Welcome to Lakes Entrance and our little piece of paradise. Please see our reviews on the Airbnb site.

Our b and b is self contained with internet facilities, own verandah, own bathroom with shower/bath, toilet and washing machine, dinner available by gourmet cook if required. There are cooking facilities in the room which is heated and cooled with a reverse cycle air conditioner. The place is all on one level with no stairs and is wheel chair and walking stick friendly. We have a great ocean view, are very friendly, love meeting new people and have a lot of local knowledge to ensure your stay with us is as comfortable as possible. Ju...st ask and if we can help we will. We also have a large permanently heated fully maintained spa ready for weary guests at the end of a long drive...and yes of course you can take a (plastic) glass of wine or whatever in with you.

The accommodation is separate and away from the house, ensuring you have peace and quiet (although we can't guarantee the birds won't wake you). Lakes Entrance is a seaside resort that is fairly quiet but comes alive in summer and Easter.

I do like to cook and can provide a meal for you (at pub prices) and would love a little notice to enable me to ensure I have gorgeous local ingredients available (where possible, depending on time of year). A cooked breakfast of eg bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomato with juice, coffee, and pot set yoghurt with blueberries is approximately $15ph or there's pancakes with ricotta and fruit...to name a few examples.

Dinner might be local fish or seafood bouillabaisse or perhaps a Mooraccan tajine, or a vegetarian pasta with home-made pasta...let me know your tastes and I can cater to them. Desert will be something yummy all for $25ph.

There are lots of attractions in the area, boating, fishing and much more. We are 3-4 hours east from Melbourne and look forward to welcoming you to our home. Please note that dinner would be an extra charge if required and a cooked breakfast also. Happy to provide the basics however which as you can see from the reviews is quite a substantial breakfast :) there is a coffee machine or two in the room as well...and beans and grinder are provided ensuring you have a cup of fresh brewed coffee to sit on the verandah with or just ask and we can make one to order for you.

While the unit is really for 1-2 people, there is a double couch that might be suitable for a child if needed.

Additional Location Information

We live in beautiful Lakes Entrance, 85 metres up looking out to Bass Strait. We are on the outskirts of the town of 7000 that is usually quiet and peaceful but come alive and swells to 30,000 in the summer months and Easter. We have lots of native birds (parrots, kookaburra's and some very cheeky magpies that we share the backyard with. I keep a few hens (chooks) for the fresh eggs they provide. Our town in on a large lake system that has eco-tours and lots of water-based activities...you can also swim on the surf beach (patrolled in summer) and wander the lake. There is lots of fishing and walking trails around as well. Seafood is plentiful though not so much in winter.
