With an open-plan, first-floor living room enjoying spectacular views across the fields and able to sleep four people with one double bedroom and one twin, this cottage is ideal for a family or a small group of friends. This superbly restored granite barn, near the small village of Lanivet and close to Bodmin, is set in the stunning open countryside of Bugle. Successfully blending the period charm of exposed timbers, weathered granite and a wood-burning stove with modern practicalities and a well-equipped fitted kitchen, this wonderful property is great for anyone looking to enjoy old-world country living. The cottage also comes with a lovel...y garden and patio furniture – a wonderful excuse for enjoying some al fresco dining.

Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot, highchair and stairgate on request. Off road parking for two cars. Pretty garden area with lawn, patio and garden furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Riding stables 500 yards. Shops and pub 2.5 miles.

Town: The small, rural village of Lanivet, just to the west of Bodmin, is a collection of picturesque properties well served by a good local pub and a handful of shops. Though the village itself can provide the bare essentials, the nearby town of Bodmin has everything you could possibly need for a great vacation. With its shopping centre, the Bodmin Jail, the Courtroom Experience and a good position on the Camel Trail, this lovely town has something for everyone to do. Other local attractions include Bodmin Moor, and Cornwall's main surfing coast and beaches a mere 12 miles away. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  It took us a while to find the easiest way to the cottage through the various lanes. A beautiful quiet location with the opportunity for walks in the countryside. Easy access to the coast, east & west, and numerous gardens.
  The cottage was well furnished & equiped,benifitting from being open plan at first floor level Friendly owners who were helpful. Ideal for out of season holidays or short breaks. Michael Z.

  This is a lovely barn conversion in a very peaceful location The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need.The only thing which might be a disadvantage with this property is the distance to the nearest shop.On the whole though this is definately the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in.

  An excellent property located in a peaceful area south of bodmin. We found the property a great base for exploring both south and north coasts, aswell as the eden project and adrenalin quarry. Fantastic hosts is Steve and Tracy and our boys thoroughly enjoyed weiner the cat coming to visit. A brilliant property.

  This is the best holiday cottage that we've stayed in - in fact, to describe it as a holiday cottage would be to completely mis-describe this very high quality barn conversion. Not only is it very comfortable and contains all the facilities that anyone would need for a UK break, it is also set in a lovely, peaceful area. Very highly recommended

  The cottage was very nice and well apointed, the welcome was friendly and I would recomend this cottage. The only issue was that it was not walkable to anywhere, however, with a car was very well located for accessing most of cornwall.
