We were four guys looking for a place to stay while golfing the Robert Trent Jones Trail. Although somewhat out of the way, the "Greenhouse" was so beautiful, we all agreed it was worth the drive! An incredible location, spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds...all around a wonderful stay.

If you are looking for absolute perfection than this is the house for you. The house is absolutely gorgeous and located in its only little oasis of isolated heaven in the perfect cove on Lake Martin. We seriously couldn't ask for anything better. The golf was great. The kayaking was wonderful but more than anything else, the house was picture perfect and the owners couldn't have been any nicer to us. Thanks Bill and Marie!!

We came from Richmond, Virginia to a wedding! There could not have been a more perfect spot for the Groom's family to stay, visit, relax, celebrate and enjoy and get to know alabama!!! The home is comfortable and so are all of the beds! The house is nestled in a natural setting on a beautiful clear Lake Martin. The owners have every detail taken care of. The home has a great look with beautiful floors and furnishings, but very casual and relaxing. There is a spacious bedroom downstairs for those who hate stairs. You have Internet, Cable and TVs for those who want to catch a game or hear some music. The kitchen is great for cooking up family size meals with a friendly great room off of it. The whole back of the first floor has a great big screened porch with a swing and lots of chairs overlooking the dock and Lake. The area has several nice restaurants. The owners are involved in the preparations for your visit so nothing gets forgotten. There is a grill and plenty of floats and don't forget the Kayaks and fishing poles in the basement. Whether you are having a celebration or getting away from it all, the Green House offers it all. Wow alabama...now we know what we've been missing.

Most of all, I enjoyed the tranquility, privacy and beauty of the place. Everything was perfect and inspiring. I went with my adult children and a couple of friends for the wedding of my son and stayed there for 3 days. We all felt it was perfect and wished we could stay longer. We had a lot of quality time together, enjoying each minute we were there either at the lake and inside the house. Each area of the house was inviting and cozy and found everything we needed. It is truly a gem. Definitely I'll love to return to this place. I'm taking with me lots of good memories!

Fairhope, ALThe Greenhouse - A Hidden Gem on Lake Martin

The three words that best describe The Greenhouse: "Location, location, location!" We found The Greenhouse through an online search and count ourselves lucky to have unearthed such a hidden gem. We were looking for a private, serene spot on the lake to unwind and catch up with our children and that's just what The Greenhouse delivered. Bill and Marie met us upon arrival and made us feel right at home. We chose an off-season weekend and literally saw only one boat on the lake (other than the canoe, and two kayaks Bill and Marie provided for our stay.)We love the outdoors, so we spent a good bit of time on the lake and relaxing on the porch. We also enjoyed making smores over the fire pit (by the lake) and hanging out in the hammock. It's obvious the Tidwell's have thought of everything one might need during their stay. The only thing you'll need to pack is your food, although there are nice restaurants only minutes away. The basement is outfitted with exercise equipment, fishing rods, life vests, and floats for water recreation. There was more than enough room for our family of five and a friend. Clearly, I could go on and on about what we liked best. What we liked least...that we couldn't stay longer! Don't hesitate on this one.
