Description from the owner

Enjoy a relaxing vacation in a popular resort area on the beautiful peninsula of Samana. Walk only 2 minutes to the beach or less than 10 minutes to quaint seaside restaurants. The house, covered in palm thatch, lends itself to indoor/outdoor living. Enjoy the large veranda, a thatched 'kiosko' and an outdoor kitchen with sink, barbecue, gas grill and bar.. It is possible to have privacy even with a group of six but common areas are large enough to be together to cook, eat and have fun. Lounging, stargazing, walking the beach, swimming and birdwatching are special treats as well as having restful moments in the beautiful tropical gardens...Read more

If you don't have a car this is among the very best locations in Las Terrenas. A very good spa is only a three minute walk and the Las Terrenas Sailing Club only a fifteen minute walk. Your Own Villa with Tropical Garden, Beach and Memories to Make!

Left on 05/06/2013 for a stay in December 2012

We stayed at this lovely, well-decorated home for three weeks (Dec., 2012-Jan. 2013) and had far more than "a vacation." This was an adventure, especially because the hosts (who live elsewhere) are helpful and plugged into the best "secret" beach and sea restaurants and as long-time travellers can point you in the right direction for fun and meaningful exploration. The villa itself is spacious, cool and authentic in architecture and in art. There are many surprises: two porches look out onto tropical gardens; a draped gazebo with twinkling lights for evening dining; a hammock, a large outdoor shower with privacy and beautiful local tiles, and large bedrooms to spare! The kitchen has everything you'll need to self-cater, including coffeemaker and juice squeezer. Here you are close to the ocean (across the street) and to town with authentic restaurant but far enough away for rest and quiet. Go!

A place you will never forget!

Left on 12/05/2012 for a stay in December 2010

We stayed in this house with 3 couples in December and had an amazing time. The house is beautiful and the land and beach surrounding it are superb. The outdoor shower after the beach or for sunrise showers really make you feel like you are on a true caribbean vacation. The owners of the house are willing to help guide you to interesting places for food, hikes, shopping etc. I would definitely recommend this place. You can find an interesting array of food just outside your door from fresh fish that you can grill at the house, italian or french cuisine from the ex pats there or local dominican fare. Its a true adventure!

We are so pleased that you all had such a great time. WE have just completed some great renovations to La Paloma which makes it even more romantic and inviting. Hope you'll come back to enjoy Las Terrenas and tryout the ZipLine in Samana. We did last year and it was a thrill.
What a nice surprise to get your unsolicited review. Thank you. I guess you didn't forget your vacation of 2010.

      Paradise!

Left on 11/12/2010 for a stay in March 2010

My first tropical trip staying at a home instead of an all inclusive. I absolutely loved it! It felt like my home away from home. Within minutes we were at the beach and just a short walk away from this incredible village -- fabulous restaurants nestled along the water. Everything is at your fingertips, including buying fish from the locals right off the boat, preparing dinner at the house and dining in the yard under a canopy of twinkling lights. If you are ready to break away from an all inclusive, this is the place to do it. Such a warm, inviting, tropical home! I can't explain the feeling -- to come home to this paradise at the end of the day was an experience I'll never forget!
