Ithaca, NYA wonderful, gracious and peaceful retreat, great owners
Left on 04/12/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Along with two friends, my wife and I shared a 2-bedroom unit at "As Time Goes By" in Lake Worth. This was the best vacation venue in Florida we have ever stayed at. This small resort is a wonderful, gracious and peaceful retreat, with lovely and complete amenities, a great pool, and easy access to downtown and the beach. The hosts, Gail and John Morin, are exemplary in their attention to their guests and their property.

Our stay was very relaxing!! The villa we stayed had space and style. Beautiful antiques thoughout the villa mixed with a modern look as well. The outside is absolutely beautiful. The landscape is amazing with flowers and plants and wonderful fountains are thoughout the area. There are plenty of places to relax either laying in the sun or sitting under a canopy and sipping a cool drink.
I would recommend for couples that need to relax! -

If you are looking for a place to stay in Lake Worth this is it !!! We always travel with a travel trailer and camp when we visit our daughter and family and this year decided to try something different. I cant say enough about as Time Goes By. The owners are wonderful, the place is immaculate and the grounds are very relaxing. We stayed in the Jeffrey and had everything we needed...the washer dryer in unit is a big plus. It is close to the beach and downtown with many good restaurants and bars. I will be returning at the end of May with my husband and probably every year we head down there if there is availibility.

Gail and John were gratious hosts in this relaxing
and beautiful oasis. If we had any questions they responded immediately.
Everything was perfect for the one month that we stayed there. The villa that we stayed in(the ashley) was immaculate and had all the amenities: full kitchen, washer and dryer, two tvs, spacious livingroom and bedroom. The grounds are beautiful and the saltwater pool
was perfect.
It's only 1- 2 blocks to Lake and Lucerne aves. and about one mile to Lake Worth Beach.
We have already booked 2014 and can't wait to return. -

As Time Goes By was perfect for us. It was so comfortable and relaxing, the amenities were charming and the entire place serene and secluded. The villa was lovely, clean and spacious, the pool lovely and surrounded with plenty of chairs and lounges. We were able to sun ourselves or enjoy the shade. Only 2 short blocks to the lovely town of Lake Worth.

We were very impressed with most everything about our stay at this lovely resort! The owners, Gail & John were attentive, professional and accommodating! My husband and I both called and spoke to Gail before we booked our reservation and we felt like we had known her for years! Our villa was extremely clean, modern and had everything we could ask for including a washer/dryer and even a goodie bag, coffee for our coffeemaker and a folder that had a map and things to do in the area with a couple coupons! The bed was super comfortable and they even provided comfy toppers for the rollaway and air mattress for our two daughters! The garden area and pool were small in footage, but beautiful and well-maintained! There was a firepit and grill area if we wanted to use it. A ton of different boardgames were also available. We really enjoyed walking to the downtown area and loved all the different restaurant and music entertainment choices! They even provided beach chairs & umbrella we borrowed for our trips to the beach! We have family who live in the area, but staying here gave us more of a vacation feel! We would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time in Lake Worth last spring. I cannot recommend this collection of apartments enough. A private pool and beautiful surroundings. Lake Worth is a very cute town and very near to everything you'd want both north and south along the coast. We would love to return!

Just spent Wednesday-Sunday at this beautiful cottage. Meticulous care and attention to detail made the visit very pleasant and I can't wait to return again to this paradise. The owners are extremely gracious, helpful, the beautiful pool was a delight and it was so convenient to restaurants, shops - even walked the 1 mile to the beach. Can't wait to return again!!

Just ended (sadly) a three night stay. Perfect setting (quaint, tropical garden), perfect location (walking distance to downtown, blocks to beach and groceries) and perfect accomodations (everything furnished in a beautiful and luxurious way). I cannot say enough about as Time Goes By. Do yourself a favor and book it.

John and Gail, the owners treated me like family and this villa felt like a home away from home. I could make a short walk to the beach and return to the beauty of the interior garden and pool. The furnishing is modern and comfortable. I can not wait to rent this again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at as Time Goes By. Gail and John were the consummate hosts, meeting us upon arrival and showing us around. The accommodations were lovely - very well kept with nice bedding and a kitchen with everything we needed. There were plenty of towels and even beach towels provided. The pool area was lovely; it had a separate shaded seating area and gas grill. A Publix supermarket was within walking distance, as was downtown Lake Worth with plenty of antique shops, restaurants, and bars. Highly recommended - we will return next time we are in South Florida!

We travel to West Palm 2-3 times per year. Ordinarily we opt for great hotel deals. On a whim, I searched for something a bit different than hotel chains. As Time Goes By is the antithesis. More than warmly welcomed, we felt as though we were guests in dear friend's home: the grand tour, the history, a goodie bag, great books and fresh flowers. Gail and John are genuinely kind and hospitable at heart, so their venturing out into the world of B and B's is no stretch. If you are looking for action and nightlife, this not your place (although the resort is within walking distance from bars-- and you can hear their music at night with the windows open). If you wish quiet and tranquility, this would be a perfect match. Gail and John did all the landscaping on the property and their effort shows, making one feel as though we were in our own oasis. We will be forever guests and consider ourselves lucky to have found such a hidden (though not for long) treasure.

A couple of weeks ago, I stayed a few nights in one of the villas/cottages of as Time Goes By(Atgb). Even though I was on a golf retreat with some friends, I was quite impressed with this cozy and relaxing establishment.Beside all the features of a modern hotel suite(e.g.WiFi, HD TV, Ipod speakers, washer, dryer, etc), I adored the garden topography which weaved though out the surrounding villas. The venue is also a block away from the main road complete with great restaurants, laid back coffee shops and outdoor cafes. I also discovered a great cigar shop and a Publix grocery store within 2 blocks. I enjoyed my stay so much, I'm already making plans for a return visit by mid March. (Can't wait to exhale again).

As Time Goes By is a lovely, well-run, welcoming, well-situated, comfortable little 'resort'. Gail and John are responsive but not intrusive. The cottage we stayed in was clean, cozy, well-furnished and supplied with everything we could need, including kitchen niceties like bottle opener, cheese grater, paper towels, and fluffy bath and beach towels, HD TV, etc. etc. The location was perfect for us - very near downtown Lake Worth, and a 5 minute drive to the beach. Of course that meant we could hear the live music from downtown restaurants every night which might bother some (it didn't bother us - nice blues!) and the beach parking was $2/hr 24/7, accepting only quarters, or credit card in $4 increments in a bizarrely convoluted payment machine.). Lots of wildlife preserves in the area, too - I could go on and on - LW is a great town, and atgb a great place to stay while exploring it. We were there for 2 weeks and wished we could have stayed for a couple of months... (p.s. Don't miss The Pelican restaurant if you like Indian food!)

When I arrived at "As Time Goes By" on September 21st I was greeted by the owners John and Gail Morin who gave me a tour of the cottages and grounds. All were impeccable. My cottage had lush bedding on a beautiful queen sized bed, flat screen High Def Direct TV,an ultra modern and spotless kitchen and bathroom, remote controlled ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom,a beautiful view of the pool and gardens outside my door from all windows,a washer and dryer in the unit, plenty of dresser and storage space and so much more that I got the feeling that every convenience was incorporated into this home. The location of the cottages is 1 block from many restaurants and stores of all kind and close to the beach which I did not get to. I recommend "As Time Goes By" for a very pleasant and enjoyable getaway.
