We are proud to offer you our circa 1850 stone farmhouse with private in-ground POOL. This historic Pennsylvania home has a private setting in the heart of southern Lancaster County's Amish country. In fact, many of the neighboring farms belong to Amish families. Our home is situated on a 50 acre working horse farm which offers you the unique ability to experience the tranquility of the country without giving up any of the modern conveniences you rely on. Come spend a week in the country! There are many activities for you to enjoy that are unique to Lancaster County. The Amish community is of great interest with tours to attend and shops to visit that display the Amish lifestyle. Also, there is an abundance of outlet shopping within a 15 minute drive (Pottery Barn, Ralph Lauren, Gap, J. Crew, Pfaltzgraf, Brooks Brothers, Aigner, local crafts people, and many more). We are only minutes from a large orchard where you can pick your own cherries, peaches or apples. Experience live theater at the American Music Theater, Sight and Sound, or The Fulton Opera House. We have theme parks too - Dutch Wonderland, for younger kids (15 min), & Hershey Park (45 min). Lancaster also boasts many quality restaurants for all dining preferences. You can tour local wineries or historic museums. Finally, The Philadelphia Zoo, Baltimore Inner Harbour and National Science Center are only 1 1/2 hours away. There is so much more to do, just ask.

We have recently returned from this terrific home, and we cannot wait to return. There is only one problem with this home, once you arrive, you don't want to leave. We arrived and were greeted by chocolate chip cookies, cereal and coffee...such a nice touch. My grandchildren wanted to go swimming-so we went to the pool and found an abundance of pool toys, one that made the whole trip better as our 3 year old sat in it the whole time! The home itself is immaculate. It has every thing you could possibly want. They even supply smore sticks ...we enjoyed the screened in porch, the front porch, and the pool area so much, that it became a debate as to where we should enjoy our morning coffee. The pool was cleaned every morning, and the grounds were so beautiful. You sit by the pool and hear the amish buggies to the front and the horses in the back. The children enjoyed running around, playing basketball, playing all the games the owner provides, and we even found puzzles towards the end of the week. We all cannot say enough about how professional Lindsay and Wanda handle the rental. I have rented many properties, and they are, by far, the best owners I have come in contact with. We cannot wait to go back,this home is close to everything, but far enough away to be the most peaceful, charming setting there can be. Have fun! Also, Dutch Wonderland , Abes Buggy rides, and Cherry Crest Farm were terrific...

This place was awesome! It was clean, comfortable and so relaxing. My children will not forget it and are already asking when they can go back to the house with the horses. Staying there was getting away from it all but its still within driving distance of where we wanted to go: amish touring and hershey.

We just wanted to send a quick note to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay week before last. It was a wonderful opportunity for our family to gather and relax. We appreciated the ability to put the one year old baby to bed and be able to socialize in another area of the house without waking him. He loved looking at the horses and walking in the grass (simple pleasures!). This is the first time we have tried the weekly house rental idea and it was perfect for us. The property was lovely, well maintained, and welcoming. Thanks for everything.

my friend and i took our husbands, kids and grandkids here for a long weekend. the house is beautiful and the cookies at our arrival were great. we were so thrilled to see the house decorated for christmas. we went for a shopping trip but came back every night and played games and watched movies. we had a great family trip. the grounds are also beautiful. you will be very pleased if you stay here. we look forward to going back next year.
