to make it a yearly thing. :)

Pat answered her phone right away and set us up to stay for 3 days. She was very helpful, and nice to deal with. The cabin was beautiful, well kept and decorated professionally. Close to everything... They also don't charge all of those ridiculous cleaning and processing fees. Make sure you eat breakfast at The Smokehouse if you stay here. Yum! My family stayed here over the Thanksgiving Weekend. We had a great time. The cabin was everything that we hoped it would be. Quiet, secluded, relaxing...you get the picture. We enjoyed watching our three boys play on the large Old Fashioned deck. We drank hot chocolate, played board games, and watched Dvds till the wee hours of the morning. The mornings are great for spending time alone with the Lord as you watch His beautiful creation come to life as the sun comes up over the mountain in the distance. The Lake Lure Park is just around the corner. We played there much and walked around at the Lake during the day. We spent the entire four days in the local area except for one trip out to Hendersonville. The local restaurants were great. Also, a grocery store has been built that is only about ten minutes away if you do need something. Don't worry about taking any cookware. Pat has provided everything you will need. We look forward to hopefully spending a whole week there next time! One last thing...the personal touches that Pat and Jim Cook have put into these cabins are over the top.

Left on 12/03/2011 for a stay in November 2011
We stayed at the Creek Waters cabin. Was immaculately decorated, very clean , and comfortable. Also had plenty of room for the five of us. Ten would be a stretch, although there is bedding for that many - probably would be Ok in the summer when you are spending most of the time at the lake. Proximity to Chimney Rock Park and Lake Lure was really convenient. Asheville also just about 30 minutes away and airport access is convenient. Local restaurants in the Gorge were not the greatest but that may have had to do with being here off season. Also, if you really need to use a phone, there are none in cabins and cell phone service is very spotty in the Hickory Nut Gorge area. But then again, you don't come to a place like this to use a phone! Would love to come back in summer to experience the Lake a bit more, but Chimney Rock Park was really neat to visit, and the cool weather made the hiking easier. Owner (Pat Cook) was very professional and really nice. She is also located close to cabins in case you need something. If you are looking for a nice, quiet place in the woods, without the bears(although there are deer about), this is a good place to go.

Left on 11/07/2011 for a stay in November 2011
If you are into cabin stays/amenities, you will not go wrong staying in the "Blue Skies" cabin within the Four Seasons Cabins of Lake Lure. Cabin was very clean, comfortable, & very well stocked with all necessities. Two people can squeeze into the whirl pool tub. Electric fireplace actually adds heat to the living room. Nice charcoal grill was available for use. Cabin was last in a row of three, parking is not abundant so save gas and bring as few as cars as possible(mentioned on website). Centrally located between Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. Great access to restaurants and downtown Chimney Rock. Cabin and location is described 100% on website. Doesn't claim to have a great view from the porch which it doesn't, but porch is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors and weather. Quick check in and out, just as website describes. Color of the trees was beautiful this time of year. No long lines or waits in restaurants this time of year. Grocery store is ten minutes away and is a "super" grocery store with gas, pharmacy, deli, etc, great place to purchase food to take with you to the cabin. All restaurants we attended were reasonably priced.

We actually rented two cabins for a get-together for our high school girlfriend get-away. We loved the cabins and the homey mountain feel they provided. We were so close to the Lake, we walked there. Restaurants were close as was Chimney Rock and Chimney Rock Village. All - very perfect.

Elizabethtown, KYSerene relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting
Left on 09/16/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabins were very clean and so nicely decorated. We especially loved having coffee in the morning on the large screened in porch with a view of the mountains. My family enjoyed a nearby hiking trail and the sites of Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. There is also white water rafting nearby to entertain the teenagers and adventure seekers. We would like to stay again and visit Biltmore which is close.
The service was great and the cabins had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. -

What an amazing place for a family reunion. The cabins are spotless, well appointed and in a central location to most of Lake Lure's and Chimney Rock's activities. The owner Pat Cook will go out of her way to make sure that your stay is your best ever away from home. The cabins have everything one could want for not to be in their very own home. We will definitely be back again and again!

Asheville, NCWonderful Reunion
Left on 08/18/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We rented 4 cabins for our family reunion and it worked out quite well. The deck for the largest cabin was large enough to accommodate all 16 of us for dinners and the cabins were close enough to each other so we could pop in and out without using a car. The beach was closeby so people could walk there.

This is truly a home away from home. Everything you needed was available... Screened porch with a swing for relaxing. Tvs for the couch potatoes... Plenty of reading material for those who like to unwind reading a little before bedtime...Wonderful location close to everything.

Fairfax, VASerene cottage
Left on 08/01/2011 for a stay in July 2011
I stayed here for a week with my six year son and a friend. The cottage was perfect in terms of location and amenities. We loved the front deck and spent hours lounging there in the mornings and evenings. Only one suggestion is for a bigger TV screen to view movies. We are already going to go back since my son has decided to stay at Pat's place again next year! Pat is so great and she even accomodated us for a little late checkout. We felt at home and really appreciated her help.

