There is so much to say about this fabulous villa and its location in Las Terrenas. I will start with the flawless modern architecture of the villa itself. Beautifully decorated rooms, comfy beds and a perfect bunk room for the kids!!! Each suite was unique and well appointed. Josefina is a fabulous cook and worked very hard keeping us happy during our stay. The pool was amazing!!! The only problem I had with the house was the lack of a comfy living area for us to lounge out of the sun. A short path takes you to a fantastic swimable beach. Palm trees, warm ocean water and very few touristas! The grocery store is not too far and had lots of items. For delicious pasteries Mi Corazon is where its at. Flora Tours will set up a horseback ride to El Limon Waterfall, totally worth it! We flew into Santo Domingo which is a little over 2 hours to Las Terrenas. The ride is so beautiful that you barely notice how far it is. However, my elderly parents didn't enjoy it as much as us. If you want to get to the house quick, JetBlue flies into Samana 2x per week from JFK. The vibe is laid back and reminded me alot of my excursions to africa. There are no huge resorts yet, but trust me, there will be!! Always felt completely safe. I typically don't go back to places I have been, but this place just might be the exception!
