Newly finished, luxury, apartment vacation rental just outside village of Lake Placid. 1 queen bdrm, also queen foldout in livingroom. Gas fireplace, full kitchen, jetted bathtub. HDTV (limited cable) Free Wi-Fi. No telephone.
Fully furnished, accessorized. No smoking, no pets. This apartment is the bottom floor of a part-time occupied house, located 4 miles outside of the village - between Whiteface Mtn and Lake Placid. It is in a residential area but very private and secluded. 4 people maximum. There are 2 local taxi services which will bring you to/from Main St. Lake Placid for about $10.

This is a wonderful rental and added so much to our Lake Placid vacation. The decor and amenities were perfect. It was the perfect place to recharge after a day of hiking. It is super convenient to both Placid and Saranac which made it so easy to move around and explore. Our landlord was also great - there but not in our face. This is a very special rental!

155019Perfectly situated oasis between town and Whiteface

I've rented a number of vacation properties online but this is the only time that the reality exceeded expectations. The apartment is either new or in new condition. The furnishings are of a very good quality -- no hand-me-downs here -- and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. The big jacuzzi bath was a treat after skiing. We had stayed at a hotel in town for 3 nights so the kids could enjoy a pool but we felt very smug being able to leave the the loud hockey kids and their hard partying parents behind at the hotel. The apartment was quiet and cozy and welcoming. The kind of setting that inspired the two 14 year old girls to sit in front of the fireplace for hours playing cards, or out on the pretty terrace painting their toe nails, rather than watching TV or going on facebook.
