    Additional Location Information

Three Palms Apartments are located on the Atlantic Coast of Tobago ideally positioned between Crown Point in the south and the main town of Scarborough. The airport at Crown Point is 15 minutes drive from Lambeau with flights arriving from Trinidad hourly and international flights from the UK and North America coming in several times a week.

Scarborough, the capital of Tobago, is also a 15 minute drive from Lambeau. There is a ferry service to and from Trinidad twice daily at the port in Scarborough with very reasonable fares. Scarborough is also home to most of the banks, the post office, the museum and the hospital.

Lambeau is a mainly residential area on the coast with exquisite views toward Trinidad to the SW and along the coast. The Old Milford Road that runs on the coast from Crown Point to Scarborough was the only road for many years connecting these two areas until the Claude Noel Highway was built further inland. While people use the highway for convenience, they often use the Old Milford Road just to enjoy the scenic beauty.

Three Palms Studio apt. was 'Home' for the month of Feb.

Left on 03/07/2013 for a stay in February 2013

When we read the reviews for this property a year ago, we knew we had better book it well in advance and are so happy that we did. Our Studio apt. was perfect for the two of us...big patio with lots of plants, a birdfeeder and a view of the ocean! Giselle and son Robbie welcomed us with open arms and made us feel as though we'd come to stay with friends...as indeed we had! Giselle, the transportation to and from the airport was so-o-o nice...thank you! This was our first visit to Tobago and Giselle made such a special effort to introduce us to so much and so many. We cannot thank her enough for all she did to make our stay perfectly wonderful...including the most lovely birthday lunch and cake at Giselle's "Shore Things Cafe" that I have had in a very long time. Comfy bed, mosquito bed net, microwave, stove/oven, toaster, fans, tv, internet access, full size fridge/freezer, all the dishes and cooking utensils you need to self-cater...weekly change of bed linens/towels/beach towels/table cloth...lots of drawers for our clothes and wardrobe with hangers. Special mention needs to be made of the waterfall showerhead...great water pressure! :-) Lots of privacey here...and a huge yard filled with wonderful trees and edible fruit (bananas, mango, breadfruit), an abundance of birds singing all day long, easy access to both the ocean (short downhill walk) and to the main highway (ask Giselle about the short-cut). Area neighbours were very friendly, properties well-kept and there were no security issues whatsoever. Lambeau is a good area to stay in...quick ride into Scaroborough for banking, and to Pigeon Pt./Store Bay for a day at the beach. The island of Tobago is relatively small, so nothing is beyond reach, really. We didn't rent a car but found transportation to be very easy to access on the main highway...just waving down a cab/driver is a simple task and very affordable. Bus tickets for the public transportation system are available at the bus station in Scarborough, and are very inexpensive. We took the bus to the northern end of the island (Speyside) one day (under $2. Cdn. per person, each way!). The roads that hug the coast are winding and the drops to the ocean quite steep...for that reason, and because of the 'left hand drive', we were happier to leave the driving up to the pros! Our Tobago Carnival experiences were amazing...not to be missed...and the music will be with us forever, thanks to the 'Carnival 2013 Soca' CD that upstairs neighbour, Margaret, so kindly made for us. If you are dog-lovers, as we are, you'll appreciate that the three resident pooches will be there to welcome you heartily at the front gate when you return from your daily adventures. That month went too fast!

It was such a joy having you both here for the month and I agree...the month went far too quickly. Hearing about your adventures taking you to new places...even for me...was a highlight . Jeanie, your paintings will grace at least one of the studio walls. Peter...I am going to look out for the recipe for your sweet potato bechamel (?) From all of us at Three Palms ....thank you.

Giselle is a lovely lady that met us at the airport and was always on hand to help us in anyway possible.
The room itself was very basic and at night full of mosquitos, but the location is only 5 minutes walk to the beach and around 10 minutes drive to the main town/port.
Overall if you're not spending much time in your room then it's ok,but it was terrific to meet Giselle and experience some wonderful Tobagan hospitality!

