Gloss’ Farmhouse is a magnificent Irish farmhouse overlooking 150 acres of farmland just two miles from the delightful village of Lauragh. Situated in a lovely rural location at the heart of the breathtaking Caha Mountains and 14 miles from Kenmare in County Kerry this delightful holiday property has been lovingly restored to its former glory. Gloss' Farmhouse is tastefully decorated and boasts a spacious kitchen/diner with exposed beams and a comfortable sitting room complete with woodburner for chilly nights. The little village of Lauragh has a convenient small shop and village pub, and from the lovely holiday home you are perfectly placed to explore the bustling town of Kenmare, the Beara Peninsula and the charming rural villages of Eyeries and Allihies.

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Absolutely loved Gloss' Farmhouse from the instant we arrived. The house was painstakingly restored a few years ago and overlooks a spectacular view of a mountain valley near to Healy Pass.
  
  The house is furnished to a high standard, so that you feel more like you're house-sitting someone's own home rather than staying in a holiday let. The beds were comfortable, everything was spotless, and the overall feel gave an immediate sense of peace and relaxation.
  
  The location may seem a little remote for some, but it is right off a good (but quiet) road on the Beara Peninsula (well worth taking the Ring of Beara drive - we prefered it to the Ring of Kerry in many ways) and provides fantastic seclusion if you're hoping to get away from it all. Close (about 2.5 miles) to Teddy O'Sullivan's pub and a few local restaurants, and within 20 mins drive of Kenmare, we found it an ideal base.
  
  Would definitely return. In fact, if we make another trip to Ireland, it would be difficult to resist booking another stay here - especially at such a reasonable price (though do be aware that you will be charged separately for the oil & electricity used at the end of your stay).
