We booked this house over Christmas, based on Tahoe Getaways listing stating 2 kings, 1 queen, 2 bunk beds. Arrived at the house to find only 1 King, 2 Queens, 2 bunk beds. The bedrooms downstairs were tiny, so no way to fit another king bed. In addition to being mislead, the beds were very uncomfortable and house somewhat worn. Lastly there is a roll away bed in the garage, that we brought in to use for one of our children, when we opened the bed, there was rat poop all over the bed. Nasty is an understatement. Since the booking was Christmas week we were paying an grossly inflated fee for a house that was misrepresented. After the trip, I talked to 4-5 folks that worked at Tahoe Getaways. The last person I spoke with was Luke a manager and he asked what would make up for their mistake. I asked for a 20% discount, thinking this only fair, since they admitted they had the listing wrong, and I had clearly stated we would not have rented this home if they did not mislead us with bad information. Luke offered $150, which is not acceptable. Luke stated he could have fixed the problem had we called during our stay, however as stated above, the bedrooms in the basement are so small that there is no way a king could fit. Ironically they did not put another king in the house, instead, they fixed their mistake on the listing. In addition, Luke stated the roll away bed is not part of their listing, so he felt that was not his problem. We are still hoping Tahoe Getaways will correct their mistake and offer an appropriate discount, however, I can not recommend this house or Tahoe Getaways. I hope this does not happen to another person looking to rent from Tahoe Getaways.

Our son's baseball team had a tournament with games at Incline Village, Reno & Sparks and Northstar was a good central location. House was close to the Gold Bend condos where the other team families stayed. Shuttle service was very responsive and convenient. Rec Center has huge pool & jacuzzi. Village was pretty quiet during the summer/non-peak season. Spent a fantastic day at Kings Beach. Did another day floating down the Trukee River, out of Tahoe City. We had tons of fun for 5 straight days!!
Nicely appointed, comfortable home, great Northstar location

We really enjoyed our family ski trip at Northstar over the holidays. The house was very comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen had a great selection of utensils, pots, and dishes which made cooking meals very easy. The location of the house is ideal since it's right on the Northstar shuttle and not too far from the village for ease of access. A great sledding hill in the backyard with plenty of sleds in the garage to use. We loved the tv room downstairs where the kids could camp out while the adults enjoy some quiet time upstairs. The only issue we had was with the temperature of the house - it was either too hot or too cold. They have an older thermostat so just replacing it with a digitial one should do the trick. Will most definately stay here again.
Great house with peaceful setting! Nice updates throughout, cozy for our large family but did the job! The shuttle service is fantastic and the recreation center is awesome for the kids to swim! The cleaners could pay a bit more attention to detail as we had some spider webs to contend with but overall, we were very happy!
We had a wonderful time in the rental and at Northstar...

The rental is great, although thinking that no pets were allowed, my grandkids were covered in dog hair after playing on the floor in the living room...maybe housekeeping needs a better vacuum...
Other than that, the place is fantastic...Northstar is a great place to vacation with the family.

fairly spacious house, but worn. towels were frayed, comforters stained. not as well stocked as other places we have frequented. electric stove is quirky, with a burner that shuts off when you have the oven on, so cooking is hampered. on the positive side, shuttle is convenient and there were sleds

This house is located at Northstar and is perfect for a ski getaway. The door to door shuttle service was exceptional and very convenient. The house was great, a large living area with a very warm fire place. It had plenty of bedrooms and a study for someone looking for quiet. The house is completely self contained and the perfect retreat for our families holiday vacation.

I was very satisfied with the service provided by Tahoe Getaways. They were both professional and accessable at all times. We enjoyed staying at the Northstar Pines home very much - its located near the village, its clean, spacious, bright and accomodated our large family. The house can use a full bath downstairs, but all in all I would rent it again.
