Located in the beautiful gated community of Riverbend, just minutes from Lake Lure, Chimney Rock Park and three golf courses, our comfortable home is perfectly positioned for a relaxinng, fun, getaway at any season of the year.

The Broad River runs through the Riverbend community, inviting you to enjoy hiking, waterfalls, swimming at the lake front beach. The lakes offer fantastic bass fishing. Hiking trails and grilling areas are along the banks. Wildlife can easily be seen.

Hibernate away from the stresses of life and still stay connected. Our home is ready to serve as a quiet haven or an... active vacation for you and your family. You will find the home to be furnished to meet your needs and perfectly located as a base camp for your mountain vacation. The home is newly constructed (2008) and sized perfectly for most families with three comfortable bedrooms.

Riverbend is only a few minutes from the Town of Lake Lure and the lake. Groceries, restaurants, road-side stands and antique shopping are all around. This location gives you the opportunity to dine out at

a range of restaurants with quality food, friendly service and reasonable prices.

The comfortable chairs on the huge screen porch invite you to relax after a day of activities or just enjoying nature. Enjoy winter evenings resting in front of the cozy fireplace sharing a cup of hot chocolate

or a perfect bottle of wine.

We are located here in Lake Lure, NC.

KITCHEN

A fully furnished kitchen -should you want to cook- features a large refrigerator equipped with filtered ice and water, dishwasher, self-cleaning oven and range, and built in microwave.

The kitchen also features a coffee maker, toaster, blender, dishes, glasses and silverware to accommodate a crowd. The attached breakfast bar encourages conversation around the kitchen.

LIVING ROOM

There is a large sofa and a comfortable leather chair with footstool to relax in front of the gas fireplace.

This room also includes a 32” LCD flat panel TV with DVD/Blu-Ray, game console, and Roku-HD for internet streaming. Games and books are also available to use during your stay. Please note, the TV is only available as indicated, there is no live TV.

DINING ROOM

The dining room features a ample table that seats 6-7 people. Perfectly sized for meals or game night.

The screen porch additionally features a table seating 4 people for more intimate events.

MASTER BEDROOM

The master bedroom has a new queen sized bed with fine cotton sheets, lots of pillows, warm quilt and comforter. There is private access to the master bathroom, a large closet and dresser.

The master bedroom also features access to the main deck. Enjoy the early morning views over a quiet mug of tea or coffee.

MASTER BATHROOM

The spacious master bathroom features a whirlpool bath, seperate shower and two vanity/sinks.

A hairdryer, flatiron and magnified lighted mirror are also provided for your use.

SCREEN PORCH

Relax and view the mountain and forest areas while unwinding on the huge screen porch. Accessible from both the living room and the master bedrooom this is an outdoors home-away-from-home. Our screen porch is furnished with a comfortable loveseat and table, two chaise lounges plus a dining area for 4 people.

BEDROOM 2/3

Bedroom 2 is furnished with a new Queen bed, a dresser and a built-in closet.

Bedroom 3 is furnished with two new Twin beds, a built-in closet and a dresser.

MAIN BATHROOM

The main bathroom has a shower/tub plus vanity/sink.

A hairdryer is provided for your use.

LAUNDRY

A full sized washer and dryer are available for your use

NEIGHBORHOOD AMENITIES

The gated Riverbend community provides amazing amenities for the family to find adventure. It features two lakes with a swimming beach & dock, picnic areas, waterfall, and river.

Build sandcastles on the Mirror Lake Beach (there's a play area for the children), have a meal at the covered picnic site that offers spectacular views, hike, bike or jog on of the many trails, or just sit and relax by the waterfall.

The lake is stocked & ready for fishing (license required). The river is perfect for fishing & floating your cares away-especially if you catch a dam release.

ELDERLY ACCESS

Our home is on a single-level and is readily accessible for many active elderly people. Please note our home is not equipped with ramps, handrails or recliners so may not be suitable for those with special needs. Please ask if you have questions.

Nestled deep in the heart of the Western North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains you’ll discover what National Geographic magazine calls one of the most spectacular man-made lakes in the world.
Lake Lure is a popular vacation destination for many.

Ingles Market, with its full-service supermarket and pharmacy, is a few minutes drive from our home.

Nearby attractions include Chimney Rock Park, Flat Rock Playhouse, Main Street Hendersonville, antiquing in Black Mountain, Asheville and the Biltmore Estate, the Pisgah National Forest, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and many more mountain vacation activities. The area is well situated to enjoy all four seasons of the year with mild winters and summers.

Visit Hendersonville, Asheville, the Biltmore House, Gardens and Winery, the beautiful waterfalls of Brevard, NC, Trout Fishing in the rivers, Black Mountain, Saluda, Bat Cave and Chimney Rock and of course--Lake Lure. Take a tour of Lake Lure and see why film makers have chosen our area for several famous movies!

The view from Chimney Rock, just 10 minutes away, during the fall can not even be captured in words that would do it justice. You have to visit to appreciate!

  What a wonderfully relaxing stay at this beautifully furnished mountain home. The oversize screened in porch with a view of the mountains was a great way to enjoy your morning coffee and also your evening cocktail. We also appreciated the fully equipped kitchen. In addition, the development had a great walking trail with a lovely waterfall. Close proximity to Lake Lure and Chimney rock -- both a must see. Also convenient to ashville and the Biltmore -- highly recommended. This home is a great place to spend a week in the mountaints and re-charge. Thank you for sharing your home.

  This cottage had it all. Close to area restaurants and shopping at Chimney Rock.We loved the rooms and the huge screened back porch/deck. We would eat our meals out there and watch the deer and other wildlife. So relaxing. The kitchen was great also. We are returning for our anniversary. Thanks! David and Patricia.   We stayed at the Hilly House for two nights this weekend. So impressed with the house! It is located on a slope that lets you watch a lovely small valley full of trees. There is a large, very broad screened porch that is set up for comfortable enjoyment of the quiet and nature. Inside, the kitchen is very nicely prepared (there were six of us and we had no trouble cooking, nothing missing!) to handle us. A comfortable sitting area, a lovely and very serviceable dining table. The bedrooms are quiet and clean, the beds very comfortable. The bathrooms practical and again, every thought has been put into making one's stay problem-free. We highly recommend it!

  We enjoyed our weekend trip to the area to experience the changing of the leaf colors. We found the property to be clean, well appointed and very little if anything that we would have needed for an enjoyable stay. The property owner(s) were very accommodating and prompt to answer questions and concerns. We would recommend the property.
