Generous apartment in the former house of the famous writer José Saramago, in the middle of Tías. The location of the house offers a good and comfortable starting point for excursions all over the island.The beautifully designed holiday apartment is on the first floor of the former residence of the Nobelprize-winning author José Saramago.When you enter the apartment, you are in big, open and light-flooded living and dining room, that was designed, as the rest of the apartment, by José Saramago himself. Within the dining room there is a comfortable seating area with SAT-TV (Astra) and a generous dining area.... In one corner is an additional bed for a fifth person.On the left hand side is the well equipped kitchen, the bathroom with shower and the 2 bedrooms.In front of the apartment is a veranda with sunbeds, orientated to the west, so you have a nice view of the sunset.Underneath the apartment is the library of the writer, that is open to the public from 10:00 until 14:30, and a small souvenir shop where you can buy for example Saramago's books.The Casa Saramago is located in the lower part of Tías, close to the roundabout that leads to Puerto del Carmen. But the apartment has well isolated windows on 3 sides, 2 sides might be opened without hearing too much of the traffic.Tías is a village whithout too much tourism, with many good restaurants, bars and shopping areas.Rates and additonal charges: Rates are for 2 persons sharing; extra charges for each additional adult 10 Euro/night, for children up to 14 years old 5 €/night.Ask for our conditions for an extended stay (more than 4 weeks).Read more
