Located just outside the city of Tours, MANOIR DE CLAIRBOIS is the ideal place for visiting the famous castles of the Loire valley and for exploring the many vineyards that follow the river. The Manor offers three beautifully decorated guest rooms with all modern comfort. Breakfast is served in the spectacular dining room. Two restaurants are at walking distance, many others at a few minutes car distance. The Manor is set in a large park that borders the river Cher. It holds a large swimming pool. The owners - two former diplomats who have travelled throughout the world - have a sense of hospitality that makes their guests like home.

BY CAR: arriving from Paris on autoroute ( A 10 ) take exit 22, drive 6 km to the east in direction of Vierzon / Bourges, Before leaving village of Larçay, enter the park to your left.
BY TRAIN: Larçay is only 8 km from Saint-Pierre-des-Corps TGV station ( 55 minutes from Paris-Montparnasse ). There are several rental car offices are at the Saint-Pierre station.

My wife and I stayed at Manoir de Clairbois in 2005 and enjoyed it so much we recently took our two adult children and their partners back to enjoy the experience. The Manoir is set in large and attractive grounds. All three double suites are attractive and very comfortable although the (slightly more expensive) Rose Room is the superior one, with its separate charming sitting room and lovely views over the park. The breakfast room is elegant and the breakfasts are terrific. The multi-lingual proprietors are charm personified - personal and attentive but not invasive. All of the Loire chateaux are within easy driving distance from the property. Would love for others to enjoy this little gem.
