Portland, OregonBeautiful, peaceful, refreshing place to stay

I visit Vegas every year on a business trip & have had variable experiences with hotels in the area. This year, I decided to try the Wyndham vacation rental. The entire process was positive & downright refreshing. The representative of the Sun or Snow rental management company was responsive, helpful, & straightforward. There were no hidden fees, as is so often the case with Vegas area hotels. The staff at Wyndham were welcoming, friendly, & helpful. I was warned about possible pressure to buy into a timeshare, but received none.
The rental location is nicely outside the chaos & hustle of the strip, but still conveniently located to reach business activities there with minimal travel time. The whole facility is clean, comfortable, & secure. The rental itself was wonderful. I opened the front door, turned on the light, & thought, "Ahhh." It was a spacious, comfortable home away from home. Fully appointed kitchen, laundry, living area, comfortably sized bedroom, generous bathroom, tasteful furnishings, & very clean.
The only potential downside I noticed is that the walls between two adjoining units are quite thin. If I'd had partiers staying next door, the noise might have been troublesome. The guest next door were not loud, however, so I had no problems with noise.
I would absolutely recommend both the Wyndham Grand Desert & the Sun or Snow Vacations rental managers. I plan to have Sun or Snow book my stay at Wyndham Grand again next year. -

This was my first stay at this location, I absolutely loved it. The room was spacious, clean & had a great view of the pool area. I would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for luxury for less...this is the best!

Wife and I met our Family at the Wyndham Grand. Very nice place, very good rooms, rates were great as well. They have multiple roomed places so families can get together in the same room, or couples and their parents. Will probably use again as the resort is literally walking distance from the Strip.

Left on 08/15/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Yes it is possible. We have been to Vegas several times and always stayed on the strip. We booked a one-bedroom suite to attend my brothers wedding and absolutely loved this property. It had everything that we could have asked for- quiet adult pool with a walk up bar service, mini cafeteria, Starbucks coffee stand, a shuttle to the strip, overthetop impressive staff that helped us with every challenge we could throw at them successfully!! Best pricing for 'BlueMan Group' tickets, best information for tour attractions,Best value in Vegas and the very limo drivers ever. It may be a tad far for walking but the shuttle is very very convenient. Will stay here from now on.

I liked being able to park right by my room and not have to carry luggage etc through a casino to get to the check-in and my room. The room was the size of an apartment with two bedrooms and baths as well as laundry facilities. The Wyndom is in close proximity to all casinos with easy access. I will definitely return to the Wyndom when I go to Vegas again.

advertised as a luxury suite with afull kitchen, jacuzzi tub. etc. Not at all. it was a teaser to sell you a time share. the unit we got had a kitchen that you would find in a travel trailer. Small regulat shower/ tub. the bathroom was not even a master bathroom. Our friends stayed on the strip and had a nicer room for less monery. The rooms they want to sell were very nice. I wouldnt purchase a time share from them cause they lied from the start with the misleading add

We had a wonderful stay at the Wyndham Grand Desert. We were pleasantly surprised with the clean and spacious room with kitchen facilities and washer and dryer. We were in Las Vegas for a wedding, and had no desire to be on the main street, so this was a really nice reprieve for us. The shuttle that took us to the main strip as well as to the grocery store was very handy and we used it every day. This resort made our stay memorable!

NOVAGreat place to stay off the strip and all its craziness
Left on 07/01/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Wyndham Grand Desert is located about 2 blocks away from "The Strip" with all the big name casinos in Las Vegas. The entire property is very well maintained, safe, clean, and has a few wonderful amenities.
The property features a spacious lobby, free business center with print capabilities (great for printing copies of airline confirmations and boarding passes!), an adult only pool, a parking garage, Free Wifi internet, a Free shuttle to and from Harrah's casino on the Strip, a 24 hour pool, its own Starbucks branded coffee cart, and a cocktail lounge. The property also has a fantastic concierge desk, staffed by people who were very knowledgeable about the area and able to steer us to great local favorites that did not "break the bank" so to speak.
We stayed in a one-bedroom deluxe, featuring a full kitchen with dishwasher, full-sized refrigerator, and microwave and an in-unit clothes washer and dryer. The bathroom had a separate shower stall and jetted jacuzzi tub in a separate room off the bedroom. The bed mattress was a king-size and Comfortable. The unit size was very comfortable, if not a bit spacious. Friends of ours who stayed at the Luxor saw our room and noted how much nicer it was in comparison. Midway through the week, I requested additional bathroom linens and laundry detergent and was quickly accommodated with no additional charges.
Security officers were frequently seen patrolling the grounds and were very helpful and friendly to guests. We definitely felt very safe staying here.
A few possible areas for improvement include keeping the coffee cart open later, as well as running the complimentary shuttle later. Additionally, the rooms feature a motion-sensor a/C system, meaning at some point when you leave your room, the a/C shuts off and starts up again when you return. I'm assuming this is intended for "green" purposes, but it's annoying to wait for the room to cool off (we were there at the end of June when it's HOT HOT HOT!) after coming back from daytime adventures. When on, the a/C system was well up to the task of keeping up with the rising temperatures outside (It's a dry heat, remember?!)
Overall, a very solid property with fantastic amenities and location. I'd highly recommend this to anyone considering a trip to Las Vegas. -

We very much enjoyed our stay in the one bedroom condo. We really wanted the one bedroom delux but were unable to get that. Would definitely stay there again. The shuttle to Harrah's was convenient. The staff were all good.
