Villa Pasion Tropical is everybody's tropical dream: a luxurious 270 sq. mts. villa in the greenest tropical surroundings just behind the most beautiful beach of Las Terrenas. Set in 1100 sq mts. of lush beautifully landscaped tropical gardens with its own private sun deck and swimming pool both spectacularly placed just outside your living room and only 300 meters from the beautiful Las Ballenas beach.
Our villa is made up of a large living room, a kitchen, 3 bedrooms (2 king size & 1 queen size bed) 3 very spacious bathrooms, a smaller living room (sleeps 2 people in 2 individual bed size couches), a kitchenette & a dressing room.

Beach Details: These are definitely amongst the best in the country. They unfold in an endless succession of rounded small, medium and big size bays; each of them offers its own special and different charm. They all have in common huge forests of beautiful and tall coconut palms on the back – this is the highest concentration of coconut trees in the world!- so thick and green that if you look at the shore from the clear turquoise water you won’t even realize there is any tourist activity behind them.
The water on most beaches is always calm as they are protected by barrier reefs. Coral reefs are close enough to the coast that they can be reached by simply snorkeling from the beach in a few minutes swim in the crystal clear waters! The color of the water is exceptional, with its varieties of shades of blue and turquoise displaying themselves from the shore into the deeper sea.Beaches are never crowded and there are so many of them along the coast that you can always find a beautiful spot for you
Restaurants & Nightlife Details: Although small, Las Terrenas has a surprisingly wide variety of trendy restaurants and bars where to spend the evening hours. Located mainly directly on the beach, with terraces overlooking the sea just a few steps away, the restaurants offer everywhere surprisingly high quality creative dishes with chefs that have moved here from all over Europe. The large influence of French and Italian cuisine fuses here with the tradition of local food and fresh sea food ingredients. You can also find nice cocktail bars of tasteful design set on the beach or under the palm trees as well as more traditional salsa and meringue clubs where locals and tourists dance together the tropical rhythms under the moonlight !
Excursions & Getting Around: The Samana Peninsula is a natural jewel and it has a lot to offer in terms of excursions and adventure. Apart from literally being able of going to a different beach every day there is a whole variety of places that you will have the chance to visit while you are here. The famous waterfall El Limon is a national celebrity and is only a few kilometers away from Las Terrenas. From January to March thousands of humpback whales gather in the Samana bay from all the north Atlantic for reproduction and they can easily be seen in their natural habitat from one of the authorized boats visiting their sanctuary. Playa Grande, a five kilometers spectacular white beach, is a couple of hours drive from Las Terrenas and the surfers´ town of Cabaret just a few more minutes away from it. Playa Rincon, with its unparalled water colours, can be reached with a short but unforgettable boat ride from the village of Las Galeras, one hour drive from Las Terrenas.

The villa is a 5 minute walk to the beech, its located at the end of a small lane, no other properties behind, or to the side, but their are other properties before you arrive to this 1- so the villa is not in a isolated location. The house is super, the outside space is wonderful as was the pool and gardens. The booking process, payment and dealing with the owner was super easy, Jose was very .
It would have been good to have had a full guide of local places, what care hire firms to use, quad rentals, and good restaurants and how to access medical facilities if needed. If you speak English the whole area will be more tricky, Spanish and French are king here.
The house is large, airy and light, everything was very good, well worth the money, if you had a bigger party you could hire his other villa, which is very near to this one
The airport collection and return arranaged by Joses agent was easy and great,
The local area and town are excellent, not spoil by high rise concrete, real in every way, the food and local beeches and bars are very nice, we went with a 4 yr old boy and a 11.5 yr old girl, everyone had a great time, no sickness.
The people we and saw were all friendly and smiling, we had a security guard provided at night, how is armed with a shotgun, as a English person not used to seeing guns we under stood why as every villa / hotel has them but it was a little odd for us.
We would return to the DR and also to this villa as the over all experience was excellent.

Villa Pasion Tropical I is a beautiful place that will make you appreciate Your stay in Las Terrenas even more. The villa is private, with on site caretaker, and nightly security. The beds are super comfortable and the decor is wonderfully done. We cooked our own breakfast each morning and dined at several wonderful nearby restaurants. If you love lobster you can have it here at a great price. We saw a whale while on the beach and did a self-guided tour of some remote beaches. We rented a quad, which was delivered to the villa and picked up before we left. You'll love relaxing by the pool and thinking how hard it will be to go home. The management is responsive and professional. It helps to speak some Spanish in Las Terrenas but you'll be fine without it.
