The Palms is located on the main basin of Lake Travis (closest to downtown Austin) and one mile down the scenic Comanche Trail from The Oasis. The waterfront property sleeps up to 10 guests and boasts an expansive patio for entertaining, a large yard for games, and a protected cove with a dock.
Nearby attractions include Windy Point Park, Volente Beach Waterpark, Mansfield Dam, several marinas, The Oasis, and of course, beautiful Lake Travis which spans over 65 miles of scenery.

Rental fees
- Occupancy Tax - 6% of rental - Tax - Occupancy Tax
- Cleaning Fee - $120 / stay - Fee - $60 for only one unit
- Security Deposit - $600 / stay - Security Deposit - $300 for only one unit
- Garden House Only (up to 6 guests) - $375 / day - Other - On occassion we will rent the Garden House only (sleeps up to 6 guests). In that case, the rental rate is $400/night on-peak ($375 off-peak), $60 cleaning fee, with 6% occupancy tax. The deposit is only $300 in this case.

If you have six guests or less, we sometimes will rent only the Garden House for $400/night on-peak ($375/night off-peak) with a $300 deposit and $60 cleaning fee.
We require the first half of the total rental payment to be paid upfront to secure your reservation. Final half payment will be due 14 days prior to check-in with the refundable security deposit due 1 day before check-in.
On certain summer holidays, such as Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, and F1 weekends we have a 3 night minimum.

We spent a delightful Thanksgiving week at The Palms at Lake Travis. Robin made us feel so welcome and went out of her way to meet any needs we had. We stayed in the Gatehouse and it was a perfect place for our out-of-town and local austinites to gather for a fun, relaxing week.
We appreciated having eggs, milk and bread awaiting us, along with snacks, chips and wine.
All in all, a great place to stay. Some in our group felt the beds were too soft and that new sheets are about due. Some of the kitchen tools were also pretty hammered. These minor complaints are the only reason we didn't give five stars, but would happily stay here again.
We felt like we got excellent value and had a wonderful stay. Enjoyed the hot tub and appreciated the cleanliness of the entire property.Response from The Palms on Lake Travis - 11/30/2012

Your comments about the sheets are the first time we've heard anything negative about them, and we will take action right away to replace them with newer sheets.
We also agree with you about the kitchen tools - it's time for an upgrade, so the Garden House will be getting a new set for Christmas! They were upgraded in the Lakefront Suite just last summer, and the Garden House is ready to catch up!
On the beds, we've received a lot of very positive comments about the comfort of the beds - it's just one of those things where you can't please everyone. Some like them softer and some like them firmer. We could always remove the foam toppers for those who like the more firm beds on your next visit.

We rented out both the guest house and the bedroom of the main house for our wedding ceremony and for the family from out of town to have a place to stay. The property is absolutely gorgeous and the little touches and helpfulness of the owners made the weekend go smoothly even with all the wedding commotion! The groom and I stayed at a near by resort that didn't even compare to The Palms. We plan on returning for our anniversary and this time staying at The Palms!

I am a native of austin, and come back frequently to visit family, typically staying with family. This trip we decided to rent a place, and I can say that our stay at the Palms literally transformed our whole vacation. Stunningly beautiful, absolutely luxurious, and every single detail has been anticipated by the owners, Robin and Rodney. We felt completely at home. My kids loved swimming in the lake, running around on the expansive lawn, and the late night chats on the patio. We had planned to do other activities--and Robin was also great at suggestions of things to do--but we loved the house so much we invariably ended up hanging out there instead. I think that says it all!

I stayed there for a ladies weekend on June 28-July 1. There were 10 of us; 6 in the Garden House and 4 in the Lake Front House. The owners Robin and Rodney were very nice and accommodating. They live on the property, but gave us a lot of privacy, we very seldom saw them. This is an amazing place to stay, absolutely gorgeous! The description and photos are very accurate. They provided us with all the amenities listed. Both houses were very clean. We had a wonderful time!
