“A wonderful house in a wonderful setting” My wife and I so enjoyed our time in the Stones' house on a lake. It is beautiful with all the needs any visitor could want. I enjoyed boating on the lake, seeing eagles and other creatures. The folk we encountered in the area were all friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the local church. We would return to that house in a heartbeat. Joey and Brenda Jeter

About Minnesota

Minnesota is often known as the land of lakes, since the state offers thousands of square miles of untouched northern wilderness, much of it covered by tranquil, glassy rivers, lakes, and waterways. Find a beautiful secluded vacation rental or a quiet cabin in the Minnesota woods and experience this landscape for yourself. Wake up in the morning in your private cabin and enjoy a cup of coffee, then head out onto the water in a canoe or kayak and watch the sun rise over the pines. Listen to the sound of the loons and the gentle waves lapping the pebbled shores of your own private Minnesota paradise. This is a perfect place to spend your days hiking, exploring, and fishing. In the evening, come home and grill the day's catch for your friends and guests. If you prefer downtown adventures, spend your day on the golf course or relaxing in a world-class spa. After the sun goes down, enjoy the spectacular dining and nightlife opportunities that the Minnesota cities have to offer.

Here are additional suggestions for your trip:

  • Minneapolis: Visit the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden or see a professional sporting event at the Legendary Target Field.
  • St. Paul: Visit the History Center Museum, a world-class Minnesota art museum, or the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory in St. Paul.
  • Duluth: Take a tour of the Glensheen Estate, a 39 room American castle built in a forest overlooking Lake Superior.
  • Rochester: Visit the Rochester Arts Center or see a fantastic show at the Rochester Civic Theater.
  • Bloomington: Bloomington, Minnesota is the home of the world famous Mall of America, one of the largest malls in the world and an indispensible stop on the great American road trip.
  • Explore the National Parks in Minnesota: Minnesota's national parks are beautiful places to experience the best Minnesota camping, hiking, horseback riding, boating, and fly fishing adventures. The parks offer hundreds of miles of trails and breathtaking waterfalls.

Join the thousands of visitors who come to this scenic state every year for gatherings, weekend getaways, family reunions, and spectacular outdoor weddings in Minnesota. Tour the wineries, splash the afternoon away in the water parks, and experience the best of Midwestern dining and nightlife in Minnesota. While you're here, be sure to spend some time exploring America's other great Midwestern states like Iowa and Indiana.

Wonderful

We lived the house! We took our mom to Mayo for a week. This little house was so convienent to Mayo. It has EVERYTHING you need! Very comfortable beds. Awesome bathrooms. Loved the all season porch where we spent most of our time. If we ever need to return we will call Jason (the owner) first.see more

Wonderful week

We had a wonderful week on Gull Lake. A beautiful home on a point on Gull Lake. We had our extended family with sons/daughter in law, my brother, 90 year old mother and our two dogs. It could not have been a better week nor home. Will definitely come again. Thanks to Mike and Joy. What a beautiful home!see more

Secluded cabin on trout stream with grand piano!
Not enough good can be said about this palce.

This place was incredible. It very comfortably slept five adults, and came stocked with everything we needed for a really great weekend. Hotels are fine, but you'll never find a place that feels quite like a home--unless you find a place like this. We stayed very late in October, and we came prepared with thermal underwear and extra sweatshirts, but the little wood stove heated the whole place marvelously. Also, you just can't beat the crackle of a fire in the background. The cabin is sunny, has lots of windows, and is such a peaceful environment. And if peace and quiet isn't your thing, you can always rock out on the baby grand piano (which we did into the wee hours) or put on one of the many CDs found on the shelves. The cabin is a very short drive from town, and not far away from State Parks. We had hoped that there would be accessible hiking trails within walking distance of the cabin itself, but we couldn't find any. That's really our only small disappointment in our whole experience, and we enjoyed our drive out to the park. The cabin was perfectly clean when we arrived, and we felt immediately comfortable. It would be great for a couple looking for a romantic escape, perfect for a group of friends looking to bond over great times, perfect for families looking for a charming town to bring their kids to, perfect for an artist/writer/musician looking to get work done in an inspiring environment. I don't really gush over things unless I feel they truly deserve it, and this cabin deserves every star I gave it and then some.see more
Forest Cabin "Eleanor"
Most relaxing honeymoon ever!!!

My wife and I went up to Eleanor the day after we got married. It was just the best trip we could have possibly hoped for. After all the stresses (worth it, but still a lot of work:) of a wedding this was just what we needed. We had the whole place to ourselves. The cabin was super clean and modern. The lake was small, but really all you could want as far as canoeing and kayaking. Outdoor fireplace was super neat with the stone seating. Highly recommend! We will be back! Thanks Annie!see more
