You're saving money and living in style in the center of L'Ampolla in Apartment Zebra, the stylish but inexpensive 2 bedroom, 1 bath self-catering apartment for 5-6 guests. It's bright and airy with floor to ceiling glass doors and big windows that look down on the bustling village below. You sit at the apartment's American-style bar after a day of seaside fun and sip a great local wine as you make the big decision of the day: stay at home, save money and cook a gourmet dinner in the Zebra's fully-equiped kitchen? Or step right around the corner t...o enjoy fine restaurants offering razor clams and scrumptious seafood carpachhio? Either way, you win!

Your Apartment Zebra is 1 of 6 units in a contemporary elevator building. Yes, an elevator! You'll enjoy the Zebra's distinctive decor and artwork that make it stylish and fun. You'll spend lots of enjoyable times around the bar, convenient for both casual meals and entertaining. There's also a dining table that seats six, plus a lounge area with a ceiling fan and a terrace built for two.

The master bedroom has a large window, sleeps 2 in a queen-size bed with artwork and a ceiling fan overhead.

The denim-covered sofa bed in TV/Bedroom #2 sleeps 2 guests and has a large, double-door closet.. You can see the Mediterranean from this room's large window. For entertainment you'll have TV, CD and ipod music, DVD player with interesting DVD's and books with WIFI available in the convenient cafe across the street. The well-appointed bathroom has a full-size tub and shower, plus a bidet. There's convenient storage above and below the sink.

Of course, the Mediterranean is the heart of any L'Ampolla vacation, and it's a block away from Apartment Zebra. Walk a block to the Club Nautica to rent a boat or take a sailing lesson. Or you can walk along the sea for kilometers in either direction on well-designed public walkways and cliff-side paths. Beautiful sandy or pebble beaches and secluded coves dot the coastline.

Sea, river and mountain experiences await you in the compact, active fishing village of L'Ampolla. Spain's largest river, the Ebro, meets the Mediterranean near L'Ampolla, creating the largest river Delta in Europe. World-famous olives and rice have been grown here for centuries, so you'll enjoy the Delta Ebro's unique and fascinating culture via local festivals, weekly village markets and summer fireworks.

That's not all! The Ebro River Delta is a National Wildlife Preserve and Bird Sanctuary. Awesome pink flamingos, blue herons and snowy egrets flash across the sky. Wind surfers skim across the sea. The incredible Catalan city of Barcelona is just 2 hours north by car or train. As the national train lines run parallel to the sea through all of the seafront communities including L'Ampolla, Apartment Zebra is within close proximity to the train line and train station. Most guest are not bothered by this.

Rental fees

Additional notes from owner

We require a 100 euro security deposit on arrival, which is refunded at the end of stay less any agreed breakages. There is also a 40 euro end of stay cleaning charge payable on arrival. We require 20% deposit to secure booking.

  We stayed here in august 2012 and found Maxine n Steve to be great hosts.The apartment itself was clean ,quite spacious and had everything you need for your stay if u like home cooking.it was in a very prime spot and the lift in the building was a great help.Lampolla is a beautiful place and we would definatley consider going back. jk