We stayed at River Landing and also had the chance to see some of the other cabins owned and managed by Pat and Jim Cook. We just loved it. Beautifully stocked with all the comforts of home, comfortable beds, very, very clean, well appointed, nicely decorated, great closet and dresser space, easy access to lots of fun activities. We had at times 6 of us sleeping there and never felt crowded. Modern bathrooms and aC worked great (a big plus in the heat). We cooked most of our meals there and had great fun in the well-outfitted kitchen. The river beckoned and we often found ourselves floating in our tubes before making dinner. The gem shop down the little road is wonderful and has some fascinating fossils as well - well worth checking it out. We hiked, kayaked, rock climbed, zip-lined and had wonderful family evenings, watched movies, played games and talked. Didn't want to leave. Definitely going back.

Connellsville, PAGreat Experience

Great location for a vacation, in a very nice log cabin. There were four adults in the cabin, but it did not seem 'tight'. Two bedrooms, two baths so there was no waiting for the shower, and the jacuzzi tub came in handy after climbing Chimney Rock which only down the road.
Just off the Lake Lure walking path, and close to restaurants, the cabins are in a great spot. Well maintained, we were there when temps were hitting the high 80's and low 90's, but the air Conditioned cabin kept the inside temperature well within the perfect range for sleep.
The large screened porch was great for evening meals, without the uninvited flies and mosquitoes. The only nitpick I have is that a ceiling fan (or pedestal fan) on the porch would make it just perfect.
All in all, a relaxing time. -

FLNice Cabin, but in Busy area
Left on 07/11/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The cabin was well taken care of and Pat was extremely friendly and easy to work with. We were there over a busy summer holiday weekend and the biker bar on the corner was busy and noisy all weekend. We would have preferred a more peaceful, secluded spot. The furniture in the cabin wasn't the most comfortable, but it was well-appointed and the screened, wrap around porch was very nice. It was nice to be so close to Chimney Rock and walking distance to the lake. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Our family of four stayed five nights in the Sundance Cottage. I brought a lot of stuff with us that could have been left at home because the cabin was so well supplied. Sundance cottage was clean and attractive, the beds were comfortable, and Pat was readily available to answer any questions or needs that might arise. The biggest draw for me was the lovely screened-in porch where my daughter and I spent a lot of time reading and relaxing. Through a break in the trees, you could even see up the mountain to Chimney Rock! Directly across the street is El Sureno Restaurant. My 19-year-old son, who loves Mexican food, said this was the best he'd ever had! The Lake Lure marina is an 8-minute walk, and then Chimney Rock Village is just a mile away. Lake Lure also has a beach with the scenic mountains in the background--just past the marina. My only problem with the cabin was that the showers were very small. Other than that, everything was perfect!

My wife and I spent a couple days in the Lake Lure area and absolutely loved our cabin. Terrific rustic log interior. Wonderful linens and amenities. Large screened porch. Very clean! Location is perfect. A mile to Chimney Rock entrance and the little shops. On a winding road perfect for morning runs; rock climbing trail. A mile to the town beach and marina(highly recommend the dinner tour!). Beautiful weekend! Already recommended to friends.

Charlotte, NCA Valentines to Remember
Left on 04/22/2011 for a stay in February 2011
My wife and I love the NC mountains and are always looking B&B;'s, quaint inns, etc. But we had never been to the Lake Lure area and in searching local lodging we found The Four Seasons Cottages. What a great find!
In a word our weekend there was...delightful. Pat, our hostess had everything prepared for our romantic weekend (wine and flowers)that she and I had discussed and we had the town to ourselves. While it was cool outside, the cabin was warm and cozy, clean as a pin and well built. The bed was deep and soft, the front porch made to rock on and the cabin was just right for the two of us. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials and a quick trip to Ingles stocked the pantry for our needs.
And yes...you can bet we'll be back in the summertime or fall when the area is not so boarded up, but this weekend was indeed one to remember.

On a last minute whim, we searched online for a NC cabin, and God led us to Pat Cook's gorgeous cabins. We chose Creek Waters and it was perfect. The check in was so smooth and easy. Pat and her husband were so nice and friendly and made us feel right at home. The cabin was immaculate and so cozy. We had a tiny problem with the heat, but our wonderful host came right down and we were warm and toast in minutes. Of course the fact that it was snowing made the scenery so breathtaking!!! The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of covers to snuggle beneath. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again!

Stayed in River Landing five days as our daughter was getting married at Lake Lure. Directions and keylock worked as advertised which was a relief as we arrived late. The cabin is beautiful and so comfortable. Loved the screen porch. It was a wonderful place to relax and unwind after hectic wedding festivities. The owner was great to work with and very accommadating as everything was handled via email. Would definitely recommend to anyone and stay again.

My group has stayed with Four Seasons a few times for various sporting festivals in the Lake Lure area and it has always been great. Pat is very nice and super easy to work with, and all the units are very nice. The location is perfect: walking distance to Morse Park and Olympiad stuff, and the beach & restaurants are close, too. I highly recommend it.

Could not ask for a better experience than my stay in the autumn Splendor cabin @ Four Seasons Cottages. Immacualtely clean, beautifully furnished, seamless reservation making & check-in/out, great "customer service" and "location, location, location" --- what more could you ask for? Look forward to next Lake Lure visit and perhaps trying one of the other properties by this Owner. Thank you for a great experience. See you next time.
