New ZealandMagnificent House in Superb Location
Left on 04/17/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We stayed five nights in early January this year. We arrived in the evening to find the house very warm and simply delightful. The kitchen is spacious and very well appointed, everything necessary is provided. The entire house is finished to a similar high standard with spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas.
From the windows, the view of the viaduct and ramparts, which are illuminated at night, is stunning.
A short walk over a quaint bridge takes you to the Boulangerie and several restaurants and bars. It also leads to a steep cobbled street lined with very old, beautifully maintained buildings and the Medieval town of Dinan. It is a fascinating town to visit and from the ramparts there are great views of the port and viaduct. A visit to the quite large Thursday market added to the interest and enjoyment. We were able to do day trips to Rennes, Mont St Michel, the market town of Dol and St Malo, all places steeped in history.
We would highly recommend a stay at this magnificent house and it is a wonderful location for a memorable holiday.

SurreyPerfect spot to explore Dinan and surrounding area
Left on 04/09/2013 for a stay in August 2012
We stayed with friends and our 3 year old daughter last august. The house is beautiful and has everything you could need. The kitchen and bathrooms are gorgeous! It's in a great spot by the river and there are lovely walks and cycle rides you can do. We hired a little motor boat which was brilliant fun. It's a short walk into Dinan, but there are lots of restaurants in Lanvallay to enjoy near the river. The house and location make for a really great stay. I would recommend it to anyone and look forward to going back this summer.

We really enjoyed our week at this very beautiful house. The house facilities and location and excellent. Wendy was very helpful for booking and even offer to lend me English language books from her own collection. She also fixed the non working internet immediately when we texted her. The were a few small things that we felt could have made the stay more comfortable, the wi-Fi speed was very slow, and only annoying as there was no TV so we used iTunes to download things we wanted to watch, the cleaning supplies were kind of rationed when we arrived, we bought a whole box of dishwasher tablets to leave for the next guests, there was some type of irritant grass in the lawns that were not mowed out the back, and a few small other little things. The stay however all up was really nice, Wendy very plesant. Stunning house that could be truly amazing with a few more little extra touches.

Melbourne FLOur favorite vacation rental!
Left on 05/05/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Wendy was very responsive and handled the rental very professionally. She even went out of her way to help us arrange for another rental that was not one of hers; thank you Wendy!! The house was very comfortable with good heating, 4 big bedrooms, (2 canopied queen beds) and 3 1/2 baths. The kitchen was huge & looked like it was just remodeled. In fact everything looked new except the giant antique wardrobe in the downstairs master bedroom. The house is a half block from the Rance River & just a short walk across a small, romantic bridge from a bakery & restaurants. We loved the medieval town of Dinan and also took day trips to St. Malo, Cap Frehel, Carnac. I highly recommend this beautiful house, which was a 300 year old abbey.

JerseyExcellent house in a perfect position.
Left on 02/01/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We stayed during midweek in early January. The house was perfect, the pictures don't justify it even though they are great. A spacious very well designed house, the kitchen is massive! Each of the bedrooms are wonderful very comfortable.
In terms of position it is perfect, right down on the river in view of the magnificent viaduct. 30 seconds walk from the boulangerie and half a dozen excellent restaurants on the river. Dinan is a lovely vibrant little town great fun to explore.
We were here during the depths of winter and loved it but would love to come back during the summer season, great proximity to a number of lovely beaches and the house has a lovely outside areas for lunches and dinners in the sun.
We would recommend highly for people to stay, families, groups or couples. Great stay - Thanks -

JerseyFantastic House, fabulous location- we'll be back
Left on 12/12/2011 for a stay in November 2011
Stayed here with my husband in November for a long weekend and it was a perfect get away. We were joined for a night by friends with their 3 year old daughter. The house is amazing. Much better than expected and we were expecting luxury as described. It has so much character and charm and is very comfortable, warm and equipped with all you need. The kitchen and dining room are amazing with views through huge windows of the viaduct - beautiful at night when it is floodlit. It is a great house for a group of friends. very good facilities and lots of bathrooms, so no need to queue in the morning! We loved the location down by the old port in Dinan just over the beautiful old bridge. I think this area is the most picturesque of the town including rue Jezrel, the steep cobbled street that leads up to the main town from the port. We have so many photos! Tip - walk across the Viaduct for the best views of the old port and a birds-eye view of the house. Lots of good restaurants to chose from in the port and main town. We ate outside in the November sunshine! One day we walked along the river tow path to the next town Lehon, yet another beautiful old town. It is a lovely walk. We plan to return next year in the spring/summer with our bikes as we have heard the tow path goes on for miles passing through villages and locks etc and we'd also like to rent some kayaks and explore the river that way too.
If you are going to Dinan, you must stay here! you won't regret it and you'll be telling everyone how marvelous it is! -

JerseyFantastic stay
Left on 12/02/2011 for a stay in September 2011
I stayed in this house with my daughter and another family and had such a superb experience. The house is truely stunning and whilst it is very old and traditional, it is decorated to an exceptionally high standard with all the necessary mod cons required (wifi, microwave etc. - only thing is there is no satelitte TV but there is a DVD player and fairly reasonable selection of films). Although it didn't affect our stay. The house is situated in the old port, minutes walk from a load of riverside restaurants, not to mention delicious croissants from the boulangerie - perfect French breakfast. We took our car but didn't use it at all. The house is only a short walk up the cobbled hill through the ramparts, to the main town. Maket day on Thursday mornings is also not to be missed. Wendy, the letting agent did a fantastic job in making us all feel welcome and settled in. We will definitly be back!!