My wife and I have just returned from our stay in Tobago at Three Palms. If you are lucky enough to have found this listing, book it... It doesn't take long to read the reviews and realize that people have truly enjoyed their stay here. The apartments are spacious, bright, clean, well located, offer seclusion and an ocean view but most importantly you are staying with someone (Giselle) that genuinely wants you to enjoy your experience, is kind, courteous, helpful, and interested in making sure you have everything you need to have a wonderful stay. Like most of the others reviewing here, we wish we could have stayed much longer and felt more welcome here than any hotel, bed and breakfast, or guesthouse that we have stayed in recent memory. Thank you for everything Giselle, you will never know how much you made our vacation. We hope to come back soon!

truly everything about the stay was wonderful. the studio apt is like living in nature even if you stay inside. there is a lovely patio with mango tree and a bit of a view of the ocean. 5 minute walk and you're at the beach. Giselle and her son are wonderful people and she goes out of her way to ensure you are acquainted with the island and introduced me to many people- she even lends you a mobile phone. There is wi-fi and maid service. I stayed for a month and wished I booked the 2nd month but it was already taken when I asked. We became fast friends and like family.

A great place to stay. Near to the airport, beaches and other amenities - including Giselle's gourmet cafe and craft shop. (A "must visit".) Giselle was superb and very friendly - even lent us a mobile phone since our Irish ones didn't work. The appartment was very clean and well appointed - absolutely ideal for us. If we ever get the opportunity to visit Tobago again we'll be staying at Three Palms for longer, but not in early December unless we decide we want a holiday in warm rain!

What more can I say then during this trip we fell in love with Tobago! First of all Giselle and her son were fantastic. They were so knowledgeable and helpful. Without them our Honeymoon would not have been the same.
Tucked away in the lush fruit trees you will find these quaint apartments. From our balcony we could see the atlantic Ocean and within minutes we were able to walk to the beach and buy fresh fish from the local fisherman. Our favorite beach, Pigeon Point was only a 10 minute drive or taxi ride and offers beach chairs, food, drinks, souvenirs, not to mention the most beautiful beach I have seen.
Giselle helped us to find local companies for various activities including a boat tour, horseback riding bareback in the ocean, and massages. This was by far the most relaxing, informative, and not to mention romantic vacation ever! We now consider Giselle a friend and will definitely return to Tobago and Three Palms apartments.

      Peaceful, cozy, affordable.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The atmosphere was very pleasant and peaceful. Giselle the owner & her son were so helpful & friendly. She's also the owner of Shore Things which is an arts & crafts store plus a restaurant with a decent, tasty menu that all should check out. I was impressed about the setup of the place and the ammenities. Cable TV, A/C, fridge, stove, hot water, washer, dryer, balcony or patio. Updated and modern, Three Palms gives you the feeling of the Caribbean inside your apartment and out. There are self sustained apartments with a pleasant housekeeper to clean your room once a week depending on your length of stay. The apartments are spacious and can fit at least 4 people comfortably maybe more. No one bothers you, it's gated and places to go are not too far such as the mall, movie theater & beaches. I highly recommend others to check out the atmosphere & hospitality of Three Palms.

      Wonderful

Left on 05/22/2011 for a stay in November 2010

I stayed at Three Palms for a week with my mother (73years) for a week last November. It was my first time in the Caribbean but mum has been many many times.
We were met at the airport by the wonderful smiley Giselle who bundled us into her air-con car and drove us through the streets of crown point (via the supermarket for some basic provisions ..) .to the peace and tranquillity of her home where the studios are located.
We were tired from long 11hr long flight so on route Giselle phoned her other business the excellent 'shore things cafe' and arranged for fresh pizza to be made for us, which she collected and personally delivered to the studio.

we stayed in the sabel studio which was clean spacious and cool. A small shaded terrace provided adequate space for a couple of chairs and a table ..perfect for relaxing on with morning coffee watching the humming birds and geckos... or a rum punch or cold 'carib' in the evening with fire flies lighting up the meadows beyond.
although not directly 'on the beach' a10min walk brings you out by the local fishermen's huts where fresh fish can be brought . every morning we walked on the beach and I swam in the unbelievably warm and shallow atlantic ocean. It was heaven !
Giselle arranged for car hire which was delivered to the house and picked up at the end of our stay at the airport.
She also lent us a mobile phone loaded up with contact numbers, in case we needed her any time we were out and about exploring the beautiful Tobago.
We took a trip to Trinidad and Giselle once again arranged all the tickets..nothing was too much trouble.
It was my first time in the Caribbean and i found the whole experience absolutely amazing. Much of my fantasic experience was due to staying with Giselle at 'the Three Palms apartments' ...and eating out of the Shore Things Cafe ! truely a delight and very much the Tobagan experience x
