Beautifully decorated and tastefully appointed, Bearly Heaven Cabin offers fantastic mountain views, a game room with pool table, air hockey and stone-faced wet bar; and is 2 miles from Lake Lure Marina and 2.5 miles from Chimney Rock State Park.

This log cabin retreat, built in 2005, is nestled in the mountains on over an acre of land in the heart of the scenic Hickory Nut Gorge. With its close proximity to fishing and boating on Lake Lure and hiking in Chimney Rock State Park, Bearly Heaven Cabin places you in the center of activities, while being slightly off the beaten path. The spectacular views of Chimney Rock and Rumbling Bal...d Mountain make you feel like you are truly close to heaven. After a day spent hiking in Chimney Rock State Park or fishing on Lake Lure, come home to your own mountain log cabin professionally decorated with high quality wood furniture, stone details and charming nature accents throughout. Enjoy relaxing before the fire in the comfortable living area with high vaulted ceilings and expansive 2-story windows overlooking the mountains.

The 26’ x 18’ deck off the living area is furnished for outdoor dining and socializing, if you can take your eyes off the magnificent view of layered mountains stretching before you. But one of the most unique aspects of this cabin is the separate dining room with 3 walls of windows offering mountain and woodland views. The over-sized, hand carved dining table seats 10 comfortably and is perfect for serving memorable meals to family and friends. There is a second dining table that seats 4 in the nearby breakfast area. And it’s easy to prepare those memorable meals in the convenient kitchen which is fully equipped and thoughtfully appointed with most everything a gourmet cook would require.

Upstairs, the loft sitting area outside the master suite provides a quiet haven for reading or watching the light change on the mountains from the 2-story windows.

In 2009, we added a large game room, a fourth bedroom and a third bath on the lower level. Now our guests can enjoy a spirited game of pool or air hockey, or watch the wide screen TV while friends and family gather at the beautiful stone-faced wet bar.Read more

Bearly Heaven Cabin is located in a quiet area, on a dead-end road that is slightly bumpy, but 4-wheel drive is not necessary unless there is heavy snow. Because of the terrain it is very private and there is parking for 3-4 cars at the cabin. The cabin is about 1 mile from Lake Lure Marina and Beach and 1-1/2 miles from the entrance to Chimney Rock State Park and the shops and restaurants in Chimney Rock Village. There are 2 tennis courts and a playground also about 1 mile away. Several lakeside restaurants provide excellent dining and all are within a short drive. The largest grocery store is about 3 miles away.

$30 Nonrefundable Reservation Fee.
11.75% Sales/Occ. Tax.
Prefer a week stay in June-August, but will consider shorter stays when possible. Call to inquire.
Major holiday weeks are at High Season Rates.
Please call 828-625-9500 to make a reservation. 50% of rent + $30 nonrefundable reservation fee + tax required to confirm reservation. Major credit cards accepted. Balance due 31 days prior to arrival.
Standard N.C. Vacation Rental Agreement required which will be emailed to tenant to sign once we have contact info and credit card info.
Cancellations: Refund of advance rent minus $30 reservation fee and $50 cancellation fee if cancelled 60 days prior to arrival. No refund if cancelled less than 60 days prior to arrival, unless re-rented. If re-rented, cancellation fees apply.
$400 security/damage deposit (imprint of credit card taken; not charged if no damages, loss or violation of policies.)

  My family and I came in for a family wedding and absolutely loved the cabin. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoyed the amenities and views. The cabin was clean and in great shape and the rental company a treat to deal with. Would recommend the company, and this cabin specifically, to anyone staying in the Lake Lure area.

  My family and I stayed here this past weekend, 10 of us in all, and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. This cabin is very very nice inside with plenty of space, and the game room with pool table and air hockey was a lot of fun. You have an amazing view of the mountains and chimney rock from the large back deck. You can literally walk to Lake Lure, and Chimney Rock Park is only two miles away. We will definitely be booking this cabin again when we go back to the mountains.
