We've rented lakeside cabins every fall for the last twenty years everywhere from Maine to Minnesota. Our cabin at Pine Gables was the best equipped and appointed cabin we've stayed in yet. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. The owner's are dog friendly and helpful. If you want a no worry, low maintenance, restful vacation watching the river flow there is no finer place to take it than in Lake Lure in one of Pine Gable's cabins. The hot tub was a special touch, we really liked sitting in it on our metal roofed screen porch and listening to the rain hit the roof. Our dogs enjoyed several swims in the river and the Duck Pond at Pine Gables and give it two paws up as well.

Lake Lure, and especially Pine Gables remains as one of the most important and loved places in my heart. The cabins that Jim and Robin have added to Pine Gables are immaculate and personalized, including everything one could possible think of needing while on vacation. Who would'nt want to sit in a steaming hot tub, looking over Lake Lure to Chimney Rock Mountian? When entering the cabins, you immediately feel comforted and relaxed, knowing that someone put in a lot of hard work, time, and especially love, to make your vist everything you hoped it to be. I would certainly reccomend Lake Lure Cabins to anyone planning on visiting beautiful Lake Lure, NC.

We were delighted with our cabin at Pine Gables, overlooking Lake Lure, NC. With so much to do in the area - hiking, climbing, zip-lines, shopping - we extended our stay an extra day just to sit on the porch. We really loved the hot tub - such a treat! - and my husband was very happy to have WiFi and satellite TV. Although we had a couple of fantastic dinners at local restaurants, the cabin had a fully equipped kitchen, giving us the option of staying in and cooking. Our dogs were right at home - there was plenty of space for us to walk and explore, and a beautiful gas fireplace for them to sleep in front of. Our cabin was very comfortable for two, but we noticed that there are larger cabins that could accommodate a family, and we're planning to go back with our children in the summer. It was the perfect place for a get-away, and we're looking forward to returning.
