We have stayed twice and absolutely recommend this cozy escape close to town. Wonderfully and thoughtfully equipped for a family get away - the washer/dryer, kitchenette and fabulous family size couch made our stays comfortable and worry-free. We have figure skaters and walking back and forth to the rinks is a breeze - just a perfect spot. Delina is lovely to work with - she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely basement apartment with my sister and her husband. The two bedroom unit is well appointed and includes a decent sized kitchen and living room with a very comfortable pullout sectional. There is only one bathroom with a small shower stall. There is full sized laundry facilities. It is nicely decorated without being too cluttered. The bedrooms are small but not cramped. The beds are reasonably comfortable although my sister sad hers sagged in the center a bit. Although this is a downstairs unit under a main house, there were no noise issues and we had a separate entrance, plenty of parking and access to a single garage. We walked to town, went cross country skiing on the lake, downhill at Whiteface, shopped, ate out and in. We had a lovely Lake Placid vacation. Thank you very much.

Grand View Escapes is a lovely, cozy holiday stay - we (family with two kids, 12 & 9 years) went there for a skiing break & immediately felt this could be our second home. Location is great too, away from Lake Placid busy main road, but still in easy walking distance. Everyone in our family would have liked to stay longer. Definitely recommend!

We spend a wonderful time in Lake Placid. The equipment is good, you have everything you need. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We appreciate the sunny terrace and the quiet neighborhood. We found a lot of activities to do, mountain bike, kayak, canoe, hiking...
The house is 5 min from city center away, were you can find shops, restaurants and a very nice and old movie theater! We visit the small cities around and the other lakes. The nature is exceptional and that was what we wanted to see.
