Our home is a 2500 sq ft 3-story custom A-frame with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Just steps from Pine lake, enjoy sandy beaches, boating, fishing and barbequing. Take a 3 minute walk across the road and enter Soldier’s Memorial Park with Stone Lake’s quieter beaches and children’s playground. A public boat launch nearby and large private driveway make it possible to bring your boat along. Our home in La Porte, Indiana, nestled between Pine and Stone Lakes, offers fishing, hiking, swimming, boating, and spaces for picnics and barbeques and more, all within walking distance. Grab the sand toys from the garage and walk down the driveway and over to the sandy beach for some exercise and fun with the kids. Grab your fishing pole head over to the lakes for your chance to catch bluegill, walleye, largemouth bass, perch and crappie. Take a short 5 minute drive into downtown La Porte, to relax and enjoy the excellent restaurants and shopping opportunities. If you are a golfer, three courses are only minutes away. Enjoy Garwood Orchards (just 10 minutes away) from May-Oct, with its 400 acres of u-pick fruit and vegetables including berries, apples and pumpkins, concerts and horse drawn carriage rides. On Saturdays (thru Oct) head into town for the Farmer’s Market with its fresh local fruit and vegetables. Only 1 and ¼ hour from Chicago and 30 minutes to South Bend, and 20 minutes to Lake Michigan. Enjoy this home as a base for Notre Dame Football games. Within 10-14 miles you will find the South Shore Train (service to Chicago and South Bend), the Lighthouse Museum, the Lighthouse Outlet Mall Shops, Blue Chip Casino, Berry picking Orchards and Wine Tasting Tours.

Our family's stay at this house was amazing. We arrived just before sunset, unloaded the luggage and walked down to the beach for gorgeous vacation photos. After our walk along the lakes, we returned to the house to settle in for the night. Everyone enjoyed exploring the house, sampling the organ/piano and relaxing out on the decks. The house was clean and comfortably furnished. We chose the 3rd floor bedroom with private bath and deck. It felt like a romantic getaway even though the kids were on the 1st floor. Between the board games, the lakes, and the parks, the kids stayed busy, enjoyed nature and each others company during our stay, and so did we, that's why we decided to call it Lake Paradise.
