Water view cottage on private island where deer eat out of your hands. This charming, newly remodeled cottage has a gourmet kitchen. It is cozy, with a wood burning fireplace and comfortable new couch that can seat 4 (or sleep 2); Direct TV, large windows and two sliding glass doors opening to the front deck, providing a beautiful western view of Puget Sound, Watch the sunset while eating dinner outside. The master bedroom has queen size bed, sliding glass door to the back porch, park-like view of large, open yard where deer gather; 2nd bedroom has double bed; includes washer/dryer use, small deck in back.

Herron Island is called 'The Jewel of S. Puget Sound'. It is a perfect getaway on a peaceful, private island and is only a 10 minute ferry ride from the Key Peninsula dock in Lakebay. The Island is small and can be easily navigated around by canoe or kayak. There are 7 miles of tree-lined country roads to walk or drive while enjoying views of the Olympic Cascades, Harstine Island and Olympia. There are 2 community beaches and parks. Day trips can include Gig Harbor, Tacoma, Seattle and Port Townsend. Many other small towns and State parks are close by.

We had a wonderful time on Herron Island staying at Twin Wolves resort! The tiny island in the Puget Sound has excellent views and is a great chance to get away and relax for a few days. The cabin was beautifully furnished and incredibly comfortable, and we didn't mind that it rained all weekend because we just stayed indoors enjoying the fireplace and the wonderful kitchen. The island is very small, and there isn't much to do, but for a few days of relaxing, spending time with a significant other or friends, walking around the island and enjoying the beaches and wildlife, I would highly recommend Twin Wolves Resort!
